- The jeans were heavily soiled, small rocks or pebbles may have found their way into the pump making a grinding noise. During agitation the pump is constantly turning in the opposite direction so that even though the impeller is spinning it is not pumping water out the drain. The debris was finally pumped out during rinse and spin.
Kirk I think It did a pretty good job cleaning considering that they were washed in cold water only and not pretreated or anything like that!!! in reality with a load that dirty, I would first pretreat the tough stains, Then put them through a pre-wash cycle to wash away some of the dirt, then through the heavy duty cycle using warm water and a full cap of detergent plus an extra rinse... People need to understand that loads like these need to be helped along a little, not just thrown in with a little detergent and then expect them to come out looking brand new!!! I've read so many reviews on u-tube where people put the washer down because the clothes didn't come out clean the first time, People these are just washing machines not merical workers, you have to do your part too in helping with the process to achieve the goal of clean clothes!!! Great Video Kirk and Have A Great Weekend!!!
Hi
John Sluder yep my stepfather was a in the rendering business and the old MaGraw Edison SQ's took care of that with ease until the year 2000. But you still might have to run a load twice. This whole idea machines clean everything and get stains out and all that in one wash isn't a realistic expectation and never was!
@@Channel-cm7yc
Not now 😒 it isn't. Machines today are less harsh on fabric and they use less water
merical workers 🤣
IMO, hot water would work best for Jeans this dirty
Thank you for using the CORRECT method of fabric softener use! So many friends of mine absolutely fill their agitator full of it with no water dilution and it drives me nuts! In fact I use vinegar instead of fabric softener, to completely eliminate the risk of damage to the machine and my clothes.
I prefer using real fabric softener and don't trust the vinegar in the wash.
@@jeromedavis8575I guess you love messing up your washer
Why do you say that? I've used softenrr and I have yet to have any issue.@@ariotguard2425
What do you mean? My washer is fine with real fabric softener. I don't trust stupid vinegar in my wash! It doesn't work! And I even use 1, 2, or 3 pods depending on how big or soiled the load is!@@ariotguard2425
@@jeromedavis8575 I understand your argument, you may use fabric softener but only 1-3 teaspoons is good. Fabric softener is only effective because it leaves a thin layer of film on your clothes. That not only builds up on your clothes but your washer. It takes a while for someone to notice it but after 8 years it will start showing. It can interfere with the agitator and motor sometimes breaking it. I hope you understand what my argument is.
I bought my family a speed queen washer starting out working at age 17 back in 1991 that dam thing lasted over 20 yrs with one break down.we had a family of 5 used it like crazy.
It's "damn".
@@jeromedavis8575 it’s Ma’am!
Considering how filthy those jeans were I think it did a very good job! Just imagine what one of those Whirlpool Cabrios would of done with washing them in 3 cups of water.
I lived in an apartment that had a brand new Craprio and man what a piece of crap it was. I moved to another apartment (built in 2001) that had the original whirlpool direct drive from 2001 and it was WAY better!
They would fail bigtime!
It would've struggled. One thing about these beauties is that even when there's debris in the pumps and it's grinding it up during agitation, it just keeps on trucking.
They won't work, and these stupid tree huggers know it. Do they think we're stupid?
Same with LG, GE, Samsung and others.
I am a big fan of the top load washer with an agitator. That's what I grew up on and still love. This unit has an old school vibe with a new school look. That combined with the fact it does a great job removing soil, places it on the top of my list and I will seriously consider purchasing this unit when I am in the market.
Thanks for sharing this video.
I totally agree!
@@Ififitzisitz So did I!
Thank you for all of your videos. They helped me make a decision re purchasing a new Speed Queen. I was really thrown for a while as the TR7 looked really bad and it appeared that in Australia we only had a washer which looked identical to it. This put me off buying for quite a while. When I asked the salesmen about the washers they didn’t know what I was talking about re the 2018 model. Turns out that in Australia Speed Queen have kept the old-school agitation (we never got the TR action) but we have also been given all of the wash cycle and choices found on the TR7 (which is why the control panels look identical). The model is AWNE92BLACK. The best of both worlds! I can’t believe we have this machine down here and you don’t. I took delivery today and have already put 3 loads through. A little noisier than expected, but hands down the best machine I’ve ever had.
Yeah, the Maytag commercial agitator beats this all day long. Btw, thanks for these vids.
I mean, the pants were dirtier than just a little bit! Pants that dirty would probably be rinsed before going in a machine in a normal house but, the washig machine bodied these pants. Maybe, since denim is so rigid, remove a pair but all in all, it did a good job.
I also would have considered after the first wash, turning the dial back to wash again and doing another wash with 2 rinses. Still, to me, this is the best washing machine on the market by far
Kirk, I appreciate your testing. However, I believe most homeowners, and I know this might be hard for others living in an apartment, but before those jeans would have entered into y machine, regardless of whose brand it is, and I understand what your intentions were here, those jeans would have been shaken outside to make sure all mud clods and/or pebbles would be out of the clothes. Then, if I had a garden hose, I would have hosed down those jeans to get as much of the surface mud off of them as possible. If I was in an apartment and I didn't have access to a garden hose, then I would have brought them to the kitchen sink, or the bathtub and rinsed that mud off the best I could. I have played in mud much worse than that in my 4x4 truck, and I would never allow something like that to go into the machine. What brought me here today is that I am looking to replace my machines with Speed Queen's, whom I'm very familiar with. Again, I appreciate your testing and understand your intent. I just don't think most people would put that kind of "mud" into their machines like that. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. And with different soils in the country (USA), Deep South Clay isn't going to come out of the machine that easy, even if it is a Speed Queen.
Thanks again for the video.
i just found 1 simple trick to having this speed queen washer fill the tub all the way to the very top.
1. just simply wait until the tub is done deep filling the tub.
2. then let it start a wash cycle and then
3. afterwards cancel the current cycle completely by holding start for 10 seconds.
4. then start a new cycle again by pressing the start button and then the washer will fill up with a little more water into the tub for maximum tub fill!!
this is also handy for extending the current wash cycle times by reseting it. in case you wanna do a 48 minute wash cycle
@Ronald McFondle UA-cam seems to just not notify my of every reply made to me.
So i accidentally ran into your comment
@Ronald McFondle hi Ronald I just ordered this washer dryer set today. I apologize for asking this but.... You're saying to add just one gallon of water to the tub before I put my clothes in and this will give me a full tub of water? I guess I'm just not understanding how that would work. Thanks for your response!!
The washer doesn't drain the water out when cancelled? Also, if you do this little trick, wouldn't you risk overfilling the tub?
I just want to verify that the machine will fill to the top holes this way. It seems very strange that the control board would allow this to happen. Are you not worried about the washer being filled too high?
I would say those jeans are a good candidate for the pressure washer haha
Old school washing action in a new washer.. Love it..
Speed Queen builds some top notch laundry eq. If you ever took notice most of all the laundromats use Speed Queen EQ . That should tell you something ! There’s a laundromat not far from where I live has Speed Queen EQ . They are Front load . Man they scrub the you know what out of your clothes . Speed Queen clean ! I currently have a Bosch set at home & never had no issues . I bought it new way back in 06. Still going strong . When the time comes to replace it I’m going with Speed Queen ! Good stuff !
My Speed Queen EQ does the same thing at my apartment complex. They're not trifling around!
Hi Kirk! I think this washer does I very respectable job on these clothes! It really cleaned them well! Also, First!
Thanks!!! It's a great washer.
I agree!
Furthermore, this washer washes like the old school ones. Gotta love it!
Loadzofcoins thats because it is an old schooler.
i hear this is the same design as they used on the 2015 models and or a bit earlier
Speed Queen should've been heavily advertised because of this.
I'm getting this machine thank you exactly what I've been looking for.
Just curious if you got it & how it's been performing?!
I just used the one that I bought a few months ago for my Delray Beach quadraplex, earlier today.
These machines never strain. Neither does their front loader.
Bruce do you prefer the 2018 or 2019 Speed Queen top loader?
The Pink Diamonds 2019 obviously
My next washer & dryer is going to be a Speed Queen ! For one proven durability & relabillty

We bought a maytag washer has no power and selects your water level we have had it for 7mo. I hate it, cause it has no power and clothes are not clean,we ordered a Speed Queen today can't wait to have a good washer that makes me happy!
@Reneepurk Sorry about your Maytag !!! May I please know, did you get a Speed Queen and if so, do you like it better than the Maytag?
Hey Kirk, I’ve always wondered what is the blue small tape is for, I’ve never gotten the chance to ask, but now I am.
It makes it easier to count the revolutions of the tub.
What a great washer. And a little soap goes a long way
Man! I would love the have this washer when I buy or build my own place.
This is some powerful wash action! I love it! Now I can use laundry detergent and fabric softener for real!
Thank you so much for jeans test. I am looking to get a new Washer as my 15 year old whirlpool died as the circuit board fried. I bought A SQ dryer back in 2010 and The Only work I did on it was 6 months ago The Drum belt broke. Replaced the belt, tensioner and rollers. Still works like new being 10 years old. Though about the Commercial Maytag But now I WILL get the mate for my dryer. Again Thank you. Brian Perry
I like this washer because it has the indexing tub like the old Frigidaire washing machines from the 2000’s.
Man that looked like coffee water! Sure did okay with cold!

Try doing a load of your dirty jeans in a Commercial Speed queen front loader
I own two agitator washers similar to this one (direct drives to be specific) and a newer LG front loader, and all three are about equal in terms of how clean they get stuff. For heavy soiled fabrics, I would never consider using the front loader. There’s not enough water to dilute all of that stuff, and I would worry a lot about the fragile parts they use.
Persil is the same as the old Whisk! laundry detergent. Personally I use old fashioned Gain soap powder along with a couple spoonfuls of tri-sodium phosphate along with a capful of Calgon liquid water softener as we have hard water here and it does a fantastic job. Two more months and I'll have enough saved up for my new TC5 :D I think they've went up to $1,300.00 now + tax which will make it $1,391.00 here in Southern Indiana. I may keep saving to get the dryer as well depending on how long my 20+ year old whirlpool pair keep going.
I bought this washer today. I think the washer that replaced it (TC5003wn ) has too many add- ons. This washer is very basic and has top notch reliability. I hope manufacturers learn most people want a washing machine for clothes , not a computer.
I think the fabric softener should not be added on the first rinse. It can loose it's effect on the clothes.
oh yes it will and by the time they come out the dryer the cloths with smell like little to no fabric softener and just heat from the dryer.all these rinses will do nothing but rinse majority of the fabric softener out so i wouldn't use that setting with fabric softer its just getting rinsed out.
fabric softener stinks and is horrible for the environment. Often, too much soap is used so the fabric softener cuts the stiffness from the soap. Using some vinegar instead of softener will soften the clothes without smell or harmful chemicals in the environment. I guess some want their laundry/clothes smelling like fabric softener so they don't believe it stinks.
@@keenhr8t4blues here in europe the situation is a bit different. I can't give up on fabric softener
@@keenhr8t4blues dryer wool balls are better than fabric softener
@@keenhr8t4blues I use fabric softener all the time. I want my clothes fresh and soft.
When should the fabric softener be added to the rinse? I use a laundry sanitizer (it goes where the fabric softener should) and I want the liquid to agitate with the water filled in the tub. Do I have to do an extra rinse and set the cycle to spin, in order to do this?
My mom had a Speed Queen best machine ever
Any washer would have had a problem getting these clean and with only cold water. I think the SQ did very well. I doubt that he machines would have done a better job in that time frame and cold water.
I’ve been calling around trying to find one of these (April 2021). Apparently this one is discontinued and the new model is TC5003WN. I tried to search your channel for a video on that one but can’t find one. Have you done one for that model? I have watched sooooo many of your videos while trying to decide which machine to buy in the age of tablespoon water washing. 🙄 This one looks amazing, and I’m sorry to have missed it!
Also, your videos are so amazingly helpful!
After the cycle, set the options selector to extra rinse and the cycle selector to spin. The machine will fill with tap-cold water, agitate, and then spin normally.
It takes an extra step, but it works.
I didn't know that cool :)
How do you keep the lid open while the machine is still running. On m speed clean, the machine stops as soon as you open the lid b
Also, is there any trick to wash a very small load in order to save on water.
I think turning off "deep water" will probably lower it to about 1/2 of a tub
Love my new Speed Queen. First time buyer.
I just got mine a few weeks ago and I’m disappointed. I feel like the clothes don’t smell clean when they come out. Any pointers would be appreciated
@@angeladistasio5296 Use a better quality detergent. This machine has a sturdy and stable operation. If you're water is clean then it's must be the quality of your detergent.
In the video, when he was adding detergent (like at minute 2:00) I could see that the top several inches of the drum is a darker shade/color than the rest of the drum. Did the same thing happen on your machine? Do you know why?

I really want to see a comparison with a modern speed queen with a 70s style Maytag
THANKYOU great video old fashion style washer beats the crap out of your dirty clothes but gets them clean! Plus you can actually get real hot water to clean not mixed hot and cold! My whirlpool mixes hot and cold even on hot setting.
These days they actually put water heaters in many of them so that may be a common problem with HE washers.
That's how you clean laundry! None of these new washers do this. They just counsel the dirt out of your clothes.
I'm sold and just ordered mine. I'm sick of the new cheaply made washers that last 2 or 3 years. These old school tanks are proven winners and they are now giving the 5 year warranty again (but really they'll run for 15-20 years). TC5003WN is the new model number with better warranty. (same machine as the TC5000 just a better warranty now) $500 for 2-3 trouble free years or $1000 for 15-20 trouble free years... You decide.
Hi! When should you really put in the clothes? My cycle is, detergent- water-clothes. I make sure that the detergent is well distributed in the water before I put in the clothes
With the rinse water being that dirty still, maybe it should go thru another wash cycle with additional soap. Those jeans were acceptionaly dirty.
All that water and they are still dirty. 😂
Get em in a traditional front loader with a mechanical timer - pre wash and about 3-4 rinses, those would be the clean.
You should use a whole lid of soap. I use half a cap for half a load.
So wasteful. On some lid caps, they have measuring numbers so you actually get 60 loads instead of 40 from the jug.
Umm no you shouldn’t? Why would you want to add more of a little amount is just fine? Did you know adding to much is bad for the washer and your clothes? Why do you want to spend more money on detergent?
I have a 30 year old Maytag model LA412 that's been a great washer but for the last 6 months it gets a little iffy as to whether it will agitate without fiddling with it so I'm going to change out a couple of parts and if that doesn't work I will be looking for a new one. I have heard that Speed Queens are built like tanks but in recent years don't wash very well. Consumer Reports only gives it a 3 out of 5 rating on the actual cleaning. After looking into this I have seen where Speed Queen has addressed this issue and once again made it where the agitator does the movement of the clothes and not the tub. I was looking at the Maytag MVWP575GW commercial grade residential machine but nobody has them in stock so I may try this Speed Queen TC5000WN and not the TR 5000WN
Please, let the Maytag retire. It is too old to work
@@UhBuddy1976 I did retire the old LA412 Maytag with the orbital transmission and bought the new commercial grade Maytag for residential use. Couldn't be happier. I did look into getting a Speedqueen but all the dealer had in stock were those 2018 models that everybody complained about he said he could order the 2019 version but he wanted about $100.00 more than retail and the Maytag I bought was on sale for about $100.00 less than retail.
Did you mother ever teach you to add soap after the water if full? lol I just paid 23 hundred for the commercial grade. I hope the wife is right, Tax and all , gas dryer and removal. YES speed queen. Good video and Robert is right, presoak a load like that. I think we'll be happy. Hard to be our old Kenmore we used for 20 years that came with the house.
I always add the soap first as it is filling, then put clothes in. No need to use up agitating time just to get the soap dissolved.
I have to retire my 30 year old Kenmore, hated that it twisted sheets so tight it took forever to untwist them, so ended up at a laundromat to wash sheets. That ol Kenmore had a high rpm on both spin cycles and 30 second splash rinse which was great. This video showed only 2 seconds of splash rinse, wish it was minimum 15 seconds. The SQ tub is small so it'll require more frequent wash loads, but keeping it simple, doing it right is the way to go. If this wash had been stopped and the jeans re-arranged mid wash cycle there would not have been dirt residue in areas.
@@keenhr8t4blues I went with speed queen. So far so good.

@@renapoppers2068 yeah that's what happened when you put food dye in the washing machine. It will stain the tub.
The old Speed Queen system is hard to beat, it just chops right through the dirty laundry and gets it clean. The amount of indexing is surprising, my two Speed Queens barely index an inch in each direction even with a full load.
That's prob because your brakes are set in
They are built to last 25 years. It can hold giant loads
I have a dumb noob kinda question to ask. I've never seen a washer with a place for the fabric softener built into the top of the agitator. I noticed during the first spin that the fabric softener cup emptied, but did not see any splash out of the top (or not that I could catch it with my own eyes), how does the fabric softener end up in with your clothes?
During the first spin, the softener is slung by gravity to the inside walls of the big top cap. When it stops spinning, the softener will work it's way down the agitator and out the holes in the shaft and into the water as it's filling for the rinse cycle. Watch the small holes that are cleverly made down at the bottom of the agitator and you'll see the softener coming out and going into the water (look close for the film it makes in the water right at the edge of the agitator at the bottom). Watch a video of someone taking the softener cap apart and cleaning it out and it will make sense how the gravity part works. I hope this helps.
I was going to say that the washing machine drank the fabric softener and said "yum yum, eat'em up!"
Hmmm. Not impressed really with the wash action or the results.
i THINK THE JEANS CAME OUT GOOD, FOR WHAT YOU DID TO THEM BEFORE YOU WASH THEM.I AM FOR THE OLD MODEL.OF WASHING MACHINE. THANKS
So is this the new 2019 “Classic” model. The old design prior to 2018?
Yes it performs just like my 2008 model.
What is the differences between TC 5000WN and the TC 500WN? How much does each one cost?
Great review! Thanks for the video!
Thank you for sharing, I dont know if you notice the agitator is more agressive on this heavy duty cycle rather than bulky cycle. I'd loved to own one of these if it is to wash that way. I dont know if there is a clutch between the motor and transmission.
So what's the story on the LWN432 model? How does it differ from the AWN432 and TC5?
I’m trying to figure out if I should get the TC5 or the TR7 which the drum spins back and forth. My question for you is. Will this wash dog beds and comforters in your machine the TC5 and is the drum the same size as the TR7. I appreciate you taking time to show this video. Extremely helpful and informative. 😊
Both might be too small. Look tp Maytag Commercial 586 at 3.5 or GE Commercial at 4.2 cu feet.
When it comes to washing performance, I recommend the TC5.
I would think all that soil and little rock would be bad for that washer.
Yeah, not too many people would put clothes that dirty in a washer. They would either spray them off with a water hose first or a pressure washer. I would probably just let them dry, put them in a bag and take them to Goodwill.
Indexing seems worse than 2017 models?
Can anyone please help: it's March 2020 and I must purchase a new washing machine... I had no idea what an absolute nightmare this would be.... Is there not any decent unit i can get with NO push buttons, fancy lights or electronics of any kind? I desperately want a washing machine that still utilizes a mechanical timer and none of that electronic crap, a washing machine that has decent roll since this household has two blue collar workers that both bring home some pretty nasty clothing.. It seems like speed queen really has gone downhill since 2017... if only the AWN432s was not discontinued that would be perfect because it had a load size adjustment for situations needing small fill....
heck, If I would have realized that washing machine shopping in 2020 would be this horribly depressing, I would have bought like 5 units 25 years ago and put them in storage... It's now going on 2 weeks of no home washer and getting sadder with each passing day..
The TC5000 has been doing the job for me for almost a year. My clothes come out clean.
You might find something used or reconditioned, and there's always beating the clothes on a rock by the creek.....
we all feel your pain. all the money in the world won't buy you a new, good, functional washing machine that actually CLEANS your clothes. Who ever thought we would allow liberals to destroy such a simple everyday activity?!
world2give Im in the same situation as you now. And I’ve tought the same about buying two and storing it 🤗. Have you bought one already? Im looking for one too. My maytag of 26 years broke and I loved it. I also want one with simple bottons and super capacity.
@@jcg5050 Actually no, I refused to buy a new unit... I had to replace the basket drive and transmission and the washer is back in service... I fully expect to spend thousands repairing this thing until parts cannot be had.... hope you had a good outcome!
If nothing else works, then put your laundry in either the dishwasher or the toilet, put some soap in there and they give them a swirly!
Damn, that looks so muddy, I don't think it came out clean. I mean, each rinse, the water became muddy again. Perhaps give them a second wash maybe? Not the fault of the washer. Fault of the guy being too messy, lol.
What I don't like is that the clothes on top stay on top during the entire wash cycle. I would prefer for the clothes to continuously rotate from top to bottom during the wash. Is there a best machine that you recommend for that?
Heavy soil adds four minutes to the wash cycle.
Man those were some dirty jeans!
They came from Mike Rowe from dirty Jobs
Everybody gangsta till the washing machine goes *WRWRWRWRWRWRWRWR*
Wash again with 2d rinse. Dirty clothes even after washing is good way to get skin rot fungus.
Is that a duel action agitator, like Maytag has? Seems different than the 2018/17 agitators?
If duel action, do you prefer?
No it's one-piece agitator.
Is the Speed Queen front loader just as good as this washer? If BOTH the TC5 and front loader were equal in price, and you had plenty of space for either, which one would you choose and why?
They are definitely not equal in price. We just bought the TC5 ($1329) top loader and the front load model is over $2K.
@@tomm7505 Yes the front load model is extremely expensive, and we just bought one a year ago. No regrets so far. That being said, I recommend most people get the TC5 unless they have a compelling reason and the money for the front loader over the top loader. They are both excellent machines that actually clean your clothes!
This is why I will never believe that front load washing machines will get clothes clean.
they actually clean very well. I washed large, yellow cat vomit stain from my light grey area rug ( ruggable), treated with stain remover for 15 min. and washed it. Rug came out clean. Used hot water, heavy soil cycle and front loading LG washer ( 6 years old). I washed dried blood from the sheets when my husband had injured led. I can't imagine having top loading machine in the second floor laundry room. Top loaders are too noisy for the second floor. I sometimes start my front loader before going to bed ( delay start so it's done when I wake up), laundry room is next door to my bedroom, but it's not bothering me or my family. Top loaders can only go to the first floor or basement with noise level they make.
@@brigitas9176 Yea, but speed queen is not going to make front loaders anymore, WHY?
@@stevecrazy9491 why do you think they going to stop making them ? Even if SQ planning to stop making fl washers it's not the biggest loss, because SQ fl washers are very outdated.
@@brigitas9176 Actually the way things are made, the business behind the scenes has more to do with things stopped being made than anything. Especially USA made things. Labor cost, etc. I used our washer and dryer for the first time yesterday and I love my heavy duty washer speed queen TC5. You see, the cost is the biggest factor. I don’t think any washer could clean those in one regular wash cycle. You’d need extra rinse cycles, and a pre wash if your machine had that.
With clothes that caked with soil and pebbles, etc., I'd spray them off with a hose outside before I put them in ANY washer.
Kirk does the 2018 speed queen top loader clean better in this particular jean test?
I believe this TC5 does a better job (more aggressive agitation, and better clothing turnover throughout the wash, and rinse cycle).
Does it rreally takes an hr for one charge?
It depends on what you're charging and what the power level is
Unfortunately in Panama, they don´t sell this and other brands down here. No Maytag and Speed Queens.

I was considering this machine but feel the Maytag Commercial is a better machine as performance, with a better warranty, lower cost thus a better bang for buck than this machine though this is a great machine and will last over 20 years.
Yep, I'd love to have one of these still. But for me the fact they pulled Lorain Furniture & Appliances dealership because he posted an honest negative review would keep me from ever pulling the trigger. That's so sketchy and unethical.
Edit: after taking a look at the video even the (on sale now for $500) GE GTW465 with a bigger drum capacity has far better turn over than this.

Kirk, your test was unfair to the machine. Jeans this soiled (mine get this way regularly) need either to be first rinsed off outdoors with the hose on "full," or-pre-washed in the machine. Your setting should have been "heavy soil"--which implies that the machine knows to give extra oomph to the rinse, hence dealing with your complaint that you couldn't instruct for both extra rinse and heavy soil. I will say that your videos and the reviews below them have helped me decide which washer NOT to buy (was looking at a GE/GTW465SNWW, and the incredibly slow cycle and awful reviews there made me rethink that!) This Speed Queen machine is nearly 2x the cost of the one I've rejected, but I'd like to see it tested fairly with accurate settings and better pre-handling/dirt-reduction (more like what most of us do) of the laundry.
I agree, or at least shaken off. I understand really putting a washer to the test, but this seemed unrealistic.
Kirk your test was fine, because I own a Speed Queen and I know how good it works. I guarantee that the junk Whirlpool machines and these new garbage HE machines can't clean like that. Speed Queen is the best on the market bar none and worth every dollar you spend on it.
@@ExcelsiorElectric Or use tide hygienic clean.
Speed queen not come in XL size 5.0 Cu and up?
In which year did the machine was manufactured?
Hi Kirk
I'm surprised their is actual suds with all that mud. The water looks like chocolate milk or coffee.
I would have used at least half a cap of soap
Too many Jean's with that much water, number 1...and I see the tub going around, BUT it does not PULL the Jean's down, so, how clean are they really? Most older good machines pull the clothes DOWN from the top and back again. Try laying a towel on top of everything and you will see what I am saying. Round and round does NOT do the cleaning...it is NOT actually AGITATING the water thru the jesns....Sorry, NOT convinced.....
Man what have you been doing to get those jeans so dirty?
He put them in some mudd and stepped on them
What is the DB rating on this machine is it loud?
Shouldn’t you have done a rinse and spin cycle prior to washing such a muddy load?
He should have pressure washed them first
Just don't care for the lack of water level options. That's a pretty critical component that's missing here. Everybody wants this wash system that's all fine and dandy. I'm sure glad I don't have to pay the utility bills that go with it!! Count me out on that!!
I like my lg. It doesn't have to use a ton of water unless I put it on bedding and it does just as good of a job if not better
@@UhBuddy1976 you like a piece of crap washing machine that won’t even last 10 years?
@@johnoofsatchurch I certainly don't!
Abnormal noises during wash; play in agitator assembly heard during stoppage of spin cycle.
That was only because the agitator was dizzy and didn't not feel like playing anymore!
God the tub index on this thing is horrific! Lol! I think it took mine about 6 months before it stopped. Now I have a great turnover.
What is tub index?
In the video, when he was adding detergent (like at minute 2:00) I could see that the top several inches of the drum is a darker shade/color than the rest of the drum. Did the same thing happen on your machine? Do you know why?
@@renapoppers2068 I'm sorry. It doesn't look like anyone knows except for me. They painted it darker that way
Those need to be 3 separate buttons instead of one rotary knob.....
The hard tub indexing prevents the jeans from rolling over properly; that's not good.
What is “Hard tub indexing”?
I Googled it: Indexing on topload washers refers to the basket/drum turning a few degrees of arc during agitation, typically opposite to one of the agitation strokes (either only CC or CCW, not both directions).
So now that I know what indexing is, what is your idea of Good hard tub indexing? I’m looking for really aggressive agitation to clean heavily soiled jeans, which I do almost daily!
@@kimjay2697 Yup, that's what you see in this washer. The clothes would "roll over" better if the tub was stationary... like what you see in the older Kenmore/ Whirlpool DD washers. However, their newer washers have those damn indexing tubs too. Luckily they use a dual action agitator, so that helps to pull the clothes down to the bottom, despite the indexing tub.
@@jamesorsby7553 thanks! That really helps! I wasn’t aware of that!
I have an old Kenmore 80 series and want another with similar aggressive agitation, (I wash very dirty jeans on the daily) any suggestions?
Okay the jeans came out clean a lot of that is old wear and tear from your jeans
How do you make yours run with lid open?
He said "ooo eeee oooo ahh ahh ching chang water bing bang!"
Hey Kirk what washer do you have in your home?
As of now, the one featured in this video....
Kirk Rivas do you still like it? It seems to be a very nice washing machine. I’m about to place my order for the TC5 with matching dryer. Was wondering what your thoughts are now. Thanks
@@lazyjoe99 yes he likes it! After he gets done rolling down the hill in all of his jeans, he has to clean them somehow.
You usually use that little detergent to do your loads? Come on. Pour the detergent to the right line.
Ain't no way in hell them clothes got clean with that tiny bit of soap. Especially after he stuffed it full of jeans.
My mom doesnt use the cup she pours it in the machine for about 3seconds this guy is crazy
As dirty as them jeans were, he should have used the entire bottle.
@@UhBuddy1976 or just add in some detergent booster like oxi clean, or borax. Because adding a bottle of detergent just because it's a bunch of dirty jeans to get em clean is like dumping a whole jar of salt into a big pot of stew thinking it will taste better
@@blackice7408 agreed
How long does it take to do one load?
Up to 45 minutes
I use the NORMAL ECO cycle with extra rinse; it comes in about 38 minutes.
@@5610winston use the heavy duty cycle all the time
这个就很好玩 这么脏的 扔进去 出来就干净了 神奇
Can you use pods in these?
I use Member's Mark Ultimate Clean Power Pacs, usually two if the load is especially dirty.
Any HE detergent will work.
I would not put pods in them. You might produce too many Gremlins that way
Water too dirty spin out start fresh new detergent
