- Marc Victor from Attorneys on Retainer has made it his mission to divide our community using outdated, reserved, and "reasonable" approach to second amendment activism. Simply put, the 2A community is no longer reasonable, we are done compromising. TAKE US BACK TO 1791!
His most recent effort has been to use his influence to smear those who dissent from his fictitious world view and how it should apply to our rights.

What options do I have in NY?
Honestly all this crap is getting old! Everyone that carries and God forbid would have to use it in any way, just wants good help with the whole legal system and to stay out of jail! I haven’t heard anyone say that have not been supported like they expected from AOR like other companies that use insurance.

Man, this sounds like some high school drama. Honestly if I signed up for AOR, it wouldn’t be for them to advocate for or lobby for 2A legislation . I support GOA for that. If I got AOR coverage it’s for only one reason. To fight a court case on my behalf, if I act in self defense. That’s it. Thus far, in my research, AOR is the only organization that said they would defend me as long as I made a good faith statement that I acted in self defense, regardless of if I broke any laws. For example, if I was carrying in an unconstitutional ‘gun free zone’ and had to defend myself, AOR definitely said that would be covered. Every other organization I spoke with said that they would not defend me in that scenario, because I violated the law. So I agree, I don’t like all the skeletons in that guy’s closet; however, their coverage (which is all I need from them) appears to be the best at this point.

i get both sides perspective, and im not willing to drop aor based on his stances. at the end of the day, im not seeing marc being anti-second amendment. he is from a few generations before us, and may not be an absolutist like we are, awell, not gonna treat him like the enemy. being in arizona his firm is a great firm with great staff that are true professionals at representing and defending individuals. i have a family law attourney thats as far left democrat as they come but hes a super good dude and very good at what he does, id never say hey im done doing business with you because you voted blue. and he would never tell me he wont work for me because im far right. at the end of the day, aor 100% promotes the right to self defense and thats why we pay to retain them. we dont pay them for their stance on whats "reasonable". would i prefer marc to be as hard core absolutist like us, sure! but hes an individual and honestly hes still extremely pro gun and self defense. they are not insurance, they are a feduciary to us. they are good at what they do. even mr. marcantel, all those guys there. yah money makes the world go round. but aor legally fight tooth and nail for us because they beleive in the right to defend life wholeheartedly, period. its not all about the money. i also love your channel, and will always tune in! your passionate, and dont conduct your media just for money, you whole heartedly live and breath the 2nd amendment. thats why i follow you. life is hard to balance and theres not one human being on this earth that can make everyone happy at the same time. it just cant happen. aor earns their pay at the end of the day. excellent law firm

All lawyers have their personal opinions/views. If you are on trial fighting a murder case I am sure the lawyer you hired will not agree with your actions knowing you are guilty. Just look at what they did in Connecticut.. they are representing their clients pro bono.. they refunded every single member their money due to the state "position" on their services.

I'm reminded of a recent video I saw of a kid protecting himself and his girlfriend to the best of his ability in his bedroom during an armed robbery. He had about as little technical proficiency as I have ever seen anyone have in handling a firearm, but he absolutely had both the right and the need to own a firearm to defend himself and his significant other to the best of his limited ability. As someone who has also had their life threatened, when someone threatens to take your life there isn't always time to do the training you should have done sooner, and the government has no business denying your right to defend yourself with a firearm simply because you have not had a training course. I will never give Marc Victor a dime (granted I was never going to just because of his creepy position on age of consent).
This was a tour de force of things you certainly shouldn’t be saying in our industry. That first segment discussing “ages” was crazy. Does he not know the vast majority of us are absolutists on that topic as well?

Again, you haven't really provided any more evidence than last time that he's actually a gun controller. At least you sort of acknowledged his endorsement of the Republican this time. While you generally exaggerate the Live and Let Live statements, and property owners, "Public-facing" or not, being able to decide what's allowed on their property is simply the correct position, I'll admit some leave too much room for restrictions. That said, even those are much more open than the current laws and he hasn't advocated for any actual gun control laws. This generally feels like you're going really hard on a person that's 5% short of your position when we haven't gotten anywhere close to achieving the 95% you agree on.
I can understand Mark stance on the subject. Being a competent adult 17 18, 19 20. That’s fine as long as you’re competent you know how to use your firearm and when to use your firearm. But there are people out there with metal health challenges that you do not want to have a firearm.

I used to have CCW Safe, but I went to AOR after seeing Paul’s video on his UA-cam channel, Legally Armed America. I might not agree with everything Marc or Andy have said, but I still believe their program is best for me. I want to be covered by an organization that is not tied to some legal BS that an insurance company must obey. All this back-and-forth is only bringing soap opera drama to UA-cam; it isn't serving the 2A community one bit or someone who is looking for reliable coverage.
I think AOR is a better program but I can't stand Marc. He was a jerk to Crump trying to interview him, I would never trust him as my lawyer.

@mittenstatemedia Reasonable nessus is an important concept in a court. How it's explained to a jury and how it is understood is vital to the potential outcome of a case.
In the courts, yes. In politics, no. That’s the reason “reasonable gun control” laws are more prominent now than ever before and so many people support them. I mean, who wouldn’t want “common sense” gun laws. Words matter and because of that, they are twisted. If you look through the bs, even “anti-gunners” aren’t against guns…. They are against us having guns.
There is only one gun control law i agree with (just one) background checks because if you are a violent person you don't need a way to own any type of weapons

Sadly in the end it seems the best option for any of us is to simply start a pool of legal funds amongst ourselves, friends, and family, should an attorney ever be necessary. I understand for some of us this simply isn’t possible and there is always the question of trust. Just remember that despite our differences we are stronger together.

He accepts lowering consent for sex, but thinks firearms are a danger if left loaded and accessible to children.
Consent should be put up to 20. Alcohol lowered to 20 except beer 6 percent or lower should be 18.
If you think it’s ok to leave loaded firearms unattended with your kids you are a bad parent it’s not even a debate.

So I had USCCA and I let him go after the whole situation last year in the beginning of 2024 and then I ended up getting Attorneys On Retainer and now I’m hearing stuff about AOR what is your opinion CCW safe? I’m not sure I just want somebody to protect me in case something happens.
I currently exploring ccw safe. I am in the preliminary phase. This is not an endorsement
