i am 60 years old now, been a fan since 1975, i got many many regrets, like most my age, and the times have long passsed me by,one thing i can be proud of tho, is ,i turned alot of people on to this guy, i can smile about that forever....
I'm 58 and I can remember the first time I heard Sam Stone and had to know who this guy was. And since then the journey of him and his music and his colleagues has led me to people such as Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Goodman, Guthrie, Blaze, and so many others. I slipped into southern rock and discovered Folk bluegrass the blues and so much more. Great storytellers and great writers. It become more about the song then just the music. From New York to Chicago from Tennessee to Texas. And I learn something everyday. The band, Dylan and a host of so many other heavily and heavenly influenced me in my music
After his fight with throat cancer, he is still just as good if not better - I absolutely love listening to John Prine and love the lyrics to his songs and melodies. He just knows how to give you the chills. And I have met him on a few occasions and what a humble person. He's the real deal. Down to earth and kind as they come. Thanks to whoever posted this. See him in May and cannot wait!
Oh my goodness, I'm so glad I was at this performance. It was my favorite of the whole festival. I worshipped John and still do. There will never be another John Prine. My heart still aches for our loss.
0:00 John Prine, OCMS, and my favorite song. This is greatness! 7:00 Ketch gettin into some harmonica madness! 7:32 Ahhh Baby! Ketch is me the rest of the song. Nerdy dancing out of shear joy!! Beautiful sight to see. 7:38 John Prine puttin 'er in another gear. John Prine, you're made of magic sir. Rest easy in heaven.
john prine's greatness is beyond words!!!! this is incredible!!! good luck to john on his operable lung cancer operation this month!!it was thankfully caught early!! somebody who has blessed others with his amazing music should live forever in perfect health and happiness as a reward for all the joy he brings to others!! thank you mr prine!!
@@4orrcountry I'm sorry especially if you're hurting as much as me after the world lost the amazing treasure of John Prine. He beat cancer twice but in the end this Godforsaken Corona virus stole him away so quickly and unexpectedly. The world can be so cruel.

Same! It was an amazing show! I’m a nurse, but even still, the worst part of Covid to me was the loss of John Prine. 💔

Pretty sure that is Willie Watson on stage. He was in OLd Crow back then, and personally, I think the band was batter then.
