Thanks for making this video Corey. After seeing your lights I bought an led 50 about 2 months ago, I’m very pleased with. I did have problems with it last week losing connection so I had to reset it so I will see how it goes. And thanks for going through the app setting as I wasn’t quite sure what everything done but after watching your demonstration I understand it a bit more. I look forward to your next update.
Had trouble connecting to the Internet with my LED 50 from day one. The so called customer service is unreal,in the bad way. I will never buy a Red Sea product again.
Ime they have terrible customer service and they’ll go out of their way to not replace damaged/missing product. I love RedSea products and I’m had good success with them since 2014 but the C.S. Experiences with them fuking suck!
Ok I set mine up picked a pre set but Wana see what the other two look like how do I do that I can't find anything in the app on where to switch pre sets ???
Hi How would this be to strong for a 24 wide x 12 deep mounted at 12 inches or so? What mount are you using? is it the one for the 90? I read it will fit the 50 as well but its 80 bucks! The one specially made for the 50 is only 40 but I read so many bad reviews saying its all plastic and dosnt hang level and when they try to make it level the plastic snaps! I need to mount on side of tank because of my kitchen cabinets so I love that the 80 one can be lifted up to clean and not block off my access to a cabinet! Can this slide back and forth if its the cheaper one?
@@coreywillard9250 I am kind of worried it may be to much so I am over paying for power I dont need, plus my tank is so shallow and my frags are close to the top of scape! I am think of two 20 watt fluvals. I know there a cheap brand but I love how cute they are and the biggest problem with this light is the mount is 80 bucks for the nice one! Did you buy the expensive one or is yours the standard one for a 50?
You ever get an answer for this? I was at LFS and have a 60 gallon as well. LFS told me I could start with (2) 50’s but should ultimately add a 3rd, or I could do (2) 90’s (ideal).
Hi Corey. I am curious to see if you are still pleased with the Reef Led 50? I am setting up a nano tank and was considering the Reef Led 50 or the AI Prime HD 16. I would appreciate any input.
can someone enlighten me on the shimmer please? I mean why has it got to do with different brands of leds? isn't it just light + surface disturbance = shimmer? I mean.. the lights on my living room produces a shimmer as the ray passes through the surface of my tank..
A perfect point source light like the sun produces the most/best shimmer. As already stated the further away the individual leds are, the less shimmer. But not only that, further away leds introduce the discoball effect (=you can see different colors in the shimmering). A Kessel not only produces the most shimmer, but also no discoball because the leds are very close to eachother.
Hey, are you still runninh the same schedule? I've gone off the super intense blue light so am trying out100 percent on both channels in a 50x50x50 cube
Hey someone help me set my light settings. I have a 32.5 gallon running one 50. Im new to saltwater. 23k? 18k? And at what percentage? I will be doing soft and LPS coral. Thanks
Looking to get these lights instead of the red reef 90s only because my tank is a 40 gal breeder tank & I don’t think I need the extra-ness of it. Would two be enough ? They seem simple enough, I just know me and want to get the lighting right so everything else will fit in place just right .
Thanks for making this video Corey.

Andy's reef. I was having problems with connection also. Since the firmware update I haven’t had a problem. These are phenomenal lights.
I've been to look at the 90's today and they are great lights. Getting 2 for my redsea reefer 350 when I take delivery in June - cant wait!!
From what I understand is that they connect straight to your WiFi direct to your device with out a home router
Nice informative and well put together video Corey 👏🏻

Hello Corey, would you still recommend this light in 2024? :)
Yes very much
Could you do video how to set up this lights in offline mode. That will be helpful

Should be way enough power yes

Great video mate.. how many fixtures do I need for rectangular 60 gallons tank ? How you liking it so far ?

I'd say 2 90s would be enough
I have a tank which is 60cm deep and 70cm long what would you recommend?
2 of the led 50s should be fine or two 90s if u are having alot of sps

The red sea led all the way. Its amazing.
Good video, I'm considering these for my 75 gal, it's 48 in long, would you think 2 of the 50s would be okay?
Yes that would be perfect
Maybe consider 3 of the 50s if it's not enough
can someone enlighten me on the shimmer please? I mean why has it got to do with different brands of leds? isn't it just light + surface disturbance = shimmer? I mean.. the lights on my living room produces a shimmer as the ray passes through the surface of my tank..
The more compact each led is to each other the more shimmer

How did you finally get it to connect to the wifi?
My tank is roughly same size as yours, would just one of theses be sufficient for growing mainly LPS?. Thanks in advance
Yes should be
@@coreywillard9250 thanks for the quick response
Do you think one 50 would be enough for a red sea reefer 170?
No.
No, need a 90 if you want sps
Thanks for the video on the 50s
Off topic but is the right temperature 25 degree celcius? 🤔 Man, I've been running mine 28 may explain. Why I'm not getting growth
Yes, 28 is way to high, anything between 24 & 26 is good.
@@coreywillard9250 Thanks dude
Hi Corey, how do you like the reefled 50s so far? Do the connectivity problems still occur?
Only had 2 connection issue in nearly 6 months
Hey, are you still runninh the same schedule? I've gone off the super intense blue light so am trying out100 percent on both channels in a 50x50x50 cube
Which configuration do you recommend for a biocube of 32, with few corals?

Hi, will it be suitable for RSM 130?
Is the 50 ok for that tank ?
Too much to be honest but 1 would be to less
How many litres is your tank Bud?
How are they holding up? still good?
Yes, been running for years and I love them.
Was that a dead goby?
Nice video, very helpful

Yes, 2 of them will do it
@@coreywillard9250 thank you, new to your channel and watching everything from 2 years ago until now
Wow, thanks 😁👍👍
I have a 110L would I need 2 or 1 ?
What are the dimensions?
Thanks for the reply :) 77.5cm length x 36cm width x 53cm height.
You will definitely need 2
Again, nothing about the noise of the fan. Are all reefers deaf?
the reefled 50 is dead silent and I'm very sensitive to noise... My tank is silent and the light adds no noise
