PhiDX is a top 3 tekken content creator period like bruh this man is churning out quality content stg
top1
What does “stg” mean?
there is no one better than him.
@@AZAZEL_TKswear to god
@@AZAZEL_TK fair question
I really love how there's all there lore behind Arslan. Whispers on the fringe of the tournament community for years and when he finally rose there was this group of people who knew about him going "I fuckin knew it!". Such a cool story
Spaghetti here talked a mad game and we didn't believe it lol. We definitely thought it was possible with El negro, how other countries who couldn't travel would smash, but we still didn't believe we'd see THAT.
Arslan was like a superior breed, a secret super soldier with kazumi. Who would've believed that there was a super soldier that was just straight up better at everything? But that's straight up what he was/is.
Pakistanis on that Saitama training regimen goddamn
You’re literally my tekken professor. Your content has enabled me to come at the game with a more patient and cerebral approach, which in turn has let me enjoy it outside of the scope of “ oh cool characters and combos “ I can appreciate player expression and strategy in the macro level now. Thank you Prof. Phi. God bless you man keep up the great work
I remeber when i was in a local pakistani arcade when i was young and there is a kid probably abt 7 or 8 years old who beat every big local player older than him with king back in tekken 3 , with a trash bin on his back, he earned his living by collecting trash. Thats how much passion these kids have
This made me wonder just how much of an underdog the Pakistani are in other esports
I used to play Forza horizon 5 with a guy from Pakistan who was incredibly good at the game. Won pretty much all of the time. One day he invited his friends and they made him look slow. Insane talent.
I’ll be putting the “block the move 100 times” thing to practice. I’m willing to bet there’s a ton of value in that approach. It makes the threat identification instant and instead of reacting, you just act.
Really dope video.
The value of repetition and just having the image of something be instantly recognizable, so you skip the identification and just go into your response.
It's why low-skilled 2D game players may know that you're supposed to punish a DP, but they're not able to react to it since they just haven't seen it enough and trained to be able see it.
Still, that kind of thing is only something you can do as a supplement just playing a lot. Without the in-game experience, that kind of training loses value since you don't run into the situation enough.
@AirLancer yup. But what I have learned is that......
Yall ready.? I hope no one sees this.
The secret to better reactions is to never look at your character directly. Only look at your character during combo's.
In neutral and in fight always be watch your opponents character not yours. Boom. There ya go.
I turn on UA-cam and see an hour and ten min vid on Pakistani tekken. I'm so blessed.
Lol the way Spag explained how Asim said 'you think i'm good? Theres players better than me in Pakistan' is some proper anime type shii lol reminds me of Toppo telling Goku about Jiren in DBS 😂
So funny to me getting back into Tekken now having not played since I was a kid with my friends, what's funny though is that at the time in the UK all my friends were Pakistani and they all loved Tekken and were much better at it than I was (they used to travel to Pakistani to see their families) I now wonder if they ever visited some of those same Arcades that Spag mentions back home in Pakistan. Anyway, maybe it is in their blood.
Great chat Phi, really enjoyed this one.
Arslan Ash and "The Miracle of Pakistani Tekken" has to be one of the best gaming stories of all time. Great content Phi and thanks Spag for the history lesson!
Just watched the vod a few hours back and man, you are killing the content creation this game
Same haha, listened to this on the Vod channel, now listening again on the main channel 😅
@@Zlei.gotta support our boy 😂
I am originally from Pakistan living in US, and Maniax arcade is mentioned by Spag @25:00, its based in Lahore Allama Iqbal town. It’s an underground dojo of Tekken, you walk in there and pick a random person, he will select a character on ? And beat the hell out of you with your main. It’s literally insane. Maniax as the name suggests is crazy, if you’re ever in Lahore and play Tekken, go there you’ll know the real Pakistani scene.
Maniax is very popular now Knee visited it when he came ...
You are doing the lords work for this community. As a beginner taking the game seriously, you are of immense help. Congrats!
ah yes, FGC's Pakistan Arc season recap, it was wild

Very cool video!!! I really enjoyed learning about the Tekken scene since my journey started in Tekken 7. Sick video mate! Keep it up 👍🏽 and thank you!
This video was an eye opener, thank you phi you’ve my support
Loving the videos, insane quality
deff enjoyed, your grind is inspiring brodie keep it up!
Absolutely fascinating video man, Spag is so cool
Phi has coached me from complete beginner to vanquisher and I’m not done yet
The road is long ahead and I hope you keep grinding. 👍
1:07:55 This is a really interesting point, as a musician I feel the exact same way about musicians in America vs countries like Japan or Korea. I feel like American musicians historically have been good at coming up with new styles and aesthetics of music, while the average musicians in JP/KR will take those styles and perform them at a much higher level of technical expertise, albeit without innovating as much in terms of style.
May the algorithm push all your content and may all your b+1s be counterhits.
Nice video as always. Keep up the good work
Keep it up man we appreciate all the quality content
Great vid as always!!
Impressive ongoing works. You are good man - BELIEVE IT! You should have at least 1 million followers - your 'Tekken' perspectives are incredible.

Thank you for the great content!
These long episodes are the best!
Love the longer videos
That was an excellent Interview. 10000 hour rule is very evident in the Pakistanis Tekken gameplay.
I’ve always been more of a Tekken spectator than a player and have followed Arslan’s climb to the top since 2018. I had the privilege to watch him win Evo live in 2019.
To get all of this hidden lore after all these years…man PhiDx you really are the goat
Nice t hear starscream and dinosaur mentioned they were on the TBS podcast cool guys
I'm UK but Scottish so it's not quite my scene, there's a few sick guys in Glasgow
Dope video man thanks!
54:02 -= as a british pakistani who has played tekken my whole life, it most definitely is in the blood! My older brother taught me, and our cousin back home taught him how to play :)

Get ready for that graph to stay the same big bro lol, I subbed up love the long form content
Arslan really was the secret final boss
I love the long form content. Play it in the background and do other stuff. 💯😂
Phi needs to have a podcast, love listening to these chats
Thank you ∫Φdx for doing this interview about Pakistan!!
Already watched the vod but I’ll watch again 😂
The other guy behind Lionz Den was Ozzy Liono, idk what he has been upto but don't hold back the credit he deserves for setting up an event as good as Lions Den
ayy man continue what you are doing you do do it the best
I wish you go to Pakistan one day for that tekken bootcamp.
Lol someone mentioned WCG after all these years xD I was a regional judge in my city for WCG 2006 Counter Strike , good times
Amazing content
I remember in the 90s, some rural areas would have an arcade and I saw people doing crazy combos. When the Arslan story came out, my only surprise was that a Pakistani got the visa. Very proud of him and the other Pakistani players.
It’s sad that Dawood still hasn’t been able to play in Evo. He beat Knee in Thaiger Uppercut final 2 years ago. Really strong Alisa and Julia player. Always close FT10 matches against Arslan and other big Pakistan names. I wasn’t surprised at all about him beating Knee. Been following him for long time. Definitely not a fluke.
There is so much around the world to learn from!
Just a comment to say yes pls more long form content
What's the story about Arslan getting to EVO Japan? Fucked up flights/traveling had him there too close to the wire and he got no sleep? MJ style "flu game" where he felt super sick but played on? I'm out of the loop on this one.
Visa issue and travelling and money issues
They are right. Tekken is one of the few games played in Pakistani arcades. I was actually beaten by my mom for playing in an Arcade because playing there not considered good. Later me and my brothers were playing tekken 2 and 3 throughout our childhood.
Phi just ascended in Content creation. Good job man best channel for tekken after Tmm
I love that you had him on! Huge fan of him and his wife, Jean Grey.
Great content
youtube Phi is so chill compared to degen stream Phi
Absolutely true lol. I pray the two sides never cross over.
Marduk was the green health bars or season 2.9 think it changes wth the S3 nww moves aswell
Beat tekken content creator PHDX ❤
Have to agree with Phi on NA esports. We tend to produce a lot of unique and flashy styles but not many well oiled machines.
Interesting stuff
Thanks Phi!
Ma it's a new PhiDx video
PhiDX I know you on that quality Tekken Analysis grind and I am so hear for it...
But can we get a Tekken 8 Jukebox video I need more people to post their playlists😢
28:11 the fact is Tekken tag 2 is emotion for teenager Pakistani player that game is heaven man if i have to pick between Tekken tag 2 or Tekken 8 we will choose Tekken tag 2 that game was beyond our imagination i can't explain the feeling
more of thiss content phidx thnks
Good stuff Phi 🤓
Here, now you will get to 100k
I truly believe that a strong, competitive community and environment are what makes a region strong.
Thank you
Man, I never knew Spag was this cool. I have a lot of newfound respect for him after listening to this.
