You inspired me to get a 2024 Si, I got exactly one month ago and have put 3700 miles on it since then. I love it so much and I don’t think it would’ve been possible to get a better car for me. Thank you for your videos, they really pushed me in the right direction.
The Honda dealership where I live in Canada just got in there only 2024 Type R that they got allocated. The salesman was suprised as I was that they even got one allocated to them when I called a few months ago and I put my name on it. so excited and lucky to get to own and drive one!
Just got my FL5 Type R in Rallye Red today, that moment when I finally sat in that car felt so unreal. Can't wait to give it a little test drive tomorrow. And honestly, I gotta thank you too, Topher, cause you helped my decision so much on getting a type R. Its also the first car I actually own, so it is even more special to me than it already is🥰 Keep it going my dude, your content is incredible and super down to earth, which I love most about it!
Just bought my type r last week. Dealer had 2 of them. Blue and a grey. Blue sold a few days before I got mine. Absolutely loving the car. Amazing purchase.
Growing up and living in SW PA is such a treat as a driver. Winding up and around the Appalachian foothills has always been one of my favorite things to do. I didnt know how good i had it until i did some traveling.
If you’re able to, hit-up the Four Roses distillery and grab anything of theirs that isn’t readily-available elsewhere. Great distillery, and a great glass to go with your favorite cigar or snack.
Just install module and first impressions are really good! Short drive only but car is much more compliant and cornering is magical. Thank again for the tip and review!!
Miss my fk8. Favorite memory was hitting the B-roads and running into a couple of 718s that I ended up carving with. Towards the end we ran into an RSQ8 that was absolutely sending it in the rain. What a great time.
@@theredsalmon612 the type r? Sold it when I bought a house to help pay for repairs and upgrades. The rsq8? Don’t know he didn’t stop at the restaurant just kept driving hard. lol
Just got home from picking up my 2024 Type R. Coming from a JCW Mini, this is quite a step up! Note: I’m way WAY out of the target demographic for this little rocket - “Who’s that old eff in the black R?”😂 (And yes, I ate some markup, but not bad. The law of supply and demand is still operative, at least in SoCal). Big big TY Topher; videos from people who really know how to drive are so helpful.
@@boots_n_coots Yes you are. Nobody buys a Type-R and doesn't street race it. Just pick your targets, some of these other cars will eat you up on the street and then you'll feel lame.
Yea I got smoked by a 5.0 in mine I wasn't surprised tho but in curves it kept up with the same car and srt392 ,BMW M6 and Lexus LCF sport mind you my car is still bone stock 6k mi 😊😊😊 btw in medium traffic none could keep up on the hwy if your a good driver you can just throw it threw dips the other cars are too big or would lose control if they tried the same thing
The dirty windshield isn't helping at all. Not to mention the glare from the winter sun angle. A cloudy day would be better. Love the scenery and the exhaust note :)
Can you elaborate on how the ITS damper module impacts the exhaust valve? Is it always open in the +R engine sound setting and always closed in the comfort sound setting and no longer throttle dependent? If so, that would push me over the edge to buying the module
I’m still waiting for my ITS to arrive and the thing that still makes me nervous is that it will be my first manual. Looking at all your FL5 videos, it makes me feel that having a FL5/ITS as a daily should be doable. Right?
Dailying a manual is what everyone did before the mid 90s. It's not an issue at all with a few months' experience, but there's a decent learning curve. A lot of people pick automatics because there's a bit less to worry about. I understand why people prefer automatics but if you LOVE driving like me, you will love and prefer manuals.

the appalachians have some pretty slept on driving roads

Just don't go race something like a 10 speed 5.0 or Audi RS3, you'll get totally dusted. Or a new MK8 Golf R.

Hey Topher, I was wondering about the differences in gearbox and steering between ITS and CTR? since you've driven both
🤷♂️ they’re both great, it’s splitting hairs between the two tbh. Can’t tell if it’s the different shift knobs or actual differences in feel
quick question, does the civic si have rear ac vents?
No, it does not.
Makes me miss living in Kentucky.
More FL5 content pls!
I'm considering purchasing a lightly used one in my area that has about 5k miles on it for a great price. What are your thoughts?
Do it!

It’s the same setup as the Integra type s, front resonator delete 👍

It said Bardstown Rd near Louisville
