I got a pair of 16oz velcro last week and the quality is wonderful. The price is absolutely a bargain. The amount of padding and wrist support is just incredible. I can really lay into the bag and not worry about hurting my wrist. I just placed an order for the Win1 model.
which ones are better, Win 1 or Aliens?
@@thescotts1326 If you have any issues regarding your hands, pain, discomfort during impact I would say go with the Win1's. They have more cushion and protection across the impact surface of the glove. The Aliens feel better if you like that crack against the heavy bag. If you really like getting that feedback from the bag when you hit it I prefer the Aliens. I found myself gravitating to the Aliens more when my hands are feeling great. But I definitely unleash more when I wear the Win1's knowing my hands are protected more.
Great review yet again. I saw you post about doing a review of these gloves on your Instagram story and was looking forward to what you think about them. Last fall, I bought a pair of these Alien in the beautiful maroon color in 12 ounces for something a little smaller and lighter than most of my other gloves on the bags, pads, and mitts. I love the sound and feel of these, great feedback and protection for me. I agree with a lot of the things you have said about them here, especially the thumbs feeling like they’re out a bit and not as straight as others, but they’re definitely not out as far as the latex Cleto Reyes training gloves I also own. The left thumb on my pair is a bit more than the right with this. The stitching on mine isn’t perfect, but this is better overall than a lot of the gloves I’ve used over the years.
I hope the 12oz is very compact? Does the verclo in 12oz shorter as the 16oz? I am a small guy with very small hands and wirsts.
These gloves in 12 ounce size are definitely compact. I’m 6 feet tall and have average size hands for my height and build and with handwraps on, they’re snug on my hands and don’t feel cramped to me. As far as the velcro strap length for the 12 ounce vs 16 ounce, I’m not sure, but it could be. I hear that Top Boxer has pretty good email responses to questions about their gloves and they might be able to give a more clear answer to that particular question for you.

Thank you for doing this i was asking you for something like this in your other vids. The tight thumb and finger rubbing thing I also experienced that but I think if you just break them in it gets nicer. Once you get many rounds in the bag, I feel like it shapes my hand like a sock kinda feel.

I don't know if mine have a bad batch of latex, but the latex fill on the outer layer of foam in this exact model of gloves is harder than any of my Mexican gloves. The smooth leather, combined with the hard fill means i'll slip right off the bag if I'm not careful with my punches. Almost can't even imagine sparring in these, unless I want to hurt someone. I love the fit, wrist support, & protectiveness of the glove, but I wonder if I got a bad pair or maybe mine melted in transit?
Can you do a review on the Fairtex Bgv18 It’s always sold out and I want to see if I should buy it I’ve only heard good reviews but my pockets are tight

Yes, and if you are truly concerned they go up in 2oz increments all the way up to 22 oz

Re the custom top boxers I haven’t rated them as it has been a good few years since I had them and I don’t think it would be fair to rate them as improvements could have been made in those years
How do these compare with phenoms SG-210? They look quite similar
I have both sg210 16oz and Topboxer alien 22oz and omg the shape of the thumb and fist in the Topboxer alien is so so much more comfortable.
It feels like a real fist whereas the thumb of the phenom is straight where's as the aliens is similar to grants where the thumb is curved.
It makes a hell of a difference

Does Rival V strap Wrist Lock 2 system get in the way of punches, at my gym we do pads taking turns but we use the gloves as pads?

I've owned many many pairs of gloves and the Alien gloves not only stood the test of time but they have become one of my favorite gloves for $110 you can do MUCH MUCH worse!

I think the guy in the grey should only be allowed for body sparring. He's outmatched.
That's just a demonstration of the gloves being used. The sparring doesn't need rating or analysing, that's not why we're here 👍🏻

All footage on the channel is to show bits of the testing process of the equipment
This is an amateur boxing club they are all learning there trade they are not professional boxers
They have a thumb and finger fault. Not to be expected with topboxer. These are mass produced so there's less attention to quality
