  • T/W: Dissociative state and brief description of psychosis
I filmed this video feeling quite disconnected and so my speech and thought patterns are just that - disconnected. Hopefully I was still able to convey a little of what I am currently feeling during this time.

Hello you beautiful lady. First of, i wish to thank you for sharing this video with the world. We need more understanding of psychotic experience. I am 26 years old at the moment, and my descend into mental disorders started from when i was about 18. If i can recall well, the basic problem before my descend into the world of illusion was of existential nature. Anyways, i have been battling mental issues for 7 years now, up until i was 25 years old, and i have been stable and well for the past one year. During this time, i have managed to take 2 degrees in psychotherapy and counselling and am continuing my education on psychology at the moment. I do believe that from my personal confrontation with psychosis, the very worst part of it, is the dissociative part. For me, losing myself through dissociation, felt like someone took a very large knife and passed it through my heart. Anyways, i wish you all the best and thanks again for this video and please be assured, everything can and will be completely cured, as long as you wish so. I wish you all the best, and if i may offer a sort of advice try not to obsess about the entire situation, it is hard and i know but try to focus on other things, positive things for you. Peace out lass.

Hello, first off I believe I should be thanking you for sharing your own experiences and taking the time to comment. I'm glad to hear you've had a more stable year and can only wish you all the best for the future! Hope you're also extremely proud of your educational achievements despite mental health challenges. Dissociation is something I'm sure everyone is affected by to a certain degree so talking about dissociative feelings can only be a positive thing if the subject ever arises:) Also hope you don't mind me correcting you but I'm a transgender guy so thank you for the beautiful part, I'll bypass 'lady' though. Thanks again for commenting and hope you're well.
