As an iPhone user, I find this design a nice idea (even if I wouldn’t choose it even if it were made by Apple). I can see why some people would buy it (retro style, ergonomics) and I’m glad Samsung is differentiating from Apple’s offer with these retro-inspired innovations. Kudos to Samsung!
Honestly instead of worrying about the crease in the screen they could just make it two separate screens. It would function nearly the same with only a small (yet what looks more intentional) divide in the center. I don’t believe separating the two halves this way would get in the way of using it regularly. And I’m sure it would cut down on the cost of having to replace the screen when mistakes are made. It’s still a very nice phone. I’ve been wanting one since the first designs were brought out.

hot tip! if you get this phone, you can get significantly more use out of the cover screen by downloading Coverscreen OS from the play store! i did this because i was searching around for a way to play youtube videos on the small screen during class with the brightness all the way down, so i could occasionally glance at it to see what was happening. it works like a charm! there's some funkiness with getting youtube to be full screen video playback though. because of the change in aspect ratio, youtube will sometimes make the video very tiny, or just take up the full screen with the description or comments. to fix this, basically you have to have it open on your normal screen, pause the video, minimize it (like go to your youtube home feed so it's in the small bar on the bottom), then close the phone, turn on the cover screen, open youtube, and then tap on the little video in the corner to make it take up the full screen. this can also be done with literally any application, you can play minecraft or pokemon unite on your little cover screen. I'm not sure why you would want to, but it works great. I've played a game of pokemon unite on my cover screen and it works flawlessly. also retroarch GBA games work on there too. maybe advise a stylus or something if you're going to do that lol. but coversceeen os is great for checking your calendar, emails, browsing your whole inbox instead of just your notifications, etc.

I own the Z Fold 3, and my roommate has a Z Flip 3. The difference is absolutely not enough to upgrade. But if you don't already own either of them, it's a good time to buy a foldable.

looks super cool! i have the zflip 3 and was disappointed when i saw the zflip 4 was very similar but getting a better look at it showed me some of the differences it does have. i certainly will continue to buy this type of phone after this one goes since i truly love the style 🥰

Though another thing I will say about samsung foldables is that the main screen kinda gets more protection, since its closed whenever not in use.
My zflip 3 had the screen delaminate after 5 months and then I went back to the store to fix it and the display they had also had the screen delaminated and the worker helping me had the same issue. This phone is still like 4-5 years away from being problem free in my opinion. Also making the 4th have more widgets than the 3 is ridiculous. That's a software thing not hardware.

The flip actually has a lot of cases and accessories for it! Even a case with a small strap, try look up some of the videos. They look really cool!
