- I was tasked with replicating this traditional stained glass door panel design for my clients new 1930's inspired front door. Lovely little window that came out looking super nice 👌

Absolutely stunning. We have similar styled windows in my house built in 1928, would love to refurbish some of them, but I'm all in the way in South Africa. Very insightful and interesting to watch the full process. Would love seeing how you do the digital design thereof as well.
Thanks for watching, l love hearing that these windows exist all over the world. I did use to show bits of the designing side but no one was interested to see maybe if I could jazz up the drawing process a bit and make it seem a bit more interesting 😂🤜💥🤛
Which video shows the digital design process?
3:52 Hi Jan, is that an oyster knife that you are using to flatten the edges of the lead for the rounded look? Tia.
That's correct it's an oyster knife 👍
What program do you use to design your templates and how do you print them? Killer work!
Cheers, I invested a huge amount of penny's in my own design program a few years ago and I have a large printer 🖨️😊👌
Is your computer problem available for purchase?
Hi Kira, thanks for being interested but I'm afraid not 🫶
Stop music man....
1 vote for no music.. Anyone else prefer to do away with it?
What do you do with the tiny pieces of glass that you can't use in windows? It would be neat if you made a mosaic with them or a window for yourself out of the random shaped pieces (though that does seem difficult given how small many of them are).
I reuse the smaller pieces in other windows if I can, I have a lot of glass but it's expensive to buy!
What design software do you use please
I spent a small fortune making my own design program a few years ago 🫶💛
Me gustan sus obras de arte 🎨 😁 👍🏻
Thank you 🤜💥🤛
Is that sort of Art Deco, or Art Noveu?
It's kinda neither really, those 1930 style designs are a bit of a mix up 👍
Well done my friend, you are an artist in the full sense of the word👌
Thanks for watching buddy 🤜💥🤛
I love your designs and color choices and especially your glass scoring technique.
What is the glass cutter you use? Palm size, not pistol grip. Where can I purchase one?
I have a few Silberschnitt oil filled glass cutters and I've had them 20+ years but they stopped making them many years ago 😭
Do you still cement if it's an internal window as well? I presume you do for stability. Love the look. I love art deco 😊
I mean there's no set rules, if someone was making for there own home and it was a small window but I always cement every window I make. Otherwise it would be very wobbly indeed!
Yes, i saw you wobbling it. 😆
@@louiseberman4241 everyone loves a good 'window wobble' 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for watching Louise
Who installs the stained glass into the doors I’d like to see an installation… I have been binge watching your videos I wish I was as good as you are at stained glass.
With being super busy making I don't get involved in fitting. If the client is local to Manchester I have a few contacts for joiners who have fitted my work before or the clients can arrange there own fitter 💜
What computer program do you use?
A few years back I spent a small fortune making my own design program to streamline the process as I've made thousands of windows over the last 26+ years
Beautiful. You have a great knack for choosing colors.
Aww thanks for saying 🌈
Another beautiful window! I love the look of simple transparent glass in the colors you use. What manufacturer do you use most? And can you show us the windows in that door behind you where you are cementing and cleaning it up?
So many windows in my workshop, I'll try to drop them into my future videos and my favourite glass is probably Wissmach 👍
@@LightLeadedDesigns Yeah, a wee tour round the studio.😊 Are the dragon and fish in the window, your personal windows?
As always a delight to watch. Thanks for sharing your great talent.
Thank you! Cheers!
Where did you get the round handle cutter? It makes cutting curves look so easy. I usually use a pistol grip and have never been very successful mastering the pencil cutter lol
It's a Silberschnitt model and I'll had it for 25+ years but they stopped making them many years ago now 😢
@@LightLeadedDesigns Thank you for answering and man, that sucks! :(
So beautiful!!! You picked the best red
Manchester red ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👌👌👌
Nice work . Bravo
Thank you 💙💚🧡❤💜
Can that be mounted in external door?
It will be mounted in an external door yes 💛🩷🩵💙
Love the colors in this one! They are all beautiful. Enjoy watching so much❤😊thanks
It's a great looking window, cheers for watching ❤️
👍👍👍👍👍
💙💜❤️💚
Votre façon de procéder me plaît beaucoup. Vous êtes un véritable artiste . J'apprends beaucoup en vous regardant. Merci pour votre partage. J'adore ! ❤❤❤
It's nice to be appreciated so thank you kindly 🙂🤜💥🤛
Just found your channel and fell in love with your work. ❤
Do you need a special company to take away your waste, considering you work with actual lead?
Your windows are gorgeous. I love the bee window designs the best, but the artwork you created that was on TV was amazing. Congrats!!!
I'm been working on improving my UA-cam videos, I'm much better at shorter form for reels. Bare with me whilst I get them smoother 🤣👌
Lead is super expensive so very little waste.. I weigh in a little scrap lead maybe once every 10 years 🤣
Am from India can I get training from you
I'm sorry buddy I'm so busy I don't have the time to teach but cheers for asking
@@LightLeadedDesigns thanks for the message .. actually u r from which country ..
I love watching your videos. You make it look so easy.
Thanks for watching 🩷💚❤️
❤❤❤
💚💛💙👌
Beautiful work! Do you make your own cement mix?
Yes I do! It's a very similar mix to what can be found with a Google search for 'leaded light window cement mix' but my exact mix recipe is a bit of a family secret 😂
Beautiful workmanship ❤
Thank you very much!
