Excellent explanation - I didn't realize what Planner could actually do. Hopefully it'll help me stay more organized!

This is exactly what I needed! Thank you! I'm going to assign this video to my team to watch (so they'll see this comment - Hi Dragonfly Team!).

Your videos are so informative. Biggest challenge as a Manager... Is there a way to sell ALL tasks across ALL plans assigned to a Direct Report? So during a 1:1 we can see the tasks and manage rather than going to each of the 9-10 plans? No need for me to see their 'private' tasks... just ones we share as a Group.

Great video, thank you for posting. I'm utterly confused on how to keep tasks organized as they synch between Planner, Loop and To Do. The tasks pull into Planner based on my meeting name, no project name. And when they synch to To Do I can't file them under a list or Group. And some of my lists synch back to Planner but not all. It is very frustrating and confusing. Do you have a video on this perhaps?

Thank you for the comment. Tasks from a meeting, will be part of a 'Loop plan' that will inherit the name of the meeting. If you want this to display the project name, then you could update the meeting name to [project name]-[meeting name]. Tasks assigned in Planner that are associated with a 365 Group (or Team) are 'shared plans' so you won't be able to assign those to a List as those are considered 'private plan.' I am not sure about your delay in Lists sync as I have just created a new list and had no delays with them syncing to Planner (both lists assigned to Group and standalone lists). In Planner, these lists will appear under My Plans > Personal, but you can also use the search bar.
I have just posted an updated video today on how to use Planner, the Teams meeting chapter may be helpful. ua-cam.com/video/G0ewpKfnukQ/v-deo.htmlsi=T0jqgAwvLrg5SI5H
In the next week, I'll also be posting a video specifically on Teams meeting notes (which will also cover tasks in Loop and their integration with Planner).
      Best of luck!

@@officeskillswithamy Thanks for the additoinal information. The challenging I'm having is that I can't figure out how to assign a personal task (from a project that is not shared with anyone else) to be assigned to one of my lists in To Do. They show up under "Assigned to me" but I can't also add them to a specific list in To Do which makes it archaic.

I am sorry to hear that. Shared Plans, Personal Plans and To DO Lists are all separate, they are not designed to be moving tasks between these. If you are familiar with To Do, then I have done another video on To DO which may clarify some things ua-cam.com/video/oHfRr393Tgc/v-deo.html
You could simply add your Personal Tasks as Private Tasks and then use Categories to categorize them by project.

I have Project and Planner 3, and I don't see the "Show on card" option. Has something changed?

This is not available in Planner Premium at the moment, I would recommend sending feedback to MS to suggest this feature.
