- In this video I use oxalic acid to remove a black stain in a vintage dresser. I then refinish the entire piece.

"My - you are a handsome devil" Mr Dashner! It's funny how when imaging a face to fit the voice I always get it so very wrong, but in a good way I hope? Congrats on 100 episodes - looking forward to the next century. The TV cabinet looks good too, your treatment really brung out the grain, and I liked the gentle reverse bow front from the start. Great to have the original handles too.

Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.
C'mon, how dashing is Dashner?! Funny how one builds an image of how someone might look, and I'm always way off lol! Followed you right from the beginning. So wonderful to see your passion, knowledge, and work-ethic. Your videos are my comfort viewing, and somewhat of a motivator... Thanks & all the best for the future.

Their pace of work, care and attention to detail, editing skills and gorgeous soft voices have a wonderful soothing effect. They should be on prescription.

The final reveal was worth waiting for .... and of the dresser too. Congratulations on your 100th video, the relative peace and quiet apart from the sound of tools on wood and your calming voice doing the narration makes your videos a delight to watch.
I really like that you kept those 3 support pieces on the bottom to let the credenza "float" a little bit off the floor. The resulting shadow line really makes it look very intentional and a nice fit for the space. It's a great piece, per usual!
Yes, that small little line keeps it from looking heavy and boxy. Also there is a slight curve, I think to the whole thing, or it least it looks like it.
I am shocked that black stain pretty much came out. It's an lovely piece and looks great under the t.v. Love the ending too.👍👍

Congrats on your success and your 100th video! What an accomplishment! Your channel was the first furniture restoration channel I found on YT when you had only done a handful of videos. I love that you focus on MCM and take such care to bring them back to life. I grew up in Toronto with European parents, and our whole house was full of Scandinavian teak MCM furniture. I still have the dining set we had when I was a kid. It must be 50+ years old and could use some love. 😂 I look forward to your next 100 videos! Cheers! 🥂
Whoa! FINALLY! The (handsome) man behind scraper! Nice to see you. I restored a similar buffet/dresser, and I can't believe MORE people haven't discovered that these mid-century pieces are the perfect width and height for under an entertainment system. Sooo much better than those ubiquitous and gross particle board TV stands. Looks great!

Great to see you finally!! To this day I use a table every day that I restored using your techniques. It was a great little rescue, as was this project. 🎉
I bought this same bedroom suite with walnut veneer at Sears in 1968. The set was a double bed, chest of drawers, dresser that had 6 drawers, night stand, and a large mirror on the dresser. It survived 6 moves in 45 years. I finally set it out on the curb due to needing lots of repairs, broken legs, puppy chews, fading, and broken drawer slides. I hoped some one who loved mid-century modern furniture took it and restored it.

Dang! 100 videos! That's a lot, given your always impeccable structure, soothing and complete narration and of course your excellent audio-video quality. And me being a visual learner, I also appreciate seeing your face, which (oddly) helps cement your great information and advice in my brain. And as long as I'm commenting, I have also meant to tell you how I always admire your ability to "not get lost in fancy tools." You get such superb results from the most ordinary tools-it's a constant inspiration. Skill and knowledge is important, fancy tools and chemicals... not so much. Thanks, Man.
