Really enjoyed the tranquillity of your video and the scenery. One of our favourite fells, and possibly the only one we've done twice. We love the Lakes District and I always enjoy discovering another channel to watch and learn from. Well done, regards, Ashley
Thanks Ashley, so pleased to hear you enjoyed the video - thanks for coming along with me on the hike! I can see why it’s one of your favourite fells, very beautiful 💛
Another walk on my list that I've now done from my sofa! The scenery is great, we can see that with our eyes, but it's even better when the presenter (you) highlights the things you enjoy... sun patches, distant features, post walk cake etc. Makes it feel like a tag-along and worth subscribing to see another day out. There are many walks to do in the Lake District, so I'll suggest an impromptu one I enjoyed last Autumn with roaring stags. Hartsop > Hayeswater > Angle Tarn > Boredale Hause > Hartsop. Good luck with the channel.
Thank you Jason, so lovely to hear you enjoyed the video & felt like you were tagging along virtually! It's a beautiful route from Grasmere, great variety & perfect to end back in the village for some well earned cake & tea! Ooo I haven't done that one yet, will add it to my list to do next time I visit, thank you 🫶🏻 hope you have a lovely weekend :)
Thank you so much Phil :) Yes, very lucky with the weather, couldn't believe how beautiful it was when the sunbeams crossed over the neighbouring mountains!
Thanks Ian 😊 It's a great walk to do & glad to hear you've done it previously, not sure where it's name originates from but yes, great craggy summit to enjoy!
I can only imagine - this video was shot in our winter & no snow in sight! I'm yet to visit Sweden but imagine it has equally beautiful landscapes. Thanks Nicklas for the kind words, glad you enjoyed the video :)
Thanks Nicola, hope you enjoy the walk next week - it's a beautiful route to do from Grasmere and can be extended if you fancy exploring Easedale Tarn too (weather permitting!) 💛😊
Looks a lovely walk Christine, have added it to my list. I often stay over night in the centre of grasmere in my little camper van, love it there. Alcock tarn is another great walk from the village 😀😀
Yes, definitely recommend & you can easily extend it, to include Easedale Tarn as I've heard that's lovely too! That sounds so nice, Grasmere is a beautiful base & will have to add Alcock Tarn to my list for later this year as haven't explored there yet! Thank you 😊💛
@@shefreelyroams you are welcome. I have been working out a road trip for me and my dog coming in to Belfast. Up to Giants Causeway and down the west coast. After taking in to account food, fuel, accommodation it's just way too much money. Shame as my grandad is from Ireland and I so want to go there
@@Muddipaws1308 never been to Ireland but want to, I really hope you manage to find a way to make the trip 🤞🏻 sounds like it would be amazing if you could make it work 💛
Thank you, it's a beautiful part of the lakes & oh no, it looked worse underfoot than it was in reality, felt comfortable having my hands tucked away! 😊
Apologies for a late response but only just came across the channel. Could there be a better day for it? For me those days are better than the hot summer days. The views and the colours of the fells were really something. The walk can be extended with little effort by continuing onto Gibson Knott.
No need to apologise, happy to hear you found the video & enjoyed! I agree, the moody weather just brings something special to the Lakes & yes hoping one day to do that and along to Easedale Tarn before returning back to Grasmere 😊
Thanks Paul, really lovely to hear that 😊 I don't tend to on my UA-cam videos (yet) but hoping to set up a blog in the next month so can share my favourite places to stay/routes on that, so watch this space I guess!
@@shefreelyroams thanks Christine. You’ve really inspired me and given me more confidence to walk alone. Keep the videos coming and keep enjoying the walks 😊

You need some gingerbread and a nice cuppa
Most definitely, the gingerbread shop in Grasmere was sadly shut when I got back! Managed to grab a cake and cuppa at another cafe though ☺️
