I have Greenstalk planters, but I have yet to try peppers in one. Have you had to stake up any of your pepper plants? I had an unexpected success this year with cherry tomatoes in two bottom pockets, but they did get very bushy and required wooden stakes plus those exterior supports which Greenstalk sells.

I have staked some of the peppers growing in other pots, but I have not staked any of the plants in my greenstalk. There are a few that probably should be staked, but I just haven’t gotten to it yet. I did try to grow smaller varieties in the greenstalk, so that helps somewhat. Next year I’ll try to stake some earlier in the season though!

I just purchased a GreenStalk for next spring. I plan to use it to home pepper plants that I will grow from seed.
Thank you for sharing this video. I was trying to decide how many pepper plants to grow in the GreenStalk. I wanted to make sure that I give them enough root space. I also like to grow basil with my peppers and tomatoes.
Will you overwinter your peppers in the GreenStalk?

So far I’ve been really happy with it for peppers! I don’t plan to overwinter my greenstalk peppers. Last year I tried to overwinter a couple peppers in my garage, but they didn’t make it. I may try a couple peppers in regular pots again this year and see if they do better!
