Top Boxer Velcro vs Winning Laceups and I had the exact opposite experience as you. Part of the problem I think is the hard bag. I didn't use Win1s on hard bags until later. They hurt, but after a month, they were fine. I got them popping just fine too. But Aliens are definitely better for hard bags.
I liked these gloves, my wife loved them, but I think for the price the quality could be better. And what I mean by that is that we used the gloves for maybe 8 months or so hard-core before the padding started creating bubbles around the knuckle area (padding started to wear down). Doesn't effect the performance of the glove, but for the price, I expected them to last longer, especially since my wife was the one using them and she wasn't putting a beating on them. Personally me, my Torres Medina gloves quickly became my favorite gloves. So much so, that I'm waiting on my 2nd pair.
You don’t like them on the bags because they don’t make the pop noise? Don’t you rather gloves to be protective on the hands rather than popping? Genuine wondering as I’m considering buying this just for the bag
It's worth considering, the Win1 are not great bag gloves. I would recommend the Mexican style gloves that Top Boxer offers instead. Those are fantastic bag gloves and offer plenty of protection. The win1 are nice for sparring but with bags there is soft and there's too soft and win1 are too soft.
Win1 is very good for sparring, but honestly doesn't have good enough protection for hitting hard on heavy bags. If you have to chose between a 16oz Alien and Win1, I would buy the Alien. They will most likely last longer. And if you manage to pull your punches, it's not a big problem if they're a bit stiffer.
I have a pair of 20oz Alien 1's and they are amazing bag gloves for the price. They have a little denser foam that's very protective, but it has a really good pop. For the price they are really hard to beat.
So what I've noticed is when I made this video I took the gloves out only less than 24hrs before I made it. The gloves where vacuum sealed so I have since used them in the gym and I think they make some really nice sparring gloves. You can feel through only if you really punch over 80 percent.
@@monothemonkey depends on how hard you actually hit. I'm almost 400lbs and I hit pretty hard. Obviously it's not ideal to be my size and I realize smaller more fit people can hit harder I'm sure but use your best judgment. It's a good glove for the price.
