High & Muddy Rappahannock Snakehead & Bassfishing with DB

The river was High and muddy with lots of floating debris, which made for a challenging day on the river. A challenge Daren Brown and I were up for! Looking to catch snakeheads, That quickly changed. We made the adjustments and figure out a couple of patterns for bass, despite the terrible river conditions.

I was fishing for bass on the Rapp a few days ago at Old Mill Park in Fredericksburg and hung into what I thought was a big bass but it turned out to be a Snakehead instead. The very first one I've ever caught.i gave it to an elderly gentleman and his wife to eat. I really hate that this invasive species has made home in American waterways and rivers. Yeah it’s a hard thing. They shouldn’t be there, but they also don’t seem to be hurting anything. As long as people keep bow fishing them, they should stay in check. Thanks for watching and it’s comments like these that will push me to start making videos again

The one just north of hicks landing on the left. There's only water in it on high tide and high water. Like we had that day
