I’ve done everything you said, I was about to scrap my car as I decided to tap the second new starter motor, a few blows with a rubber hammer and it sounded rough at first, then ran perfectly, deliberately stalled the car and restarted a few times, all’s well now. Thanks for the tips, I bought 2 batteries and two starter motors but finally got there in the end.
This video reminds of a no start diag a tech I used to work with did. He replaced the battery and starter and still didn't start. Problem was a broken connecting rod that was sticking out of a hole in the side of the engine block.
You are the man on how technical you are there's no doubt about that because I've seen what you do! BUT how are these guys mechanics lol. That's the most basic diagnostic ever for a no start. Hahaha. Replaced the battery and the starter to end up with a seized engine? Lol.
Great videos , I just took a position at a local production plant to maintain their fleet of electric fork trucks. I’m familiar with working on electric drive utility trucks like vantages and electric UTVs . I was wondering where I could find resources to learn more on model specifics like Hystra
So what he’s saying it seems like without being condescending about it is, when you’re troubleshooting, there’s a certain diagnostic tree that you take so that you’re not wasting time replacing parts for new ones?
My issue was keyswitch to starter. Thing was ready for salvage. "Trash". Routed keyswitch to starter and got the customer going. They don't want to replace a lift so at least make the lift work...
Battery is perfect, switch goes on, but when i turn the key more for cranking, nothing else. I am starting my diesel forklift directly from self starter by connecting both negative and positive points with the help of a screwdriver... what else with my forklift... Please advise somebody...... Even i didn't find the fuse box,,, where is it?
Ever have a Toyota lift stall while turning, I’m working on one now and can’t figure it out the Toyota techs can’t even figure it out , runs good has new vaporizer and only stalls when turning all the way either way
So i have a 6.2l im having the same issues with.. should the motor be easy to turn if its not locked.. hopefully.. because ive been thinking thats my problem with my diesel truck..
Where are you located, and what's a number I can call you at. I'm in Milwaukee Wisconsin and I need someone like yourself to help with some forklifts I have.
@ForkliftGeek it's ok. I'm a trucker, and I go to Toronto sometimes. But if I need any help with a phone call or pictures/videos, what's a number I can reach you at? You can message me it if you'd like.
You probably already fixed it but my guess is that is was either the ignition switch, neutral safety switch, starter relay, or high resistance due to corrosion in the cables going to the starter or starter ground. Do voltage drop tests from battery positive to all cables going to starter and from battery negative post to starter housing.
Slight lack of experience I think there it’s a live and learn situation there if you’ve not experienced something before then how are you supposed to know so they’ve learnt the hard way of just throwing parts at it doesn’t always solve the mystery always ask the machine why and never assume Personally I think everyone would have tried the battery but just jump start the engine if it still don’t turn over it’s not battery then I’d have done what you did check for the amps to the motor and then see if it turns over manually job done 30 minute job to diagnose maybe 🤔 Great video might show it to my apprentice give him the experience
You have to take into consideration who his primary audience is. It's his junior techs not UA-cam. You can tell that they're having a hard time grasping the concept when they think high electrical resistance will cause a higher amp draw. The techs need reinforcement of basic electrical principles and the best way is repetitive verbal, written, or practical hands on training.
The fact that he explained everything so precisely is just commendable
Just fixed my wife's daily driver - our '74 Suburban - based on this video. Thanks much!
Great video! Your students or junior techs are lucky to have you.

you always make it look so easy and reliable
Just wanted to say thank you for your video, I have a starter alternator and starter shop and it helped

That is why I'm using this case to train our new mechanics, so hopefully we don't get these anymore. lol.
This is as good of work as you will ever see
I appreciate your efforts into this video mate keep it going
Gonna look out for more videos on your channel because this was awesome
Thanks again for another great video.
Great video once again!
Damn dude, you are like the dr of engines

you explained everything very well
I appreciate this video of yours and the efforts as well it was a great one overall
You also took the generator belt of? Sometimes when they break the engine also gets stuck
Yes we did.

Excellent work. Learn something!👍
Video on a pallet clamp for raymond order picker?
Good video! Thanks!

What model? Only.when turning and not when maxing out tilt or sideahift?
Does it die when turning while driving or even when it is just parked and maxing out the steer?
@@forkliftgeek10 it will die while driving and Turning , it runs fine you can max out all the hydraulics , only when turning,
Check throttle body. Clean it out.
Could be relief on stearing stalling engine ?
That was a very well explained prosses of diagnostic. Also they could of tested started before replacement. good job as always.
I've had a couple of starters that pass the bench test but can't produce enough torque to turn the engine.
So i have a 6.2l im having the same issues with.. should the motor be easy to turn if its not locked.. hopefully.. because ive been thinking thats my problem with my diesel truck..
I would think diesels take more torque to turn because they're higher compression engines compared to gasoline/petrol engines
Exercise video 👍👍
What to do if my engine is seized
Rebuild or replace my guy.

Sorry, but I'm in Toronto Canada.

Just message me on messenger or Instagram. I'll try to help as much as I can.
My 07 Silverado , new battery , new starter , put the key and nothing
Also it’s a 5.3 ls
Checked all of the fuses but nothing

I felt the video was quite long honestly it was quite boring
For someone that does this on a daily basis this is pure gold. This is information I can carry out in the field
I bet a lot of Men hobbies get you bored easily 😅
I agree ☝️ 😂
Maybe you should try an hour long quilting class once a week
there came a moment where I was legit getting bored!!
I felt like wasted my time on it
This was not worth watching at all
You keep reciting your self over and over get to the point
You talk too much which is repetition and no objective info.
