The MOAB is a reference to the largest non-nuclear bomb in the US arsenal for whatever reason, also called the MOAB but meaning Mother Of All Bombs, it’s so big our conventional bombers can’t drop it, they literally push it out the back of a C130 or a C17

The Vengeful Sun God was in BTD5 as well in the form of an ability unlocked when a maxed Super Monkey Lair is obtained. Also agents in BTD5 DID have a leveling system, but it was only one level-up and it was permanent.
Exactly what I was thinking. Btd5 adds much more stuff than people think

@@majordiet2299 There are multiple versions of BTD5, so it gets confusing. The original Flash, Deluxe, and Steam versions all add different things.
Fun fact: the Ninja Kiwi developers behind Battles 2 had to resprite and recode everything BTD6 had to their own accesible engine.

I think part of the reason why NK updates old games so much is because they know fans of the old games preferred them quite a bit. A lot of companies will basically say "tough love" and force you into the new game, but as someone who spent a ton of time into BTD4 and didn't particularly enjoy BTD5 when it came out I really enjoyed this (original game offered only ninja monkey and a weird upgrade system over 4). Glad to see a company try their hardest to keep their fans happy
Ninja Kiwi is still an indie game dev no matter what
Its pretty interesting seeing the new bloon types introduced throughout the series. The original lead balloon was added when the go to strat for 1 was to spam dart monkeys. Ceramics and MOABs introduce a barrier to pure piece towers, requiring to go into some things with more damage. We then see purples a lot later on to present a hazard to some of the more powerful magic and fire towers, now creating an incentive for a good mix of sharp and explosive/fire.

while BTD2 makes a point of saying "you can't beat this game with only dart monkeys"
BTD5 and onward can be beaten with only dart monkeys, thanks to the existence of Juggernaut
Hated the fact that an wntire screen of Magic towers can't even damage shitty weak bloons, the games have turned into conplete failures.
@SoukaTempest i mean if every tower could pop every balloon type through the whole game there wouldnt be much challenge. Its an obstacle same as lead or camo you need to account for
@@Rurike those are incredibly easy to deal with and can be dealt with any number of towers and with the Village can be dealt with every Tower and its very fun and easy.

BTD4 is the first BTD game I ever played and it's still my favorite BTD game till this day. I just have so much fun with it back when I was a kid.

Bloons has made multiple generations love this genre just by their games, I love how much It has evolved, I was just 5 when I played td4 now I’m 13 and the series is still going, I will always have nostalgia of these games in the future and cherish it forever

would absolutely love unlocking heroes through special missions like how you unlock the heli pilot or engineer

They said in a q&a that they wanted to make a new BMC but since BTD battles 2 it is probably going to take like 2 years for it to come out

Bloons is still nostalgic to me. I love coming back to the classic bloons games (mainly bloons TD4). I'm probably so nostalgic either because how simple it is,the mass of tower defense back then,or the fact using super monkey is fun.Thanks for going over the series.

BMC is the one that keeps me hooked for months. Building a city is a concept that I really enjoy.
I'm still looking forward for BMC2, even knowing that that project is not on top of Ninja Kiwi's priorities.

I believe that Jack is the person who priortises staying on the island over getting off the island while Ralph believes they should get off the island immediately. This realtionship between both of them really shows their personalities. I believe Ralph is a pretty good leader but jack is also a W

You missed a game where you play as Super Monkey! It would follow your cursor around and you had to pop bloons, you could buy loads of upgrades
Crazy to think I started with the original bloons. I was addicted to flash games on my dads windows xp laptop when I was younger. I played literally all of the tower defense games shown in this video

Hot air bloon : hold your mouse button to go up you also pop Bloons to get points also it's cool this got referenced in Bloons Monkey City
Bloons super monkey 1, 2, 3/Bsm2 Mobile, you just move your cursor to pop Bloons and get upgrades to pop more bloons
For some reason they didn't call Bsm2 Mobile Bloons super monkey 3? Have no idea why
BTD4 is basically what skyrocketed the bloons series to popularity, and unlike some other older games like angry birds or plants vs zombies, it was continuously innovative and the quality of each new game became better and better rather than either becoming cheap heavily inspired knockoffs or obvious money grabs

I have played all the numbered ones except 6, I have 4 and 5 on my old ipad and I remember playing 1-3 at school, even my grade 2 teacher loved BTD 3

Remember the old BFB design or the poster where it was reference to Jaws? Yes old BFB os terrifying AF while Moab the now "classic" as described in BTD6.
But hey i found the MOAB carrying Ceramics on top to be kind of cute, but thats different story in game
