Thanks for the info on the settings. I’ve had my ai prime for about 4 months and so far I hate it. Too many settings to adjust, can’t get the colour right, corals not growing. I know you can use other people’s settings but I can’t work out how to get them onto the light. I’m thinking of going back to kessils.
To get the other people’s setting you would go to their link or straight from Aqua Illuminations website and go to signature series. Pick someone’s schedule then download. Afterwards go to the App on the phone and go to the light you want that schedule to go to. Afterwards click on “Control” and below your current schedule there should be a star and once you click on the star click on “select preset” and the schedule should be there ready to import.
Ive got 4 prime 16hd's on a dd reef pro 1200, i run them with the blues in the 90s as there are 4 , would you think that this is ok or would you recommend changing it?
How did you hook up that light with the red sea bracket? I bought the one needed for the prime to be used on red sea nano but no instructions at all lol like rocket science
Does it really produce color spots on the bottom of the tank? I thought spots are possible with LED, but the color must be mixed and the same for each spot...
It's the famous AI Prime discoball effect, caused by the individual leds too far apart from eachother. They improved it in the latest 16HD but it's still noticable. Lights who have closer arranged COB leds don't have this issue.
Loved this series and looking to get my first marine tank next year. This seems to be the tank i want to get so wanted to ask if you thought it would be a solid beginner set up?
Hi the Nano now come with the new light Redsea Reefled 50, What do you think it is worst or better than the Ai? Thank you for your time with all videos.
My son has just got 2 of the new red sea reef LEDs and im very impressed! So much so that im probably going for them on my new build, they are so much better than the AI prime
Hi I’m a complete novice to coral and lighting, does the light need to be on all day or is that a preference of yours or is it for good growth etc? If you was to do a short schedule how long would this be?
I'm not an expert but I'm in the hobby 3 years. You gotta set a steady schedule of lighting for your corals otherwise your corals will die. Amount of light depends of the variety of corals you have. Positively, you have to study a lot about it. Start with corals for beginners, those are usually though and neglect proof.
You said long time ago you will change it for kessil ? What keeps you from doing that ?. On new tank you will stay same or kessil or maybe new red see led90 ?
@@svenderkryptoman8154 looks like you know what schedule you want to use then, don't quite know why you asked for my schedule in the first place then!??

This is a great video. No fluff, just great information and great pictures. Nice work!

Thanks 4 the video
I was wondering i heard from other reefers that the UV higher than 60% burns out the lens, whats you think?
Hi love the videos! Could I ask, if my tank was LPS dominant with 1 SPS coral would you still use them exact settings or lower it? Thankyou
How do you get the start time to turn on and turn off and have the schedule the same everyday I’m new with this light plus love the tank
Bubblegum digi is Mega, nice. I use the radios xr 15 pro and completely felt the same at the start!! Keep reefing 👍
The famous AI Prime discoball effect on the sand.
How did you mount the Prime? Does it fit the standard swinging arm?
Looking great. Hopefully you keep this tank running when you start your new build. I’ve got a couple of videos of my Max nano on my channel too.
Not sure yet, but probably keep it going
Good. It looks like it’s just coming in i it’s own so it would be a shame to break it down.
Again a nice Video, thanks for Information 👍🏻
Thanks for the video ! Is it possible to have a link to download the profile?
How did you attach the gsp to the back wall and how big was the piece ?
I can't speak for channel but most people just gel superglue it directly onto the back.

Yes upto 100 litres, has grown my sps very well
Thanks Nathan, for taking the time to make these videos.
Which Kessil would you go for on a 170 litre square tank?
