3-Year-Old Kidnapped in Broad Daylight From Grandma

- Several bystanders near a Bronx gas station are being hailed as heroes after they helped thwart an attempted kidnapping of a 3-year-old girl. Surveillance video shows the stranger coming toward the grandmother, who was walking home with the little girl and her young twin brothers from a nearby park. Suddenly, the man violently snatched the girl and ran in the other direction. The grandmother gave chase, and so did good Samaritans who heard her screams.
He’s lucky he was confronted by kind people, I would have not been so kind.

Seeing her slowly run after the kidnapper is so heartbreaking. She probably hasn't ran in years. God bless that grandma for chasing after the kidnapper, even if her body wasn't meant for running, and I hope the kid is now living happy.

The grandma was doing everything right. Walking beside the girls, holding their hands with no distractions. There was nothing different she could have done. I can't imagine how she felt.
Plenty she could've done. One: stay in shape. Two: kids should be away from ongoing traffic, so she could've been a buffer. Three: carry a gun.
She even slightly yanked the other two away after the 3 yr was snatched
She could have stayed inside or had another adult join that walk. Frail lady with three young children, the math don’t work. She was lucky the kidnapper had no other accomplices waiting to grab the other 2 kids.

But EVERYONE else on the train just watched the rape happen and someone even was recording it instead of helping the lady.

If anyone (aside from that psycho) I would blame the mother for leaving her 3 small children with their grandma without making sure that grandma had everything possible to make it easier for her to handle 3 toddlers. I wasn't necessarily saying that either, though, I was just saying that she should have had a stroller. Admittedly, my emotions were a little heightened because right before this video, I watched the one where 3 kids go missing, and 2 of them die, due to their parents not taking their responsibility for their children's safety seriously enough. Both children that died were toddlers who had parents that were walking far ahead of them, and suddenly realized that they were no longer behind them. It was incredibly upsetting. I probably should have stopped watching videos for the night after that one.

when i was wee child in the noughties kidnapping was very common. I rarely ever walked to school unless it was with older cousins. Seeing this makes me realize the US is not for us if this is happening in broad day light and at a junction in full view.
As a father of 3 kids under 4 I could not imagine hearing about this happening to me. Getting a call saying my kid was almost taken I'd have a heart attack

When I went to school my brother finished middle school when I went then finished high school when I went and I got bullied at bad schools similar to an eminem story. Only white kid always different schools. I wanted to make sure my kids all can be in close grades together so they have backup lol.

Dude lives in poverty and now hes arrested with a shower, free food, and a bed where theres no rain. He didnt smile for nothing. .. Theres prisoners who even commit crime when they step out of jail because they cant get a job, life is hard.If he was well off maybe hed be in trouble but given his background hes far from it.

The one in the most danger is the one you help first. Had grandma stayed with the other 2 the outcome would be much worse. Thankfully everyone jumped in rather than watching.

I’m so happy she was saved, but I’m also very happy that people stepped in to save her. You don’t see, or hear bystanders helping out sometimes which is very sad.

We cannot judge too harshly what we do not understand. Fear kicks in and some seize, others jump into action. Everyone is different and they're not at fault.

Thankful that he didn't have an accomplice nearby ready to snatch the other two. I've heard that's how human traffickers sometimes do it. They could've easily been shoved into a car and long gone in two seconds.

This made me cry. He should’ve been charged with endangering THREE children and endangering the senior citizen as well. This is horrific but major props to the brave grandmother and the good samaritans who stepped up in their crisis.

@@floofsale I'm guessing he wasn't running because the guy didn't go too far. And maybe trying to evaluate the situation and not knowing yet what is the best thing to do. Like if he got too close would the guy hurt the child or could it have been the child's dad. He didn't know going into that situation but thank God he stepped in anyway.
