Nemo Tunnel

- If you're not familiar, Nemo Tunnel is a popular destination for those visiting Windrock Park. It's roughly 30-40 minutes from the park on hwy 62. What Nemo Tunnel is, is an old train tunnel that is no longer in service. The rails and ties have been pulled up, and as you'll see near the end of this vid, a new set of tracks and a new tunnel are now in use. I don't know when the tunnel was built or how long it's been out of service, but it's pretty cool. Once through the tunnel, you can go beside the tracks for a little ways and find an off shoot down to the river. Really nice spot and there were some folks camping down there at the time we went. Heading out, you can go back the way you came, or take a decent road back out to the blacktop, where you'll go by a couple rock faces which are great spots for pics if you're "doing it for the gram", LOL! All in all, nice thing to see ONCE. #nemotunnel

I think it's (almost) 1/2 mile. It's pretty cool. Worth the drive over from Windrock.👍🏻
How long is that tunnel?
I can't remember where exactly, but I (THINK) I read somewhere that it's around 2200 feet long, 20 ft high and 15 ft wide. I'd think that would be REAL close.
Looks like the aroma of swamp ass would be bad in the tunnel, lol. I need to make the time and find the money for more Jeep adventures.
