I’m not really sure how that solves the problem because if you’re switching out the filament, you still have to reach around to the back to feed the filament up through the PTFE tube so you still have to access the back to switch the filament out right
Run a bit longer piece of tpfe tube to the side, or relocate the tube from the back altogether.
You can put a scrap piece of filament in the sensor and feed the filament through a holder and into the extruder
You can print a mount for the sensor to go on the side as well, there are a few models on Printables. It is unfortunate this printer requires so much modding to reach its full potential but I guess that's Creality for you
Okay kak I think
Hey! Attach a filament dryer with a Teflon tube. That means you can literally place the dryer with the plastic anywhere and dry the plastic as well while printing. It’s what I do.
Great solution for the position of the spool but what a pain in the ass to feed filament in the back of the printer
Gotta love it when they point out a model that fixes their problem for them. Why didn’t Creality just design it with the spool holder in a not-bad place.
My biggest complaint is printing on the left makes the "chain" bang the lid. And I know there are free risers available to print to solve the issue, but I feel like that should have been caught somewhere in the prototype phase.
I Defo feel like they knew about it but wanted to rush the product out. They have since released new hotends and extruders to fix other problems which I feel should of been caught at that stage too
Classic Creality designing stuff to be just good enough, but not quite there. its 80% done when you buy it the last 20% you have to do xD
Im sure all the internet scientist have already mentioned this but if you throw a longer PTFE tube on that filament sensor, you dont have to reach in the back ever again. Showed Joy and Sabrina from Creality this trick before ERRF. ;)
This is the one I use. There’s hundreds of others that attach using the screws on the side panel but I wanted something that came off easily. There’s even some that fold into the wall
$500 printer without a viable spool holder is laughable
If you're paying $500 you're not looking hard enough. $379 on sale at MicroCenter.
This is the norm for modern Core XY printers. Creality, Bambu, Qidi, etc put the filament holder and feeder on the back. Fortunately there are mods for most, if not all of these machines/brands to fix the issue.
@@lauracarr4091yeah
Just put the spool holder on the front
Im sorry but how is this a great solution you still have to turn the printer to feed the filament into the boden tube, unless you re extremely good with holes 😅
still a shitty solution - there are screw holes for the side panels, they could have at least desiged a model, that screws into those and also brings the infeed PTFE tube to the side
That’s a major flaw having the tube run out the back. That’s the final nail in the coffin for me not ordering one now. Sad because I was really hoping to get it but I’m not turning around my printer every time I need to load filament. Such a pain in the ass 😒
It's not. There's many easy solutions. Stop being bad at life and you'll do fine. It prints like a prusa.
Can’t say I’m the most impressed with their response here…. K1 is nice, but Bambu is the way to go.
Bambu has the same issue if you don’t have an AMS. The spool is in the back and they also have 3D printed solutions for an issue they could have solved with 2mins of engineering.
@@MiguelRodriguez2010 your right. It does frustrate me as well that these 3D printing manufacturers are choosing form over function 😣
Yeah bambu is the way to go if you want the CCP to steal all your designs and then go to prison for violating ITAR
Bambu is spyware
There's a better model that screws into the side but you'll need longer screws.
Good muito legal o seu canal.
They copy everything from Bambu Lab, the k1 was my first printer, now i got the p1S .. pay more for a better quality
Now that you have both k1 and x1, which do you like more?
Link?
What filament is the Benchy made out of?
Silk Pla either duo or tri colour is my guess
So somebody told you to search the internet for spool holder model? Oh you seem like a pro 3d print guy. You definitely need to make some videos with such a knowledge
