  • I'm trying something new this year, and growing some of my pepper plants in a tower! Peppers always grow best for me in pots, so this year I'm comparing my peppers grown in regular pots to my peppers grown in this vertical planter. Come hang out with me and see what peppers (and basil!) I'm planting this year!

It’s interesting to see the results
And I agree, growing peppers in containers works best for me, too

I’m starting a few new pepper plants and never thought of planting them in my GreenStalk! Great idea!

This is a first for me too - I’m excited to see how they do in the greenstalk this year!

I grew peppers in the greenstalk last year and they did well for me. I grew lunchbox peppers, Anaheim, and tepin. Maybe a few more that i cant remember. I did a greenstalk in all peppers this year but am trying some new varieties like hot n heavy, lipstick, violet sparkle, jalapenos, candy cane bells and shishitos. I planted most of varieties also in pots or raised beds as well to compare.

I’m so glad to hear that peppers did well in the greenstalk for you! I hope your new varieties do well this year, also.

Ajvarski peppers get quite large when planted in good soil. I assume the greenstalk will stunt their growth a bit, but it's generally a larger plant with larger peppers than Poblano. Think of it like a cross between Anaheim and bell varieties.

Sounds like I may have chosen the wrong pepper to put in the greenstalk…I do have another Ajvarski in a pot by itself, so I’ll compare how they do against each other as the season goes on!

I love how much I can grow in them in such a small space! Now I just have to see how the peppers grow over the season!

I am also excited to follow how your peppers do in a greenstalk planter. This is my first year with using greenstalks and I started with green beans, collard greens, and flowers.

I’m not having any luck with my Greenstalks 😢 I’m interested to learn how your plants grow! I’ve been trying for four years and I hardly get any growth from my plants.

That’s so frustrating! I hope you’re able to figure it out and get some successful harvests from your greenstalk!

I recently purchased a GreenStalk. Hopefully, it will work for my garden next spring.
Just curious, what are your challenges? What do you wish that you had done differently?
