"Unchained" is one of the most fascinating collections ever when you're a Bolan fan. It can sure be patchy, but it's a rare insight into the creative process of a songwriter. I love the fact that they are chronological. Thanks for sharing.
I love this kind of material it shows that he was trying new ways and his random words is about getting the feel right first and then he would probably rearrange or add new words its just a real insight in to his world that brings us closer to real Marc Bolan I just love it he is a true genius self taught unlike the rest he invented his own persona, keep on rock in at the union hall yeah
@@ianclarke3627 It's an 8 or 9 CD set that contains home recordings and studio recordings that marc never released in his lifetime. There are tons of great songs that are finished or mostly finished that fit right along with his studio work. Some stuff he should have totally released.
At the beginning of the computer and UA-cam era, I didn't particularly like these albums. Then two songs were downloaded all night with the most powerful computer in the store and computer service where my nephew worked. But we took off patiently. I was disappointed with the songs, but after a while I decided to listen only to unchained albums, and I found a songs to compile 3 albums on the computer and enjoyed listening to them. Sometimes on the first listen you dismiss a song as bad, but after a while you find value in it. I am 61 years old and I have been listening to T.Rex since I was 9 years old. They have always remained at the top of my listening list. Now my mobile phones are full of albums and I drag them everywhere with me. 👍💯💖
There are tons of great complete songs and ditties throughout this series. So good! 21st century stance, bolans blues. Plateau Skull, Saturday Night, Down Home Lady, I'm coming to Rock n roll, slider blues, funky london childhood, over the flats, auto destruct, high wire, yesterday, bolans zip gun (theme for a dragon), jet tambourine and on and on.
I myself play guitar for 51 years and I played in 2 bands until I was 25, but then I got married and I didn't feel like playing anymore. Playing araund. But i play at home every day. Now i have problem with left palm and i can't playing(araund 2 y)this situacion make me sad & mad in same time. Operacion is 10min but corona(covid) and tomorrow tomarrow never come. Grettings from Zadar- Croatia- Adriatic coast I am veteran of war for independent and war invalid but living normal.
