For someone whose very channel is about using tech to expose singers who use pitch correction, Fil would have to be a complete idiot to use pitch correction himself, and Fil is certainly no idiot. He's 100% genuine!
@@NoteNavigatorhahaha thanks for understanding. I actually saw this in my phone while on the street and couldn’t find the conclusion so I assumed due to the title & thumbnail that it came out he was using it and it was an accusatory video. Plus recently I started getting accused of the same by Ken's army and I just saved them the work and disclosed in which covers I did use a little pitch correction and in which ones I didn’t, on my community tab. Anyway, nice work dude. Videos look hard to make.
@M2Singing oh yeah, i get it. No accusations here, Fil is clearly showing high integrity. I do feel bad about the clickbaity title but that's just playing the youtube game. As an audio engineer said in another comments section - there are valid uses for manual pitch correction, it's not universally bad. People being transparent about it is a good thing :)
For me some of Fil’s best tidbits were analyzing Elvis (The Elvis) on Ed Sullivan noting Elvis’s stage presence and audience engagement. Another one was looking at a (bootleg?) recording of Luciano Pavarotti warming up; Pavarotti was known for his ability to hit notes (“perfect pitch”?); while to most people couldn’t tell, Fil was able to demonstrate that the software showed Pavarotti was excellent but not always perfect. IMO today’s processed music (same per sense of processed food) is bland; a little variety, imperfection is good. I mean would anyone remember Katy Perry’s* Super Bowl (49) half-time as well if not for the one shark zigged instead of zagging? Without looking it up, can you name who performed the half-time of SBs 48 & 59? * Perry may not be your “1st choice for a cup of tea” but was up there in 2013 era.
The real deal and some other famous singers like Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, etc. Fil analyzed that Taylor used pitch correction and auto tune bec sounded very robotic for a live performance.
"Click-Bait" is alive and well on UA-cam. Designed to get views from all groups, pro & con, huh? Clever. As you wrote at the end, Fil isn't using auto-tune or pitch correction, so, indeed "Mission Passed".
This cheaply produced video, if we are to believe it, shows Fil does NOT use pitch correction. And seems to be the point of the visual, contradicting the text -- the circled parts are clearly not pitch corrected, nor is anything else. So what is the point? Very cheaply done video by someone who doesn't like Fil, based on the text. But this is UA-cam. Make a ludicrous video and hopefully you get viewers and comments from idiots like me.
I think you misunderstood the video. The text asks a question: does he use pitch correction. The visuals and analysis show he doesn't. Did you watch the conclusion at the end? This is a positive video about Fil being genuine and not using pitch correction at all (as far as I could see). You're right it's cheaply produced, it cost nothing so was produced for 0.
Make a ludicrous video and hopefully you get viewers and comments from idiots like me. Thats is exactly what Wings of Pegasus does in my opinion. Its also is about 99% of what You-tube is. Nothing new. And spending as little as possible to make these video's is actually pretty smart.
@@NoteNavigator You got me there. Such cheap production with misleading title, suggesting Fil uses autotune, no I don't watch such crap to the end even if it is only two minutes long. Life is too short.
@@robvoyles So basically, that one positive comment was your own. Anyway, sure, make the video and do whatever you can to get viewers. That's the name of the game. I wish you well. Fil, however, is not bashing anyone. He gets erquests and determines scientifically whether autotune or pitch correction is used.
Yes this proves he needs pitch correction and maybe some singing lessons from.......Ken, maybe. Also if you have seen his video "That's metal" The only thing about that song that was Metal was the can that the "cheese" whiz came from. Plus you can't get any more grandiose than that in that video. He creates Drama on his channel because the people who like his Objective Analysis video's enjoy Drama and he makes money doing it. It's that simple. You don't need a channel to tell you the music industry is full of pitch correction and lip syncing now. Thats the norm now. The Real music for the most part died after the 90's were over. And concerning Ken Tamplin Drama he stirred up so much....Wings of Pegasus may not be in on it with him, but he's done nothing but get this guy WAY more views/clicks and attention than he had before and now he's is using to his Advantage and thats not nonsense. He's doing it. That guy Ken may not be a good singer but he is one helluva salesman, People walking through the desert are thirsty and when they find a mirage there so thirsty they'll drink the sand, but this guy understands they don't drink the sand because they are thirsty, they drink the sand because they don't know the difference....and he knows that.... and thanks to Wings of Pegasus he now has even more people checking him out to see what all the Drama is about, and he is telling his side of the story and quite a few are listening to him and are drinking the sand.
@robvoyles you have a point. Drama = clicks = money. Not to me though, I'm not monetised and just doing this for fun. It's all a bit over dramatic isnt it. I copied the style putting "FRAUD" in the title and it felt cringey
@@NoteNavigator no worries bud, he just simply says what he's doing is "Objective Analysis" and to him and his subscribers it's fine and they love it, but when i Objectively Analyze what he's doing his followers can't stand it. Maybe Fil is selling a bit of Sand just as Ken is, just a different kind. Just my observation.
@robvoyles having done a bit of this kind of analysis in the last couple of weeks, one thing I've found interesting is that it's not objective. There's skill, experience and subjectivity that goes into the assessment. I got some things wrong and had an audi engineer correct me. You can see the extremes, and full autotune is obvious, but thers subtlety and subjectivity in the middle
@@NoteNavigator Wouldn't worry about it , the music industry is a fraudulent scam at best and within a few years every pop star won't need pitch correcting as all they'll have to do is look good while AI writes and performs the vocals and music. Not a lot of difference really and might even be better.
@@NoteNavigator Anyone who knows what autotune and pitch correction are can tell you that your video proves Fil did NOT use either one. Precisely the places circled prove he did not use autotune or pitch correction. Read the comments. As for being subjective, sure, anyone can look at objective truth and subjectively deny it. That doesn't make science subjective. It means that if one has no understanding of science, then it becomes subjective to that one person.
I had wondered and now you have proved he is a singer. Thanks, nice job.
@Codecutter yeah, he always says things like "you can check this for yourselves" so I thought it would be fun to turn it around on him.
Been a follower of Fil for years. He’s as honest as the day is long.
Fil IS The Real Deal !! I so prefer the Natural real voice over pitch corrected or auto tuned robots
My boy FIL is the real deal
Clearly honest singing.

Pointing out a truth isn’t “accusing”. And being a “fraud” implies he’d lie about using pitch correction, which obviously he wouldn’t 🤦♂️ my god
@@highnotesarecool yeah, clickbait title for sure, but nice to see he's for real

Fun, entertaining, informative. Don't change a thing!🙂

Maybe he doesn't use pitch correction, but I hear that the sound of his guitar is amplified by electric means.

guitar solo miming on the end note! nobody going to play like that running.
