- 18 years later, LEGO finally did a remake of the Shrieking Shack from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Despite the time difference, the sets designs at the core are very similar while also being majorly different.

I love the old version, and was lucky to get it at the time, but I definitely want the new one. FYI the box is meant to 'transform' Sirius into the dog. You put the dog in one side and then it 'swaps' with the minifigure.
I find the box fascinating, since LEGO doesn't make anything even remotely similar today.
The point of that brown shed is to put a minifigure in and an animal, then you can swap them
Great comparison video I'm definitely getting the newer set it looks so good 👍
hi jonny ❤
Man I remember wanting the Shrieking Shack back in 2004 because of the little box that would turn Lupin into a Werewolf, Sirius into a dog, and Peter into Scabbers; however, I actually had intentions of using the box to turn Anakin Skywalker into Darth Vader 😆😆😆
I love the original Lupin face
13:31 The fence also serves as a location for the trio's encounter with Draco.
Holly this was a great review! I loved how you balanced the positivity and criticisms well in this comparison video.
I'll be honest, I STILL think the old Harry faceprint was much better. The scar was more visible, the glasses weren't miniscule and I think the overall expression was just more "Harry". The new one, you take out the scar and it's just a random dude with glasses.
Everything else is of course an upgrade in 2022. ALTHOUGH...I would have liked to get the Honey Dukes entrance too. But I understand why they didn't include it.
Great comparison video. I missed the original Shrieking Shack set in 2004 but will be getting the 2022 set.
Great video, Holly! Werewolf LupinI's head, is like the Phase 1 Clone. Where LEGO got it perfect and then made it worse. If you can (with out going broke), you should do more comparisons. I really like you robe. Where did you get it?
that old transportation house thing is for transformation , as you can put the dog (from the old set) in the other space when you swap with Sirius Black
Might be my nostalgia glasses fogging up my vision again, but I still like the older set better!😎
I like the old version better
Since its release in 2004
have been in possession for 18 years
Try the new Obi Wan Mullet on Peter Pettigrew
Just gave the third film a rewatch, I can’t believe it’s 19 years old this year… probably my favorite film in the movie series, besides the second one, and one of my favorite books in the actual series as well.
10:55 they're the same size. One is just standing up.
I got the first one when it came out. I wasn’t prepared to get told it was 18 years ago 😪
Great video
Both sets having three repeating numbers for the brick count is a nice touch.
Love the video, great comparison! Love how you acknowledge is something is better in the old one. I still prefer the old one, perhaps because I don’t have the new one, and I grew up playing with the 2000s LEGO Harry Potter sets. But I have to admit the minifigures are better in the new one, especially Lupin. I also love the idea of building the full moon.
Just looking at the original figures I need to play the Lego game.
Omg the new everything looks so much better!
The 2004 version which I still have also kind of reminds me of that climatic house scene from "The Blair Witch Project".
I prefer the older version, the older version felt less polished like it should be and the addition of honey dukes wins it for me.
I love your robe! I have a hufflepuff one and my sister has a ravenclaw!
Get this to the top bois
I think lego just lost the interest in making play-sets. There is a big gap between normal lego themes and licensed lego themes. I really miss that but I also have the feeling that the newer ninjago sets, as an example, don't really have many play-features :/
The old wormtail rat looks like a bird
Honestly I was excited for this set from the pics but when reviews came around I just liked it less
0:40/26:27 Peter is legit a werewolf
Good videoooo👍👍☺️
I have both of them.
That og set is the freakin rule of fours
Hi Holly your audio sounds very thin when you’re talking to camera. I suggest you add a clip-on mic to your duty-free shopping list. Enjoy your travels to the US.
I prefer the old one, and I wasn't around when ot came out
