How Did Israel Destroy Iraq's Nuclear Ambitions?
Вставка

- On the night before the holiday of Shavuot 1981, Prime Minister Menachem Begin shocked his cabinet by announcing they would be launching a surprise attack called “Operation Opera” on a nuclear reactor in Iraq, known as Osirak.
Should the operation fail, the lives of four million Israelis would be at risk, however Begin chose to go ahead with the plan. Despite the large criticism Israel faced in the aftermath, Operation Opera was successful in protecting Israel and preventing Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein from building nuclear weapons.

This dedicition was what started what has become known as the "Massad shadow government" where they integrate into powerful, democracies to create those countries Israel policies.
When the first Gulf war took place 9-10years after Opera, many of the nations who condemned Israel now owed the Jewish state a huge thank you… but I can’t remember any of them saying it publicly.
Saying thanks for committing genocide?
For stealing nuclear secrets ( yeah those two Rosenbergs hung for that) ....
The world needs to go into evil is a hell & destroy its not so secret nuclear arms & facilities.
Begin the terrorist who killed innocents even his own people & they voted him the murderous terrorist P M.
Never again....well not so....zionists in is a hell kill those Semitic Christian Palestinians & still are in a Genocidal holo......caust.
Naughty boy.....begin the terrorist murderer is an evil butcher
NOT! Israel attacked the U.S. Naval Ship U.S.S. Liberty, mass murdering U.S. military sailors. Israel stole weapons-grade uranium from a NUMEC plant in Apollo, Pennsylvania. They assassinated John F. Kennedy, They committed Terrorist Acts in Egypt & in Egypt again on U.S. government personnel. They blew up a movie theater in Egypt which American citizens were inside of. They blew up the World Trade Center in NYC, they got caught underneath the George Washington Bridge 🌉 by the United States Marine Corps & the Israeli’s were planting explosives 👀 They got caught by U.S. secret service in 2018 spying on Trump & the White House & lest not forget they got caught in the 1980s, an American spy for Israel who was USA Navy, and who got sentenced to Life in Prison for espionage. Who btw was recently released & was welcomed as a hero for selling U.S. secrets to Israel & Russia.
No! Israel is NOT friends with the USA. The USA is just intelligent enough to keep their enemies nearest to them. Sooner or later the USA will feed Israel to the Arab League & hey @Israel: You’ve nobody to blame this time but, yourselves. Fools! All of you!
They explained why. Doing so would've prompted a violent reprisal from groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and potentially start wars with states against Israel. This was evident from the Gulf War.
I met PM Begin in Ottawa Canada when I was a young child. I'll never forget it.
"I'm a naughty boy, aren't I?" - Menachem Begin
Menachem Begin is a legend
The world especially Israel needs brave leaders like him.
Menahem Begin was courageous man
He will not give damn about world opinion or condemnation
Israel security comes first
Wish there are more like Menahem Begin
The man did what he had to! Its kill or be killed, and there we very few deaths. I have nothing but respect for Mr. Begin and his decision. Not to mention the pilots did a fantastic job!
With a little help from God himself!
the harsh brutality of being a jewish fighter in mandatory palestine. Either you die and are pitied or kill people and are hated(paraphrasing from golda meir).
Begin absolutely made the correct decision. It’s a good thing Begin was in the Prime Minister’s office to make that crucial decision because it sounds to me like if Perez were to have been PM at the time he wouldn’t have made the same one.
Am Yisrael Chai!!!
Thanks God for the brave Israeli prime minister MENAHEM BEGIN Z”L
This American Baptist is old enough to remember this making news.
God bless M. Begin. God bless his Irgun spirit.
Thank you for this video glad i found this channel
Had not the LORD been with us, when people rose against us, Then they would have swallowed us alive, for their fury blazed against us. (Psalms 124 - 2)
Begin was the Man.
Absolutely correct and virtuous decision ever taken.

Preemptive war is always moral against someone if they're threatening your existence.
“ha-ba le-horgekha, hashkem le-horgo” “ if someone comes planning to kill you, you should hurry to kill him first” from the Babylonian Talmud.
Ah, gotta love how professionals explain the point of freedom without bashing you over the head with religious moral agendas😅
@@the2ndcoming135 it’s no moral agenda. The Jewish people have been close to extinction many times in their existence, the Talmud is correct in it’s wording. If you can’t see that, then I’m afraid you haven’t much brain power to understand this comment either.
@@Imcna2230_ extinction isn’t a moral agenda? Don’t be a little bih bro🤣
@@the2ndcoming135 the threat of extinction is a reason to defend yourself. There’s no religious moral agenda at play.
Great cover of Menachim begin's love for Israel. Well appreciated video, thanks from India.
He made the right choice but man what a risk. I'm glad I'm not in his position to ever have to make such a choice :)
Oh okay😌
It was rebuilt not long after and renamed "al tuwaitha" which 73 american f16s failed miserably to destroy and ended up with bombing civilian bomb shelters in baghdad, also osirak/al-tuwaitha were not the only reactors in iraq at the time.
He is a GOOD NAUGHTY boy!
I was 13 when this happened. And President Regan when he learned about it. And he said What??? Then he said Boys will be boys!!!!! And I hope one day. The Israeli Air Force pilots will come to an airshow in the United States to show their skills. That would be outstanding. The PM made a chess move. And he won!!!!
One of the best parts of Israel Independence day is the airshow put on by the Air Force all over Israel!
@@UNPACKED awesome!!!! I know they getting the F-22 and the F-35s very soon

This is great stuff, thank you!
Absolutely love this channel
Im learning so much about my people
It’s about commitment huh? Instead of wanting that exotic🙂
Why Israel is not doing the same with Iran? The threat is bigger right now.
Iran will pursue its nuclear ambitions wether you like it or not
@@fernandooliveira3432 , but Israel will punk them.

He did the right thing and excellent video thank you and have a good evening.
First time F16's were used in a strike role. The folks @ Nellis studied it.

Long live Palestine
And, in fairness, you totally skipped the whole Canal fiasco.
I subscribed nonetheless.
*Operation Opera of 1981* Great move
Can you please make a video about how Norman G. Finkelstein is a national treasure?
anyone know the yeild of the nuke if it were launched and how many of them he had
He had none, the bombing was to stop him from getting them in the first place.
@@jyreklordinthrain7813 i trying to say if they bombing didn't occur what nuke yield would he be able to produce
@@jonnajohnsons2684 It was too early in the process to say. They were just enriching uranium. Even with Iran which has a far more advanced nuclear program it's not possible to say.
think about iraq with nuclear weapons 10 years later ... it would be like what happening with russia today.
Last I read or saw(on youtube). There are still 20K US Troops in Iraq looking for WMD's. Mostly Mustard gas bombs/artillery shells, Sarin gas shells, and a host of others....Those things don't go quietly into the night.....
This is the story of Top Gun 2
Great video! I love history too...Umm i think history repeats under the same military doctrine. Iran's destiny could face the same predicament. In Iraq's example, US finished it up as it did with Iraq war taking out Sadam Husseim
Israel may need to repeat this operation ......!!!!!! just change the letter q in the name of the country with the letter n and you will know !!!!!!!!! only this time further away and more complicated . But there is no doubt that the plans are prepared and ready to go if there is no choice !!!!!!!!
We fight with guns, while you should take the sword - Israel

Bro Iran is not Iraq
No they did it to both
Israel gets to have nukes but not Syria , why ?
Great video but you left out why Iraq didnt just rebuild it a 2nd time more secretively
Why didn't they?
@@EL-oj6uq because you gotta nip it in the bud. Otherwise buddy is just gonna skate off kee-keeing with his homies and then his homies are gonna keep trying you because you blew the opportunity of checking the guy you intended to get to begin with😂
The reactors sold to Iraq were research-class, and would’ve taken “decades” to produce enough fuel for weapons. That’s assuming the hundreds of foreigners and foreign inspectors all disappeared.
*There* *are* *Already* *videos* *on* *this* *Topic* 🔥
The Massad shadow government took out all the Iraqi nukes by 2003 but had problems passing it on to Bush though Mussad, US Congressmen.
ghg
why would israel have nuclear weapons unlike iran
Because Israel isn't threatening to wipe another sovereign nation off the map. Israel's nuclear weapons are there for deterrence, not use. And Israel has a lot of enemies it needs to deter. Iran's only use for a nuclear weapon is to destroy Israel. Simple.
@@deans5086 israel actually is now making peace with a lot of its neighbors like egypt in 1979 and the abraham accord with the uea morocco Sudan Bahrain and soon lebanon and saudi arabia so that mean that israel only have one enemy and its iran . but even if iran want to wipe out israel from the map with an atom bomb is impossible because it will effect all the region including iran itself same things for israel if they want to attack iran
in the end we should have negotiations between all contries of the middle east away from the us and the west and we need the region free from nuclear weapons and foreign interventions
@@ziadmoujahid6752 Egypt only made peace because they realized they couldn't defeat Israel but best believe if they could have destroyed Israel there would be no peace. This is the reason any of its neighbours have made peace with Israel, if any had the capability to destroy Israel, none would make peace.
How can there be negotiations when Iran refuses to negotiate or recognize Israel even exists? If Israel had no nuclear weapons, Israel wouldn't have peace with any of its neighbours. Israel's threat of using nuclear weapons against Egypt in 1973, is the reason there is peace today.
yes israel won the 1967 war but lost the youm kipour war in 1973 because the egyptian crossed the bar leve wall and pushed the israeli forces back to israel and then they retook Sinai after the peace deal and that exactly what Henry Kissinger have always said
the problem with iran is that they see israel as an occupation force that toock a land that is not theirs in the first place it's like negotiating with a contry that colonize another
🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
Iran will finish where Iraq left off
The United States pays for 20% of Israel's military budget while Israel has a space program, universal health care, and still runs a budget surplus for six of the last ten years.

Stop already!! Your Bullshit comment pasted in every video on Israel and Jews. Please stop using all products made by Jews and Israel. Stop using your phone, your computer, your printer, your generic medications, stainless steel, color photography equipment, etc. Go sit in a dark room, perhaps all the thousands of upgrades and research and development that Israel gave US Manufacturers should be taken back. The US gets more from Israel, than Israel gets from the US.
And your point? go ahead, stop paying it, that money serves more the US interest of keeping a foothold in the middle east than any Israeli interest, as you've said, it helps Israel, but we don't really need it.
@@E_y_a_l Foothold in the Middle East? The United States has bases in Turkey, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
@@coreysmith8489 Good for them, that doesn't disprove my claim, try again, and as I've said, go ahead, stop paying, you're the one who just claimed Israel doesn't need that money, so you think you're threatening anyone? I ask again, what is your point?
@@E_y_a_l Actually it does disprove your claim that Israel is important to the United States as possible foothold in the Middle East. The U.S. already has much more than a foothold in the Middle Esat,
As a right wing Jewish from Israel, Menahem Begin did so many cringy mistakes in his career, but this is the only right thing he did. Today everyone in Israel knows that Begin is the worst PM ever.
