- This was a little bit of an epic entrance set project to work on! Front door panel and transom window for above. Many many hours in the making of this one (probably a week and half, on and off), fun times!
Workshop move update:- Slow process but I'm getting there, give me 6 or 7 weeks 😂
Hope everyone has had a great week!
🍻🍻🍻

Thank you for the awesome video.
Aww thanks for 🩷💜🩵💛
My heart stopped for a sec when you moved the whole panel the first time and it bowed inward. It’s crazy how much that panel will flex prior to cementing!
There are a couple of ways to make the flipping over easier but I had faith the window would stay in one piece. I was I little nervous but it made for a good clip 😂🩶🩵❤️
I'm with you on that one. Nearly had a heart attack. I wonder if it has ever actually collapsed?
This is a big one, that door must be massive. Love the red here. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers buddy! That door is a monster! 👻👻👻
You are special
Aww too kind! 🍻🍻
Hi Jan. The way you get the roundness of the lead is great to watch. I'm sure repetition plays a big part of it. Have you ever put a kink in it?
You can normally tell as your bending if it's going to start kinking. If you change where you're applying the pressure you can save it and get the smooth bend you need 💙💛💚. Cheers for watching 🍻
Watching you bend the came to go around the center flower was just *chef's kiss*
Always a treat watching you work! Thanks for taking to time to make these videos and share them with us.
Aww thanks for the appreciation buddy 🫶🫶
Crikey! That's a big window! Your customer will be really pleased with the result, it is gorgeous 👍
They've been intouch and they love it 💛🧡🩷 cheers 🍻

Been watching a lot of these videos and (currently living in an old house with windows that are starting to deteriorate) how well does the lead cams hold up to weather over the years? Do they need to be protected by an outer window/maintained every year? Just curious as intuitively exposed metal seems like it would rust
My windows are made in the same method as all the very old church and cathedral windows around the world. It's not uncommon for them to last hundreds of years if left alone 🫶
May I ask when you started in stain glass work … and what inspired you to this profession…. and who trained you?
It was the family business I started nearly 27 years ago and was taught by my mum and dad 🫶
Boa tarde meu amigo, parabéns mais uma vez simplesmente lindo
Cheers buddy 🍻
Beautiful work! Do you print your own patterns or have them done? Do you use english muffle glass?😊😊
I make and print all my own designs 🩷💙❤️ and yes lots of English Muffle, one of my favourites 💚🩵💙🩷🧡💛
I wonder how long this took from start to finish
It's lots of individual sessions as I'm always working on several projects at once. A project like this is normally around a couple of weeks from start to finish 🧡
Buenos días, cómo se llama elaterial que utilizas para dar estructura al vidrio? El que parece como metal, saludos.
It's all traditional lead came 🩶🩶🩶🩶
@@LightLeadedDesigns Muchas gracias.
How long do you need for a project this size?
Just over a week, working on and off but I started the design back last July!
I follow with great interest and curiosity. My question is, do you have a workshop where you can teach us this job? Or will you even have such a purpose? Thanks
My videos are a fantastic way to pickup tips and learn from watching. But I'm sorry I'm very much a busy craftsman making projects for my clients so I'm not able to teach classes 🫶
@@LightLeadedDesigns thank you so much 👌
👍👍👍
🖤🩶🩷❤️
How much came did you use?
Computer says 51metres 😯😯😯
I found that good cement is getting hard to find. My supply store used to makes its own, but later started to sell regular commercial cement that does not hold very long. What brand of cement do you use? Or what is the recipe? Thank you!
I mix my own but it's a very similar recipe to the ones you can find with a Google search for leaded light window cement recipe 💛💙💜
@@LightLeadedDesigns I had found some, but unfortunately the internet is full of "experts" that don't know what they are saying (you don't want the cement to start to crumble/leak after a few years!). I would have trusted your mix! Thanks!
Please tell website almunium rod purchase for me
It's traditional lead came 💜🧡🖤
You should put a mask on you while you sold the lead.
Thanks for watching buddy 💜🧡
