Anderson and his team at FuelTech are really awesome to see, also the safety of fully gearing up for a dyno session s something great to see. Professional and hospitality..great company.
@@stubbingtonmarigold3032 I'd suggest you look up dyno fails on UA-cam and you'll see why these guys take every precaution they can, shit can go from 0 to 100 real quick especially with high HP cars
Maybe I am just old but I really liked the fact that the dude was fully geared up for the dyno pull. I have seen those go really bad a few times so the guy is smart. And a plug and play ECU for jetskis...I'm definitely interested.
These guys are top tear, and it shows many different ways. Even the setup and their operation is by their book and only theirs. It's really impressive!
Check some projects on fueltech channel or anderson dick. Fueltech made in tha house: Ferrari 355 turbo, "opala" (it's a brazilian Chevy with the in-line six Chevy bolt engine) and is working to deliver a mustang fox body with two eletric engines (awd) and a Merc cosworth 230 with JohnPlayerSpecial colors some kind of homage to Airton Senna.
Met Anderson Dick at the HydroDrags a few weeks ago. Really cool guy. Very smart. Love his outside the box thinking when he does his builds. Saw Compound boosted Jetski in person very cool build. Can't wait to see what the future holds.
You can get really good aero if you smooth out the bottoms. Aero is complicated but a lot of people worry about top mounted aero components and ignore the bottom carriage.
That style of dyno seems so much smarter to me. When you're making a certain amount of power it seems like no matter how good you strap the vehicle down something could go wrong, this setup really reduces that risk. I like it! Also, seems like it'd be easier to install in various settings.
Hub dynos are amazing to have. Safer, more accurate etc. rolling dynos are nice and quick tho they both have their place. End of the day they are both just a tuning tool. But if imma be making crazy power I’m going hub dyno 🙌
The van is definitely one of my favorites! I love. A good dyno sesh and that went super smooth! 1000 plus Hp Awd ! This beast is going definitely in the 8’s! Don’t know if you got one of our 70amp relay kits in there but it may give you a little more pump so she isn’t so taxed. 💪🏽🤩

Also u can't have a business n not talk n smile with ur customer n all so that's what make ppl wanna do business with him if they see he always happy n keeps a smile on his face. That attracts more ppl to com to him n that's what is about more business n making customers happy at the end of day
Put the Rowdyssey in a wind tunnel and then maybe do some drag reduction aero mods and test it again, I say maybe because I'm pretty sure wind tunnel testing isn't cheap. I bet it's already a pretty low drag coefficient since mini-vans are made to be fuel efficient, would be interesting to see for sure. Also want to shoutout Fueltech for supporting the BoostedBoiz, they really know how to market their products to their target audience.
If it looks like a brick, it will be as aerodynamic as a brick. It's not rocket science, minivans are not aerodynamic and have massive frontal area.. Windtunnel for a car costs at least a few 1000$ an hour, so I doubt that will happen.
Not a huge jet ski guy, but the innovation fuel tech has worked on here is amazing. Controlling a compound setup through their software is nuts. 1000hp from a twincharged setup has to be rowdy af. Great job guys.

Some of the older MR2s 1st generation MR2s came supercharged from the factory (1984-1989). Owners have been twin charging them since they came out. A lot of other vehicles like diesels have been twincharged as well. Very cool topic of discussion
@@highpsiguy4085 Nissan has twin charged kei. Car (micra/March) K10 built in the 1980's. Mighty car modes has a video with them in Japan checking one out.
It's a shit idea and ends up being nothing but a restriction. i've seen several people try it. I have never seen anyone make a respectable number or have any sort of reliability
We may be wrong but we have a theory why nobody successfully done it, it's because compounding compressors is tricky to figure right sizes and do the correct balance, it is very easy to choose wrong size turbo (typically too small) and supercharger (typically too big) so it will surge the supercharger and brake the shaft as well choke the turbo and make no power.
Volvo makes a production turbo supercharged engine. Above 3500 rpms I think it is the supercharger isn't being used. Engine makes 300hp and good low end torque.
If my math is correct, using the two different torque formulas I found, I came up with 679.21 and 695.33ft/lbs. So most likely anywhere between 650-700ft/lbs
Always great to see Anderson and the fuel tech guys on the channel, seeing how they're putting the effort into making those ECUs run everything! Mini van is putting down some serious power👍
Curious to see how it behaves on the track at high speeds. Hatchbacks and vehicles with similar shapes are known to create lift in the rear because of the aerodynamics. I was just watching a video on that topic. That's why a lot of vehicles with shapes similar to the Rowdesey have to point their parachutes towards the sky for them to work. The air right behind the tailgate has a whirlpool effect
@@obezzyjohnson9680 you're 100% correct. Not to remove the dead air so much as to create downforce to overcome the dead air spot. Adding a wing can make the dead spot taller at times, but if the downforce from a wing overcomes the lack of downforce that's all that matters.
It would make a lap or two before the stock brakes he's rocking would give out and hopefully not crash. It's so heavy he would boil that fluid so quick and those pads would fade so quick.
It’s nice to see how seriously the boys at Fueltech take the safety while on the dyno. He was running fire gear and the helmet to protect in case something lets go. It also looks like you need to put a Teflon strips on the back of the cart to make it slide easier when lifting the front.
