Martis and Leomord, these 2 heroes are hidden gems now. They are good because of their recent buff. I will not be surprise if they have their debut in M4

Both Martis and Leomord, 2 of the most _ACTUAL_ balanced heroes finally getting the recognition they both deserve and funnily their both slightly similar in their own ways. They both can jungle very well. They have strong reap abilities to easily clean up teamfights. And they both can somewhat handle on their own even without their team (throughout early-midgame)
Leo's current ult voicelines are nice but adding the old one to it would be better,he used to whistle but I'm not talking about that one,they changed it to "Barbiel,lend me your speed!" before he got revamped
but sadly old voice lines won't fit his new lore. before, he wanted to die, but he cant because he was resurrected and forced to fight without his will. Now he is just an undead knight who is willing to fight for his homeland with second thoughts.

When using tanky yet high damage fighters like leomord, I always build bloodlust axe for him to maximize his damage and teamfight capabilities, whatever the role. I just hate the feeling of being useless after casting leo's ult then just backing out because I have no hp left. He can easily regain his lost hp without a sweat, especially if you pair bloodlust axe with oracle. And, am I the only one who missed the old leomord's undead-like raspy voice? I really love how intimidating his old voicelines are.
Leomord is pretty op right now however watch out for enemies with burst damage and low cooldown like paquito and gusion since they can burst you before you could get on your horse
I used to play leo but now i haven't use this horsemen since roger jungler rised into the meta almost 2 years ago. That moment made me slightly forget leomord. Seeing him getting buffed like crazy makes me feel so happy.
Small Leomord tip Leomord Mounted state first skill can be cast instantly when infront of an obstacle. This can help you chase enemies that are escaping or going out of your skill range. Leomord passive does not critical on tower but it can deal critical damage on heroes that are close to a low HP tower. This works when Leomord is on a Mounted State with his circular basic attack and when enemy heroes are hiding behind a low HP tower.
Also, there seems to be a bug(?) where, when casting first skill and then entering mounted state mid-cast, the skill is forced to charge to full duration. Sometimes this can lead to enemies successfully escaping as Leo won't be able to do any other action while this is going on. The fix to this is by canceling the first skill right before barbiel reaches leo. This way, there is no "hiccup" in Leo's movement and so is free to move smoothly.
Fun fact: even if you equip golden staff on leomord, his passive will still trigger when enemies go 50% hp, giving him both the benefit of golden staff and critical strikes without downsides (unless above 50% hp enemy). Leomord is the only hero where combining golden staff and berserkers fury is actually viable due to his passive, using demon hunter sword also fixes the issue of not getting that combo activated when enemies have above 50% hp. Though using this will make him very squishy, it's kind of fun to use really.
@@astro5935 maybe it's intentional. It would be pretty strange for an equipment passive to take priority over a hero passive, especially is leomords case where it would completely shut his usefulness down
So uhm... ah i tried it... it wasn't really helpfull.. basically when the enemy reaches 50% hp leomord just one shots them.. but hey it helps clear out the buffs faster in the early game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Martin ist stronger in the early to mid game, Leo is stronger after mid game. But I know Martis destroys Leo 1 vs 1 I think Leomord deserve the buff's, he was for nearly 2 years dead. Now he is seen more in games. But his weakness no 1: CC and burst damage
@@yof2210 his base dmg is really low. And his atk growth isn't high. The only thing going for him now is his jungling speed which is the reason he's kinda op right now, side leo is just the same as he was before the buffs. This buff only made his jungling stronger.

Played him before and after and i think he might get banned very soon, his only weakness is chain cc but he have it all, mobility, stuns, damage, he falls a lil in late game but still deadly for mages and mm

I think the best matchup for his frontline playstyle is to give him another frontline with a huge crowd control on his face like Hylos. Plus the recent changes on Hylos seems like a good matchup because of the decreased attack speed and higher dps because of the stacks. Though when I play Leomord in the jungle I prefer him with a jungle emblem for him to reach that level spike faster for his late game prowess.
Used to still play him despite the 35% crit condition but then stopped because he always get bullied at the exp lane by those new heroes. I just played him now and got the MVP and Victory. Our mino did a great job timing his ult against enemy tigreal and got me a maniac. Wiped them out and finish destroying enemy's nexus. Damn I miss this Hell Knight a lot.

And dominated the whole game with him (low mythic) I accually see him getting banned now in drafts. Leo I haven’t tried and never liked him either but after this I have to give him a try aswell!
I agree he got high damage with that passive buff, even in exp lane, I can go 1on1 on every opponent on the lane as long as I have my BOD My build is: -Tough/warrior boots -BOD -Bloodlust Axe The Following build is all defensive and really depends on the enemy composition Athena’s Shield/Radiant Armor Dominance Ice/Antique Cuirass/Bruteforce/Blade Armor Immortality
even if hes squishy at late game, hes still a really really good hero to speedblitz the enemy backlines with his movement speed and cc compared to assassin heroes
Even without the buff in the current season, the Leo/Angela tandem already giving me a hard time in rank when facing them. And that buff kinda broken too if u ask me. Leomord roaming tank could be a thing aftr the update.
I dont really core Leo because im almost always alone so I purify since alot of things could kill him late game through stuns, also try the DHS with Golden Staff strat since he can still apparently crit with Golden Staff, run like DHS, GS, Hunter Strike and Corrosion Scythe
I usually build leo with bruteforce breast plate for the mixed defense and its also good for the movement speed buff. together with hunter strike, war axe and brute force, he can easily chase anyone.
Leomord users is this a bug 4:47? Leo looks like he got a stroke when doing that combo. I've encountered this, it sometimes freezes the controls and I need to release my fingers first to make it work again. How do you prevent this?
As main leormord, I use combo of ss, 1st then 2nd skill. When I do the ur combo which is ss, 2nd then 1st the movement when mounting leo on barbiel can't move for 0.5 second which is not good for chasing enemy.
Try martis full physical damage, He is overpowered because of his buffs, like second skill damage reduction, that you dont need defence items, and his passive that give 150+ physical damage, and also his ultimate damage gets higher when more physical damage is applied, it also works on true damage.

Last time I played Leomord I build the Scarlet Phantom which is a good choice since it can increase his crit and att speed while riding his horse.
Wind talker is better since it can increase movement speed for chase and has better attack speed.

You can build berserker with haa claws with Leomord. Crit hits heals a lot and he can guaranteed to crit with his passive

Eh, Leomord thankfully got a recurring problem of his solved, some matches depending on how you were doing were a 50-50 between doing good or bad.
