UPDATE: As of Patch 7.2.0.1, they have corrected the Wish Ender super energy bug. It's still a good build but you won't get super fast tethers anymore. RIP.
Run "One-Two Finisher" on you class item. Finish a low-health red bar, and you're back in action. Also, run any weapon with Pugilist or even better, use Monte Carlo. I also aim for the feet to bonk (for the majority of the time), that way if you miss, your hammer is never more than a few steps away.
@SuicideRabbit also, people need to realize that they don't need to throw the hammer at every last target, you can refresh and build roaring flame stacks with any regular melee kill once you have a single stack rolling.
Tiny little tip regarding sunbracers build: You actually have more time to start throwing than I think was implied by your wording. You get 4 seconds of "sunbracers ready" first. During which, you can throw your first grenade at any time to start the regen buff. A different timer will start and you can still get the whole timer for sunbracers.
Finally, the fact that Nightstalker pairs best with Bows is becoming more widely known lmao Important tip about Orpheus Rig from a seasoned 'Stalker, though, it doesn’t just refill your Super Bar to 50% when tethering enemies, but also gives chunks of energy to your other abilites every time it snags a target, with no maximum energy cap. Helps offload some of the cooldown costs from the beefier Void Fragments like Undermining. Great stuff otherwise, as always, Nomad!
This. I either use Orphies or Gyrfalcons for void hunter its so good. But solar hunter with tripmines just makes things go boom.. especially with the gunpowder buff making it two fragments
>the fact that Nightstalker pairs best with bows I'd love to hear more about this. Personally, I've had a blast with all kinds of weapons and exotics on void hunter. Ex. stylish executioner and a void smg, running a melee focused build with trappers ambush and a swashbuckler shotgun or scout rifle, reservoir burst fusion rifles and an LMG or chain reaction GL.
@@RTB1400 Alright, so there's two main reasons Nightstalkers pair best with Bows. Reason 1 is the build demonstrated in the video, Bow damage is higher than other Primary weapons, Primary weapons give more Super charge for every instance of damage, and Wish-Ender is the highest-damaging Primary Bow, with three instances of damage. Le Monarque also works well for this purpose, as the poison ticks will be repeatedly shared between the enemies. Reason 2 is a mechanical intricacy a lot of people don't know about. Drawing a Bow doesn't break Invisibility, and Nightstalkers have the easiest access to Invisibilty. I want to be specific here when I say that *drawing* the Bow and holding it back doesn't break invis, but releasing the arrow does. No one knows why, been that way since Forsaken. This is in stark counter to Fusion Rifles, which break Invis as soon as you start charging. Hope that helps!
@@tkfromthe90s Thanks! Sounds like I'll have to crunch some numbers on bows' ability to recharge super vs other primaries. I've known anecdotally that LM is disproportionately higher per minute than other primary weapons-and Wishender would follow suit because of its 3 hits being more instances than 2 from even an explosive head bow. I'm curious how other bows may fare. 🤔 As for the breaking stealth, that's right! I totally forgot. Ever since void 3.0 _and especially_ some exotics releasing _(ex Gyrfalcons)_ I've had no problem getting stealth on demand, which reduced the need to maintain stealth without breaking it. But maybe I'm not seeing the full power of the interaction 🤯 Thanks again for replying! Very insightful.
I want to dive more into the Sunbracers stuff, because I've been using it extensively and it's legitimately capable of carrying Solo Dungeons and Master stuff, too. You're fully capable of using it in Grandmaster content too, but I have other builds that I feel work better. The survivability of the build cannot be overstated with Restoration x2 and Ember of Resolve giving Cure constantly; there are things you can't outheal, and Cure gives that extra buffer for you to be even more aggressive in your flight. There's a good place that I can recommend practicing this build: the Ecthar encounter in Ghosts of the Deep. All those enemies will help you figure out how to get the loop going and survive all the enemies that swarm you there. Okay, on to some more high-end tips that I want to share to really make this build sing. I recommend using Incinerator Snap from above, such that the bolts track and can hit the ground. They deal splash damage, and thus can Ignite multiple enemies; ignition kills from your Snap count for the Sunbracers proc! If you really want to get spicy, if your initial Snap doesn't kill or Ignite, a Phoenix Dive with Heat Rises active can apply the final Scorch stacks necessary to Ignite the enemy, which, if that kills, also procs Sunbracers. If you know what your Snap can kill, then another thing you can work with is using the Snap, then immediately Phoenix Diving afterwards into the enemy, combining the tip I shared above. This gets Restoration x2 active fast, and immediately extends it via Ember of Empyrean. The other thing to avoid is to not Phoenix Dive while your Restoration timer is high, because it will reset the timer back down to what it'd be when you use it. So avoid it if it's capped out! Other than that, it's seriously worth playing with and mastering, because this build is so much fun raining fire everywhere. The build is strong on its own, but there are ways to really make it even better. It just takes practice, and is honestly maybe the hardest of the three in this video to master.
Thought I would continue this thread of good tips here: you can also save a grenade at the end of the sunbracers proc as it could potentially be overkill to throw all 5 grenades. So if you only need 4 to kill everything, save that last grenade to keep the loop going at the next set of ads. Also, if you don't have your grenade but you have your melee, you can proc sunbracers with the melee THEN pop heat rises with the newly generated grenade and you'll still have 2-3 grenades to throw, which in a lot of areas of the game is more than sufficient to kill some ads anyway.
i'm a warlock main and i've been playing the game for 4 months, i still find it very difficult to keep the restoration timer up with this build, seems like too much work after i played bonk build a little. i always get too conscious about the restoration timer that i lose track of enemies that can kill me and i fuck up eventually. and the 5 second timer too makes me nerveous too(not talking about sunbracers ready buff), i feel like i should always maximize the dmg i can do with grenades i can throw.
I might also add that if you are good at evading, or playing an easy activity like Neomuna patrol, the optimal fragments are Eruption, Char, Ashes and Resolve or Empyrean. It’s sufficient to get your melee back, and the potential for perma-ignitions when 2 or more powerful enemies are around is more than enough to compensate.
Ember of searing is an option I really like on sunbracers, especially when paired with a weapon like sky burners that can cause scorch, lts not super needed but it can make looping the build easier
For the warlock build, you can use monte carlo as your exotic weapon since it gives you melee energy just by shooting at things. Not exactly necessary but it makes getting that initial melee energy much easier
The alternate to Bonk Titan: Boom Titan. HoIL + TC on Sentinel, Controlled Demo + Bastion(Offensive Bulwark is an option, just need to remember to prime your Overshield with Shield Throw or a weapon with Repulsor Brace after applying a Void Debuff, this will usually be Void Detonators). Use Throwing Shield for additional Void Detonator application and Overshield, Vortex Grenades for the optimal application and detonation of Void Detonators. There's more to it, but that's the gist.
Absolutely loved the presentation and details of these builds, how and why everything behaves the way it does (and should). I would very much enjoy seeing more build crafting from you in the future!
just an alterative for warlocks who can't stand taking off icarus dash (like me), you can run ember of searing for melee energy on scorched enemy defeats. you won't have perfect uptime forever like with heat rises but it's a pretty good substitute. if you want to play into the fragment more throw on skyburners oath for more consistent up time on your melee. You can also use both searing and heat rises and transition to a hybrid ignition and sunbracers build.
Ember of Searing should refill your melee every time unless something went horribly wrong. The biggest problem with keeping things going is stupid fireteam members killing your melee target right when you use your melee.
Yep, I use Ember of Searing + Mercy to get melee energy back and start my restoration loop. That and momentum transfer is usually enough to fully refund my melee, having outreach on the class item can help out if need be as well. I think that restoration x2 and heat rises is probably better overall, but I really just don't want to lose Icarus Dash if I can help it.
I would say arc synthos is a close second for titan... But with juggernaut instead of touch of thunder. Frontal shield while amplified is almost indestructable, amplified punches string chain lightning and any melee hit starts healing on kills. Shoulder charge melee will one shot yellow bars... Monte Carlo with refund melee energy... one-two punch/grave robber shotgun for damage and ammo refill. With all the artifact mods for arc, it is busted. I've sprinted across entire rooms with a frontal shield to get to an elite or miniboss, shoulder charged or 1-2 punch/shoulder charge it and if it didn't immediately die, it and everything around it is blinded. plus orbs on melee kills. Straight up cracked.
This was epic, AN. I’m a warlock-only player and already use this build, but the way you describe the loop was infinitely better than I’ve seen it described. You went into depth on why, but not so much that it puts people to sleep. The other two class builds were awesome to see and I’m sure Hunter/Titan mains feel the same way I do. Nice job!
For the warlock build it is important to note that if you use incinerator snap first, the ignition proc from the phoenix dive will count as a melee kill, activating sunbraces. This helps trigger the melee kills in end game content. I am not sure if you can activate an ignition by using those 2 abilities with the fragments suggested on this video, but it would be a very small adjustment in any case.
I don't know about other folks, but whenever I'm in a location with a ceiling, I like to throw my grenades upward. The raining splash damage seems to reach further. Not sure if it actually does or if its in my mind that it does.
@@DEEVILin some instances (and with a bit of luck with the lava spit because it is RNG) this does more damage to Bosses than throwing it right at the enemy as the ceiling will kind of make them fall a bit straighter
For sunbracers build nd all ignition builds in general, remeber that ignitions damage for making orbs and generating ability regen perks counts for ether grenade or melee depending which started the combo. Exe. Melee to scorch then grenade to proc ignition, ignition counts as 'melee' damage and vice versa. Personaly i like dawn chorus and spaming supers left and right.
For the hunter build, since you're relying on your grenade for neutral, you can just slot instability instead of vigilance. That way you can proc stylish concistently and use other void weapons. Along with innervation, impact induction and devour you could probably get class returns from grenades/orbs alone, so i would shift tiers away from mobility to recovery, so that you'te not taken out of the fight for too long if you're low/ or if your loop stops
Please do more videos like these! I’ve got thousands of hours into destiny as just a game I play while I watch Netflix/UA-cam/etc and I have 0 knowledge on builds/build crafting. This video is so helpful for me!!
First video of yours I ever saw. You got a subscriber today. Keep up the good work. Make more guides. Great pacing. Great humor. Nothing was cringey. All good stuff man. 10/10.
Loved how clearly explained it is. I think you undersold it a bit in the beginning. I'm an experienced player and main Warlock but never keyed into the restoration side of the sunbracers build. I've also seen huuuuge damage from a grenade with verity's brow, but not sure how to proc that.
Already knew these. Just wanted to support our Crucible Doctor. This is nice concise info. Plunder is typically my go to for builds. But keep cranking these out and I’ll easily retune to you, Doctor.
Another thing to note with Sunbracers, ignitions can actually trigger the effect. As long as the initial stacks of scorch were from incinerator snap, a phoenix dive can proc Sunbracers as the ignition will count as a melee kill
I will add a note to the bonk build: If you're worried about survivability, swap out Synthoceps for Loreley Splendor. The damage will suffer, but you will die less.
If you're doing that bonk Titan build in a team setting you'll get more out of Phoenix Cradle then Synthoceps, the buffs from Sunspots last twice as long and your allies can use them as well. And for where to put your uncharged melee it's not a bad idea to throw it on the same button as finishers.
Another thing about tether, Orpheus refills ability energy when you get tags with your tether, so popping your super, throwing a grenade mid air while the animation is still finishing, will allow you to throw 2-3 grenades in the span of a couple of seconds, it's incredibly good when running volatile rounds for weapons like everyone's favourite purple lemon bow, where wish ender isn't necessary. Ashes to assets should give a similar amount of supeer energy back on kills to that of wish ender so, it's pick your poison really, or whatever suits the champs
That sunbracer build did absolutely make me rethink how that loop works, however personally i would replace ember of resolve with ember of searing, because you basically always have restoration x2 you dont really need the extra cure, and ember of searing grants melee for killing ANY scorched targets and firesprites for you (and your teammates) to get more grenades, you could also put on skyburners, Prometheus, or any incandescent weapon to get your melee back faster by killing scorched targets if you break the loop
An interesting quirk of this build is that if you don’t get the kill of the snap, but DO get an ignition, Sunbracers will proc off the ignition. So if you have Heat Rises up, and the snap isn’t a kill, dive and get the ignite and then begin the burninating. 🙂
I didn't know ignitions could proc SB's, I thought that was the problem with celestial fire, it was ignition kill not a melee kill so doesn't work a lot of the time
@@davidc5170celestial fire has a hard time procing sunbracers Right now they're going to fix it soon. It's mentioned at the very end of the recent armor and ability changes post
I just tried the builds as best as I could put together and I'm very impressed. One thong about the bonk build is I personally found the wormhods carress gauntlets seem to work better for me and I didnt have to mess with my controller button settings. The warlock build is delightfully -redonculus- and had me howling with joy. 😁🔥
You can get a kill with an incinerator-snap induced Ignition too. If you land all bolts, the enemy exploiding will proc Sunbracers if they didn’t have any scorch beforehand. Apparently Ignitions come from the source that first applied scorch, so if you nick an enemy, but then pump them full of Scorch, they *might* activate Sunbracers.
Saw hunter, was expecting another gryfalcons, got slapped with orpheus rig. I was there during the days of unlimited orpheus super energy, and nomad, let me be the first (or not) to say you have warmed my heart. Thank you for showing those wacky arrow pants some love
For controller players trying to figure out how to change the melee button when there's not enough buttons: turn all of your emotes to Hold on the D-pad, frees the D-pad up for some more niche options like switching ammo types, inspecting someone, (this is forced bound to hold tho so you will emote when pulling up the inspect menu) and finishers (last one is kinda preference)
for the sunbracers build, replace ember of torches with the one that states that your class ability recharges faster when you scorch targets. the survivability is so much better, and you don't really need radiant that much when your nades are doing most of the killing. plus more discipline :)
Happy for these build videos. All of them are builds I have not exactly made, 2 I've done slight variances of but would refine to meet these details. One I haven't even thought of to attempt, that being the Hunter Bow build. Keep these coming as they look very fun!
As a bonus on hammer Titan, once you have roaring flames up, you can use regular punch melee for better tracking and without the risk of losing your hammer. You'll do slightly less damage, but roaring flames also gives your regular punches solar damage, so you'll create sunspots on kill and keep roaring flames up. If you lose your hammer this also works, as sunspots also give you ability regen. Hammer for big enemy, fire punch for small. Do trick.
I havent even watched the full video yet and I am GIDDY to watch the rest. Ive got a friend im introducing to D2 and this is going to be a FANTASTIC video to send them, thank you so much!!!
Keep in mind for large stationary bosses like Riven, you'll do large burst DPS with Sunbracers by throwing the Solar Grenades above the target and raining down the blobs onto the boss.
For sunbracers, I do the fragments that give melee energy on scorched target kill, class ability energy on scorch, grenade heal, then heal on firesprite. I have played with both heat rises and icarus dash, I love heat rises, but icarus dash is really fun. I may have to play with this variation though.
neat trick for the sunbracers; with heat rises active your phoenix dive will ignite ANY target with ANY amount of scorch and that ignition will count as whatever caused the scorch TLDR: incinerator snap into heat rises phoenix dive will kill 100% of red bar enemies through the ignition and proc sunbracers (just make sure the scorch is from snap or nothing will happen)
This was an amazing video to watch. Not only did you say what, but you explained WHY, and HOW. I really loved how you set it up and it sold me on subscribing! Can't wait to see next. Quick favor, can you build one for Strand for the Warlock? I'd really appreciate that one!
Here’s some tips I found while using the Warlock Build: Spec into Resilience/Strength if possible. Having your melee up is always paramount Use Phoenix Dive to proc sun bracers. Since the dive only applies scorch stacks, if your melee doesn’t cause an ignition or kill, dive to cause one and the kill from the ignition will count as a melee kill, and proc restoration. The loop is now Heat rises > Melee > Dive, Infinite Nades while airborne. Add on Skyburners, Sunshot or Prometheus Lens for even more scorch.
On the Sunbracer's Build. You don't really need Heat Rising if you have Ember of Searing (Which you already should) and Ember of Char, they as long as you scorch targets and then kill them, which Solar 'nades do, you're getting HUGE chunks of melee energy back. This is a great add clearing set up. Especially for soloing just about everything. But Heat Rising is good, for the mobility boost that just being aerial gives. But replacing it with Touch Of Flame means more damage when the Solar Grenades starts blobbing, and more damage means more scorch means more dead enemies means you already have Melee back and you can loop away!
Stuff for all the above! Orpheus Rigs will actually refund your neutral game abilities by 10% per target hit by the deadfall tethers. Commonly missed, this means your act of firing the tether gives you the grenade in this case, or whatever else you're doing. You can see it happen at 3:06. Easy to miss next to the super regen. Titans! Please ***do*** base melee actually. I feel everyone kinda misses a secondary thing that occurs when you have Roaring Flames: your uncharged fisticuffs count as Charged melees and will give orb effects. You can see this happen at 11:55, during the whole 'turn off auto-melee' bit. Not only that, but your fists apply 30 scorch stacks on hit, or 40 with Ember of Ashes. That's 4/3 melees and you have an ignition. Not only that, but you'll trigger the firesprite generation (scorched enemy kill) and help restore the hammer. Oh, and the ignitions this causes? As they're from your melee, not only will roaring flames apply, but synthoceps' melee boost will too :) Warlocks! Same as above, you can salvage a bad melee snap if you're clever. Sometimes you hit a tougher foe, and it doesn't die. Don't panic! Because your melee went out first, if you do the Phoenix Dive to combo into an ignition it will inherit the melee designation when the target ignites. If that then kills Anything at all, sunbracers will become Ready and good to go :)
For sun-bracers I would highly recommend dropping torches for searing and solace for mercy. This allows you to use impact induction, searing and if you really struggle a puglist incandescent weapon to get your melee back. Then you can drop heat rises for Icarus dash for the mobility. Makes the build loop better and swapping out those fragments means better restoration uptime. Edit: drop resolve for mercy not solace. And if you do drop heat rises got to healing/empowering rift instead of phoenix dive
Back in season of the Haunted to Seraph, I ran that Sunbracers build. I could pair it with Daybreak instead of Well, and I would get my super back in about 30 seconds, as long as most of my kills were with grenades, and there were enough enemies. Keep in mind, during that time Daybreak had a 10 minute cooldown, the longest in the game. Sunbracers have been in my inventory nearly all the time since
Love the builds. Here's my nearly unkillable Warlock Void build Exotic Armour: Controverse Hold Exotic Weapons: Witherhoard or Traveller's Chosen. Short of those, a seasonally appropriate void weapon with demolitionist. Stats to prioritize: Resil, Discipline. Duh Helmet: Ashes to Assets, Arms: Firepower, Font of Focus Chest: Charged up, and appropriate resistances Legs: Stacks on stacks, and Surges as needed. Bond: bomber, Time Dialation Class setup: Novabomb of choice (I like vortex) Vortex Grenade Healing Rift Aspects: Chaos Accelerant, Feed the Void Fragments: Undermining, Remnants, Persistence, and Instability The loop: Pull out Traveller's Chosen. Overcharge grenade and throw it into a pile of ads. They get sucked in, weakened, and killed. You get devour, and you Traveller's Chosen is now void from the grenade throw, and gets volatile. Controverse Hold procs after about a second, giving you around 50% of your grenade energy back, and either your void demo weapon, or Traveller's Chosen can top you up so fast, your extended Vortex grenade won't be gone before you have another one. Echo of Remnants means you Vortex grenade will tick long enough against Bosses to proc Controvers TWICE. Do as Shaxx says, and keep throwing (charged) grenades. Grenade kills will reset the Devour timer instantly refilling your health, give you super energy AND orbs. Orbs give you Charges/Surges. Repeat.
I know I’m late to this video but Orpheus also gives grenade energy per enemy tethered. So the optimal play is grenade>tether> grenade. Pair this with boosted duration vortex nades, ashes to assets, dynamo, and even echo of reprisal for extra super on close range kills. Void hunter is also the best pairing for a phoenix protocol warlock as you crap out an insane amount of orbs. The only this that really kills this combo is unstoppable ogre stomps in GMs
Bit of a tip for void hunter devour is broken, get a weapon with distablising rounds there is an aspect that works within this to grant more or less a full health bar, also a great bow to use is le mionique
Tarrabah also works really well for generating super energy, when in ravenous beast form and hitting bosses your super bar fills incredibly quickly. You can easily get 50% in one ravenous beast proc
When i started destiny, i picked titan thinking it’d be fun to bash my way through everything and stay alive. Over time, i picked solar as my main and sorta developed the exact build you explained, with no guidance whatsoever… extremely fun, restoration resilience is broken
There is a very useful trick to reliably proc Sunbracers: Pop Heat Rises, jump, incinerator snap then INSTANTLY Phoenix Dive. The combination of scorch from both sources guarantees an ignition and the game will recognize the kills as coming from the Snap so you will always proc Sunbracers
Really enjoyed your video, got my sub! Look forward to more of your content. Im a Hunter main, my favourite builds are Gyrfalcons/omni for void, liars/cowl for arc and lucky pants/stompies/stareaters for all sub classes. Looking to chew on some crayons and read some books now the seasons coming to an end so I’ll be refining my bonk and sun tan with your help, thanks again! ✌️
Fun fact with sunbracers, if you dont kill the target with your incinerator snap, try to get that target to ignite, quickly after, if the ignition kills them it will still activate your sunbracers
For sun bracers run max recovery and resilience. You do not need max dicipline, keep your nade stat at 30 (no less) and split the rest of your stats with strength and intellect.
once you get comfortable with the bonk swap sol Invictus for consecration. you can now treat everything like a add, barriers, overload, unstop just poof gone(does take proper stack management and is way squishy compared to pure bonk) but who needs healing when you kill everything with ONE MIGHTY HAMMER BLOW.
I like to use severance enclosure in the bonk build. Less damage to single targets, but bonk boom clears adds like nobody's business. Just chuck nades at the bigger baddies and let grenade kills cure you
For the Sunbracers build you can actually not use heat rises and instead use the searing aspect for melee energy an firesprite generation. combo this with an incandescent weapon and you can easily get melee energy back with every kill you get while also staying safer by nor being mid air
Another for void hunters is essentially the exact same setup for the aspects/fragments, but you're swapping Orpheus Rigs for Gyrfalcon's Hauberk and using a void weapon, be it a good void primary like Funnelweb, Graviton Lance, Collective Obligation, a good void trace rifle like Ruinous Effigy, or a good void machine gun like Commemoration, Corrective Measure, or Retrofit Escapade to a lesser degree. Volatile is extremely strong when you're able to consistently chain it, and nothing in the game grants volatile with anywhere near the ease, consistency, or uptime as Gyrfalcon's Hauberk. You can pop barrier champions, and become an add clear god
For ALL of these builds, especially the Hunter since you need orbs for Devour, MAKE SURE you have an armor mod on that consumes armor charge. If you do not do this, any time you have a full super, you will not pick up any of your orbs. You will not get devour, and all those orb generating mods and isulation, absolution etc mods have become completely useless. I recommend at least one Kinetic Surge on the Hunter build for an even more juiced Wish-ender. Melee kickstart may seem redundant on the Warlock build, but it’s very useful for those situations when you can’t get in the air in time or have messed the loop up in some way, like when playing together with teammates who also love killing things 😂
Something you forgot to mention is that orpheus rigs gives 10% per tethered enemy to all of your abilities. In GMs where there’s a lot of adds to justify using the build you can pretty consistently spam extra nades as well proccing ashes to assets further boosting that regen post 50% refund.
You dont need discipline on sunbracers warlock. Since mele kills gives you grenades immediately that defeats discipline. Therefore you need 100 strength for mele recharge for the cases which you have no other ability energy to porc your other buffs.
For warlocks: you dont need ember of resolve restoration x2 heals you plenty. Instead run ember of ashes for the ignitions off the melee. When fired off at close ramge the snap will ignite chunkier enemies, if it doesnt kill them the ignition may kill nearby ads procing sunbracers. You also dont need the longer radiant and restoration timers as with or without that fragment the timer only goes to 12 seconds max run singeing instead. Also prioritize strength not discipline
One thing I have to point out is the fragments are a bit flexible For instance, some choose to swap out one Fragment for ember of ashes most commonly resolve
For the sunbracers build you can use Icarus dash (it’s better) and use double or even a single momentum transfer mod, plus things like invigoration as another option but for the fragments please use ember of ashes, resolve, searing and mercy, they’re so much more better
@AscendantNomad These builds are absolutely great for newer players but another broken build for Void hunters would have to be Gearfalcyons Hauberk with Graviton Lance it requires little setup and even someone like me who has crafted many builds cannot put down this little kit
UPDATE: As of Patch 7.2.0.1, they have corrected the Wish Ender super energy bug. It's still a good build but you won't get super fast tethers anymore. RIP.
So now when the Wish Ender is no longer a base of this build can I use any other Bow with the same result? Like Le Mon or basicly any other weapon?
To add to this, I’ve seen that Hierarchy of needs now gets oodles of super when you shoot through the ring, might be worth a second look
The bonk built is so powerful, until you accidentally throw your hammer off the map. Then you have a new build, the waiting game.
@SuicideRabbit also, people need to realize that they don't need to throw the hammer at every last target, you can refresh and build roaring flame stacks with any regular melee kill once you have a single stack rolling.
thats why we have monte carlo
Heavy handed + melee kickstart + at least one stack of roaring flames and you’re golden
Just stand in a sunspot
Tiny little tip regarding sunbracers build:
You actually have more time to start throwing than I think was implied by your wording.
You get 4 seconds of "sunbracers ready" first. During which, you can throw your first grenade at any time to start the regen buff. A different timer will start and you can still get the whole timer for sunbracers.
I was going to say this.
For sunbracrs you DO NOT need to prioritize discipline as a stat. You can if you want but strength and recovery are much more valuable imo.
Actually I think higher discipline increases the amount of names you can throw in the 6 second time frame.
Ya i run max resil recov and strength
No no no. Do not run high discipline when running a ‘bracers build. 10 recov, 10 resil, and 10 int are the best for this build.
@@Uchoobdood no way u said int u make so many orbs with nades anyway strength is so much more useful
@@hasbeennot4077 nop ur wrong the nade regen buff is scaled to the T3 disciple times 200 (stats are from the compendium)

LOVE to see you expanding into PVE content Nomad! Hope more will be made in the future.
true, any way to get more nomad voice is great
Finally, the fact that Nightstalker pairs best with Bows is becoming more widely known lmao
Important tip about Orpheus Rig from a seasoned 'Stalker, though, it doesn’t just refill your Super Bar to 50% when tethering enemies, but also gives chunks of energy to your other abilites every time it snags a target, with no maximum energy cap. Helps offload some of the cooldown costs from the beefier Void Fragments like Undermining. Great stuff otherwise, as always, Nomad!
This. I either use Orphies or Gyrfalcons for void hunter its so good.
But solar hunter with tripmines just makes things go boom.. especially with the gunpowder buff making it two fragments
>the fact that Nightstalker pairs best with bows
I'd love to hear more about this.
As for the breaking stealth, that's right! I totally forgot. Ever since void 3.0 _and especially_ some exotics releasing _(ex Gyrfalcons)_ I've had no problem getting stealth on demand, which reduced the need to maintain stealth without breaking it. But maybe I'm not seeing the full power of the interaction 🤯
Thanks again for replying!
Not exactly necessary but it makes getting that initial melee energy much easier
at 10:34 "In case I yeet one into the stratosphere". As a Titan main, I felt it. Made me genuinely laugh out loud.
Is there a way to get more burst damage on this?
Fantastic explanations of these builds. I think the builds guide videos fit your style very well. If you end up doing more I'm sure they'll be great.
2.5k OFF LET'S GET IT ASCENDANT
Edit: This may be a hot take, but Verity's Brow Repulsor Brace Voidlock builds are stronger than sunbracers.
Nice job!
Yup.
Thanks
Thank you for this!
With the fragment to get more scorch stacks in general incinerator snap will ignite a target itself if enough of the sparks hit a single target
@@DEEVILin some instances (and with a bit of luck with the lava spit because it is RNG) this does more damage to Bosses than throwing it right at the enemy as the ceiling will kind of make them fall a bit straighter
If you look at the feet of an enemy and then use your snap, it’ll proc the ignition every time
For sunbracers build nd all ignition builds in general, remeber that ignitions damage for making orbs and generating ability regen perks counts for ether grenade or melee depending which started the combo. Exe. Melee to scorch then grenade to proc ignition, ignition counts as 'melee' damage and vice versa. Personaly i like dawn chorus and spaming supers left and right.
You forgot to mention, the Ignite from Phoenix dive will activate subracers if scorched from the melee, letting you proc it on heavier health enemies.
To note though recovery doesnt matter too much when you have a consistent devour loop procced
Plunder is amazing at this, I have a lot to learn from him. Hope I can live up to those standards.
@@AscendantNomad show us the path! We’ll be here.
Another thing to note with Sunbracers, ignitions can actually trigger the effect. As long as the initial stacks of scorch were from incinerator snap, a phoenix dive can proc Sunbracers as the ignition will count as a melee kill
I will add a note to the bonk build:
If you're worried about survivability, swap out Synthoceps for Loreley Splendor.
The sun racers build made me less sad about starfire protocol. Thank you.
THANK YOU! I got 3 new toys to play with and please continue the build videos. Maybe add a stasis and strand side of things next?
This is actually perfect for referring new players as an introduction to build crafting. I may have to send this to a few friends.
I may have to play with this variation though.
neat trick for the sunbracers; with heat rises active your phoenix dive will ignite ANY target with ANY amount of scorch and that ignition will count as whatever caused the scorch
TLDR: incinerator snap into heat rises phoenix dive will kill 100% of red bar enemies through the ignition and proc sunbracers (just make sure the scorch is from snap or nothing will happen)
This was an amazing video to watch. Not only did you say what, but you explained WHY, and HOW. I really loved how you set it up and it sold me on subscribing! Can't wait to see next. Quick favor, can you build one for Strand for the Warlock? I'd really appreciate that one!
Here’s some tips I found while using the Warlock Build:
Spec into Resilience/Strength if possible. Having your melee up is always paramount
Use Phoenix Dive to proc sun bracers.
As they're from your melee, not only will roaring flames apply, but synthoceps' melee boost will too :)
Warlocks!
Well done Ascendant Nomad! Learned a couple new tricks to use when I get back from my normal summer Destiny break!
Sunbracers have been in my inventory nearly all the time since
Keep doing build videos! I love them and you make them really well!
You my friend earned yourself a sub thank you I been struggling getting my light level up from a hiatus I took from the game
Love the builds.
Here's my nearly unkillable Warlock Void build
Exotic Armour: Controverse Hold
Exotic Weapons: Witherhoard or Traveller's Chosen. Short of those, a seasonally appropriate void weapon with demolitionist.
Stats to prioritize: Resil, Discipline. Duh
Helmet: Ashes to Assets,
Arms: Firepower, Font of Focus
Chest: Charged up, and appropriate resistances
Legs: Stacks on stacks, and Surges as needed.
Bond: bomber, Time Dialation
Class setup:
Novabomb of choice (I like vortex)
Vortex Grenade
Healing Rift
Aspects: Chaos Accelerant, Feed the Void
Fragments: Undermining, Remnants, Persistence, and Instability
The loop:
Pull out Traveller's Chosen.
Repeat.
randomly matched you in trials two weeks ago was the fastest round i ever had thanks man
Well that was an amazing descriptive breakdown, congrats mate awesome video.
Awesome!! You explain the builds so clearly!! Thank you!!
Great touch on the choice of music for the warlock section, what with the snaps. :D
Bit of a tip for void hunter devour is broken, get a weapon with distablising rounds there is an aspect that works within this to grant more or less a full health bar, also a great bow to use is le mionique
Yup, mentioned in the video!
Tarrabah also works really well for generating super energy, when in ravenous beast form and hitting bosses your super bar fills incredibly quickly. You can easily get 50% in one ravenous beast proc
That restoration x2 brings my happy memories back I had with pre-nerf Loreley
When i started destiny, i picked titan thinking it’d be fun to bash my way through everything and stay alive. Over time, i picked solar as my main and sorta developed the exact build you explained, with no guidance whatsoever… extremely fun, restoration resilience is broken
Nice simple builds, I still have yet to do the wishender quest, might be on the list of to-dos this week.
Will definitely play around with these. I’ve done variations but it’s always fun to experiment
if you ran ashes you can do the ACTUAL loop. consume nade, jump snap and phoenix dive you get a guaranteed ignition that will proc sunbracers.
There is a very useful trick to reliably proc Sunbracers:
Pop Heat Rises, jump, incinerator snap then INSTANTLY Phoenix Dive. The combination of scorch from both sources guarantees an ignition and the game will recognize the kills as coming from the Snap so you will always proc Sunbracers
brilliant explanation on all builds
Fantastic video. Really helped to understand the loop. Cheers.
Awesome vid, great info. Thank you so much. Saved and subscribed.
I can't believe I overlooked heat rises on my surrender build.
Great video and laid out very well...nice work Nomad!
once you get comfortable with the bonk swap sol Invictus for consecration. you can now treat everything like a add, barriers, overload, unstop just poof gone(does take proper stack management and is way squishy compared to pure bonk) but who needs healing when you kill everything with ONE MIGHTY HAMMER BLOW.
Been red arms decoding for 3 weeks finally got subbracers from the goat xur. Put this build together and it’s a beast
I like to use severance enclosure in the bonk build. Less damage to single targets, but bonk boom clears adds like nobody's business. Just chuck nades at the bigger baddies and let grenade kills cure you
Excellent video and well done! Learned a kot as a veteran
Been playing for donkey's years and I learned something new today. Nicely done as always. Thanks!
For the Sunbracers build you can actually not use heat rises and instead use the searing aspect for melee energy an firesprite generation. combo this with an incandescent weapon and you can easily get melee energy back with every kill you get while also staying safer by nor being mid air
Great video, please do more builds!
Oh and the sunshot hand cannon works well with the sunbreaker build as well. 😁🔥
Something you forgot to mention is that orpheus rigs gives 10% per tethered enemy to all of your abilities. In GMs where there’s a lot of adds to justify using the build you can pretty consistently spam extra nades as well proccing ashes to assets further boosting that regen post 50% refund.
The other melee is also usable and although it has more range, it's scorch may kill the enemy instead of the melee itself
Legit didn't even think of Wish-Ender with Orpheus Rig! Great Vid!
Tested the Titan loadout and solo'd Prophecy. Thank you.
For Titans, Heart of Inmost Light is also another must have exotic. That and SYNTHOCEPS are the only exotics worth using.
One thing I have to point out is the fragments are a bit flexible For instance, some choose to swap out one Fragment for ember of ashes most commonly resolve
fascinating ideas, thank you for the vid!
Very good and well explained
Love this video and please do make more builds
