Good to see Maxxis' tape measure is still broken..... Thanks for the video.

For real, that is true most tire manufacturers though. Best one is how a Michelin Pro 4 Service course in a 25mm is virtually the same size as the same tire in a 28mm

I ride a 2017 Fuel EX-8 27.5+. Hated the Chupacabras. Tried DHF/DHRII and loved the grip but hated the weight for climbing and rolling resistance. Went with the Rekons and love them. Feel they are a good mix of grip and rolling resistance for my ST trail riding here in the Northeast.

I have a 2017 Fuel EX 7 29er. Great bike but I’ve decided to put 27.5’s on instead. Got a DHF for front and Rekon for rear, both 2.6, so hopefully I’m as happy with the results as you.

Do you think dhr ii 27.5 X 2,80 has the same wide like the rekon ? Very helpful review.

Nice review. Do you think they would be too squared off if mounted to a 50mm rim?

Great review 👍. What are they like to ride? Especially the rolling resistance. I have Maxxis HR2 plus. Amazing tyres. The grip is just amazing but the drag is killing me so looking for something that grips well but rolls a lot quicker 👍

I’ve just bought a highroller 2 2.8 for the front tyre of my Scott spark plus that came with rekon +. Is the HR 2 plus really that bad rolling resistance? I haven’t fitted it yet. I felt I needed something with more grip than the rekon for the front after a nasty front wheel wash out and some close calls. Seems like it loses grip when you least want it to.

Hi Im currently using the same tire but skin wall version front and rear. How do you compare it to a dhr2 2.4? It was my favorite tire together with the dhf 2.5 upfront, but really hate the drag when climbing. Did you also feel it? Which one the do you prefer?
The life on this rekons are quite short i guess?

I have Giant Anthem 27,5 and my stock tires are 2.25. Rims: Giant S-XC 27.5
    Hubs: Giant S-XC [F] 15mm [R] 135mm QR, 6 bolt discs.
What is the fattest tire I can get on that ? What is the rule ?

hi im building a Trek Fuel EX and it comes factory with Schwallbe 27.5 by 2.8 Nobby Nics and I was wondering if you happen to have a Schwallbe Magic mary in a 27.5 by 2.8 to try on that 40mm internal rims. and see what the actual measurement is. I will be running bontrager pro line 40 carbon rims with an internal measurement of 41 mm. the stock rims are only 30 mm with the 2.8 so I really like the magic mary tires but i cant seem to find anyone with this combination any help you could give me would be great. just want to be sure before i spend alot on tires.
