Johnny Lightning models are very rare to see in Spain. My favorite is the Gran Torino and the Mercury Cougar, I wish there were more models of the Johnny Lightning brand.

And that Lincoln reminds me of the very old Matchbox car, it came in a dark green and had black wheels and had suspension.
those old cutlases? yeah memories, i washed that car too many times to count, a cream supreme of my g mas and a burgundy one of my g pas, my dad picked up a starfire gt a year or so later ;) and everyone ended up driving a cutlass ciera later on lol, except me, im a ford guy. thanks for the trip down ol memory lane racegrooves!
Thanks for showing these. I love the red Cutlass, and the red Lincoln.Sadly, here in the UK, it's easier to find rocking horse droppings than Johnny Lightning models. I could get them off the internet, but the prices get silly. So, as long as you show us these beauties, that's good enough for me. Much obliged. Cheers!

I already got the A batch of this Classic Gold set and they're a wonderful set of cars.And if i wanted another set of these, i'd probably go with batch C. The Cutlass Supreme and Mercury Cougar look amazing in these colors! And great castings as well.

The Cutlass has a Landau Vinyl cover. A retro styling introduced in the 1920's, it harkens back to the pre-World War One sedans and carraiges that had real Landau tops.
The late '70s was so weird...

Vinyl tops were used on cars since the 30's. It was not exclusive to the 70's. Still had them through the 90's as well.
MrWolfSnack 1925 vinyl, canvas, leather roofs were fitted to hardtops to evoke a convertible, even fitting the "s" shaped Landau Bars on the rear pillars. In 1925, these fittings were retro. Through the years the style fell in and out of fashion.
Hopefully it stays out for a while...
The GTO might be my favorite in the series. Hard to pick between that and the scout.

The Mercury Cougar in blue looks very similar to a hot wheels redline, and honestly thats pretty neato in my opinion

Alot of collectors in my area.
What I can see, I don't think that's copper. It looks like the same color of my truck, GM calls it Sunset Star Burst Orange. If it's cloudy it looks copper but in the sun it looks likes metallic orange. Good video............

hmmm seems a bit deceptive with all the white wheels and interiors. I am sure many will grab them thinking they scored a white lightning and others will be out trying to sell them as such on ebay to unsuspecting buyers.

That 74' Grand Torino reminded me when we all went: ugh! When those new 12-inch bumpers came out to ruin the original lines of many cars. The JL casting recreates that change very nicely. Is there a 72-73 Torino by JL, Greenlighht or MT Models we could compare it with?

the colour Copper doesn't sound as exciting as Firethorn red
dear racegrooves could you unbox the criss cross crash set i would love to see that by the way i have an idea you know track time this time could you please do it on the criss cross track you can put people in teams of 4 two of them battle against the other two this is just a suggestion

Hey racegrooves do you collect greenlights hot pursuit series of police cars? I think it would be a interesting video to compare the johny lightining police cars to greenlights.
I believe that Greenlight models are a larger scale.
