12:31. The Viet Cong, or Front National pour la Libération du Sud Viêt Nam, did have tanks, but unfortunately the jungles of Vietnam were not really suitable for heavy tanks or main battle tanks. They could however use PT-76 amphibious light reconnaisance tanks. There was the Battle of Ben Het, the only tank battle during the entire Vietnam War. And guess what. The Americans won because they had 4 M48 Patton tanks while the FNL only had 10 PT-76 tanks. 2 PT-76 tanks were destroyed while the rest presumably retreated and the Americans only suffered light damage on one M48.
Something it would be cool for a video is a recreation of Operation:Anchorage! from Fallout 3 in GTA 5, like it could have 3 parts, first the US must destroy the fuel tanks in a chinese tank depot, second: Us forces must secure a listening post and defend it from a counter attack and finally, The US will assault the refinery that serves as the PLA´s HQ with T-51b´s
It went from US trying to advance on the NVA but instead it ended up the NVA counter attacking and keep pushing deeper into US held areas until finally stabilizing the front a the end
Something like that would be good for enlisted. Fight the Vietcong on the ground with a helicopter gunship. In Enlisted such vehicles would be more fun. Or if you’re trying to stay off the radar before attacking….. but if you’re already across enemy lines and you already dropped your bombs, I would think the last thing you would want to do is stay low?!? Doesn’t that just make you a easier target for everyone on the ground on top of all your enemies already in the air?!? Just saying
