I just received a short hair German pointer myself and he is super hyper at first but now he's going to obedience school and each week I could see an improvement on how he behaves. They need lots of patience, love and understanding. They are hunting dogs with lots of energy. I call him my coach because he makes me go for long walks and stay active, otherwise I probably would be a couch potato. I love my Bear, he's the best puppy ever!
I love you two because I can tell you guys have a lot of love to give and love your two dogs equally.

You life will never be boring with Walle. We got Va. Fox Hound, It's the very same way. Was going be boys hunting dog but Mommie turn it into house dog as a puppy & that never changed because he might get hurt or lost. Now wintertime he hunts up the heater inside the house & lay there.
Wally is one of its kind ..sometimes cute & funny too.....still adorable..... love u zazu....

My GSP Heidi also hates fireworks and wont move when she's tired! I lift her ear up to talk to her and she ignores me. Theyr'e a hilarious breed. Love Walle!
I thought my scout was just lazy, I will literally push him like 5 feet, flip him over to move and he just flops down. It seriously feels like he’s pushing down

Our Abby absolutely hated them too. Consequently, we hated them as well. We just could find nothing to comfort her. We even thought that taking her to Dairy Queen and buying her a cone would take her mind off them. No.
Love that german name for a german dog, Heidi... what else would you name her. Ours is called Hermann, a legendary man of Germany. He saved the Germans from the Roman oppression approx 1000something years ago. I thought that to be a very apt name for him. He saved me from boredom. hahahaha
At the very moment when I read "fireworks" in your comment, there was a thunderclap so loud that I flinched.
And just 15 minutes earlier I wanted to get down to buy some water when it started to rain heavily in that very moment.

Just picked up my new little shorthair puppy April. I now have two. Max and April. The most intelligent, loving dogs ever
That’s so funny my GSP loves fireworks. I think it’s because it reminds him of hunting for birds.
I am sure Walle wouldnt have been scared if he was trained to hunt 🙂

I miss the Planetarium in SF. Walle reminds me my rusty Doberman Noxter, 9 and Zazu’s coloring is the same as my mini dachshund, Big Duke, he was 17 years old last year sad of his passing. Enjoy your videos immensely.

We just one ourselves. Same color spots. 3 months old and he's all over the place. Hopefully he will become as loyal and playful as Walle.
They have a mind of their own. And so smart. We literally taught ours to take the leash of our Rottweiler and walk him. We got some hilarious looks going down the sidewalk and in the park. People would take pics

I have a GSP and Walle is such an apt name for them (GSP). He is a stunning dog, as is our Pepper. They are an intense breed and need a lot of work, but so friendly and loveable. Thanks for the videos! He is a star. :)

I can totally understand the fireworks. I like fireworks, but I've always hated fireCRACKERS, which have no neat colours and just make noise and smoke. I can only imagine how much more frightening it is for a dog like Walle with his sensitive ears.

This did remind me of one day when I threw a stick into the river for one of my GSP and a nearby swan decided to investigate and they both arrived at the stick at the same time. Needless to say the GSP kept his eyes on the prize and returned with the stick.

I have a rescued short haired German pointer that I rescued from the humane society earlier this year! He looks like walle but black and white! Love him to death and walle’s personality and character reminds me of my “Shoyu!” Love your doggies! Keep the videos coming!

I have a mixed breed dog that looks like a pit bull and I've been thinking that he's mixed with a German shorthair because he has the speckles in his white spots and he's that beautiful rich brown color with green eyes. After watching this video I'm convinced he is. He has so many of these same characteristics.

So relatable. The only thing my GSP doesn’t do yet (hopefully never) is hate fire works. Everything else was spot on
Haha! Glad you could relate... it is so amazing to see how similar GSPs are. Whenever I meet other GSP parents I always end up saying oh my god that is just how Walle is...like 10 times hehe
My GSP - LOVES the BOOM - will literally jump through an open window to get outside if there is a "Boom" - they are genetic gun dogs remember it doesn't take long to gun break them - and when the hear the boom they think there is a treat - I think it is genetic - Wally looked intrigued not scared - but he doesn't know why he is intrigued - he is a gun dog in his soul and a BEAUTIFUL one at that
haha I am sure Walle would be a great hunter, my husband and I talk about it often. But Walle is a happy kid we try our best to keep it that way :)

These are actually very brave dogs full with energy! I have some ! It really depends from their lifestyle! If you are teaching them to hunt, cause they are actually one of the smartest dogs i've ever seen, they will be really, really though dogs!
I am sure Walle would be a great hunter. We don't hunt but we try our best to keep him active throughout the day and he is a happy kid :)

My GSP tried to hide in the xtra small closet in my bedroom when ear cleaner comes out😂
Aww. My GSP loved it. acclimate him to ear cleaner solution. Treats, no clean. Then, massage and clean the ear "lobe" (very relaxing) before cleaning.

Somebody that does facebook should start a page where we can post pictures of our beautiful GSP's
We just adopted a puppy and were told she is a border collie mix. We could never figure out with what until the other day we saw a GSP in the dog park. After watching your videos I am convinced our little girl is GSP, she has a lot of the same mannerisms of Walle as well as markings and shape of head. Thank you for letting me know what I am in store for. I look forward to seeing more about your fur babies.
