Larry cracks me up when he laughs. His lower jaw moves like a wind-up chattering skull.
That is the best description😂😂
Or reminds me of a puppet laughing haha 😂
Such a good analogy. True! 😂
I've heard it described as a nutcracker
Thats what Bill Hader said...
I love that Larry was already berating people back in his early standup days.
Larry David berating the crowd for not laughing at his joke is the most Larry David thing ever
Lol!
I love how joyous the laughing is in the lead-up before Larry even gets to the joke. 😂
I have no idea why, but in my country we call uncontrollable laughter that prevents you from speaking properly a "teaspoon state".
I will update that it seems the etymology refers to one's mental state when they're so out of it (such as being very drunk sleep deprived) that even hearing a random word such as "teaspoon" could send them laughing.
@@TLguitarteaspoon state: when you’ve had too much heroin to talk
Imagine someone actually having an audio clip of Larry’s rant at SNL because it was so close to air time that the cameras and microphones were already recording.
That would be like the deranged hillbilly that left a voice message on Mike Judge’s answering machine, which he later used as the inspiration for Boomhauer 😂. That voice message recently came to light.
A
"That's it. This is it. I'm done! Through! It's over! I'm gone! Finished! Over! I will never work for you again! Look at you (chuckle)! You think you're an important man, is that what you think? You are a laughingstock. You are a joke. These people are laughing at you! You're nothing! You have no brains, no ability, nothing! I quit."
Like all those Orson Welles meltdowns.
Larry cracking up in the beginning must be like the set of Curb all day lol
I fully speak French and still didn't get the "tu form" joke, because I was reading it as "to", until he explained that it was about grammar 😭
I heard it as 2 form lol
@@EddieFivespeed🤡
It’s a Latin joke… like who is that even for lmao
@@SteveMarzo-ti7fy People in New York know basic Spanish...Its an insanely big melting pot. So it would definitely work in NY clubs where Larry performed.
@@jsmithers. ah true
Larry doing that joke as a mostly unknown comic must have bombed A LOT.
Deepest appreciation for Larry. Lights up the world with laughter. Comedic Genius. Never needed more than now. Rewatch all past episodes, they’re as new!
This man is Larry David in real life, just hearing him talk feels like a Curb episode
I think you're onto something there!
He is so talented writer and creator that it is unbelievable.
@@juhaj.5616meh, he’s no conan
I wish this conversation would never end
i think the best part of this is imagining Larry trying to tell you he can't take a photo with you and then bursts out laughing in your face. then walks away.
Conan making LD (of all people) laugh without doing anything.. = the level conan works at
So amazing. This combo.
I call them barometer jokes. I once saw a touring comedian preform in North Carolina and he opened with a couple of jokes about sister-banging and jesus. Then he kinda did the "pregnant pause" of anticipation while everyone laughed, and then he did his real set, which was all a tightly-written theme. Im frankly not sure what he would have done if he had gotten booed.
Love this show so much but the commercial breaks in the middle are brutal
That's par for course on UA-cam though. Or media in general. There HAS to be ads of some sort. Unless you have extremely clean content you have to do ad reads in the podcast. And even then if you have a staff they have to be paid somehow. I mean, you can't expect all of those people who work there to work for free, right? lol It's so easy to fastforward too. Like it took me 8 clicks of the right arrow key. lol Idk, maybe its becaus I am a 90's kid and am used to commercials that it doesn't bother me as much, because I get it. Nothing is free. People are too used to instant content, ad blockers or apps like tiktok and expect to never see ads when comsuming content. lol The only other option would be paid subscription, and I prefer being able to watch it for free and occasionally having to take a few mere seconds to fast foward through a couple ads. lol
Compared to what. A foot rub

@@ryanmarbut1035 True, over half a billion dollars, annual royalty payments in the tens of millions and multiple fully paid for mansions is not enough to live on, let alone make a studio podcast. Conan needs to be able to afford food, people! Love how profiteering billionaires are constantly defended as if they still need money to feed their families. Conan alone could run a pretty big non-profit business out of his own pocket at this point without seeing a dent in his many bank accounts, as the interest he earns alone on his personal wealth is more than most regular businesses earn annually. He could be spending his life now doing immense good around the world without relying on anyone else at all if he wanted to - he could certainly fund a podcast all by himself, and it's not like someone like Conan couldn't do that to a pretty successful, popular and profitable degree without corporate pandering. He should be doing something far more valuable for society at this point frankly than sitting in a studio advertising big businesses and just patting the extremely wealthy of Hollywood on the back telling each other how amazing and genius they are...
I wish Larry David a long and (reasonably) happy life, but we all know his epitaph will be "Let me stop you right there..."
Another one would be “Lemme ask you a question”😂
Genuine red faced laughter! Don't give each other a stroke! 😃
LD is a national treasure.
No he isn't. Stop simpn for men

No he isnt
@@allend5399There there. It's okay. You're okay.

tu = you (informal) sorta like "you fellas"
vous = you (formal) sorta like "you fine people"
I took Spanish but never heard it called "tu form", even though it has the same concept with tu,/usted, or vosotros/ustedes. Therefore, I didn't have a clue what he was saying in his joke. It was just called informal/formal.
I might have understood the joke if he did the German, sie or du, but probably not.
It’s a smart joke, and even though I took French he didn’t bother to pronounce it right or make the premise clear so it went over my head :/
Solid opener though
Classical Latin did not have a formal ‘you’ form either. That appears to have been a later invention!
Curiously, English did have a formal ‘you’ form: ‘You’ (lit. ‘you’ plural). The informal form was ‘thou’ (lit ‘you’ singular) but this fell out of fashion during urbanization.
Yes, there is a French verb 'tutoyer' that is literally used to ask if you may use the informal 'tu' form w/ someone. I got the joke. 😊😅
Larry told that indoor/outdoor pictures thing on Conan's old show.
This has to be my most anticipated episode ever!my two

So much great fun, all !!!
My Dad is a Latin Scholar and a Medieval theologian and I called him and told him the joke and he was howling
Wow medieval theologian. Your dad must have been a thousand years old when you were born :)
@@j.gregory6478 I’m 90% sure that this is a joke, but to clarify for others who might be reading, he’s a scholar in Medieval Theology, not a theologian from the Middle Ages😊
Larry starting to laugh is already gold lmao
This is great 😂😂😂
I am so glad to see Larry just truly laugh...how great!
Based on his joke, I totally can see how Larry struggled in the comedy clubs for a very long time.
A lot of comedians use the strange method of expecting people to read their minds to get laughs. Like if the joke isn't set up, most people aren't going to invest the effort to think of all the possible permutations. That's why Larry does better with writing.
Larry is true tu form
The King of Avoidance! A true inspiration! 😂
"Let me stop you right there." lol
Conan: Untethered is so good. Lol this podcast is amazing
He said the same picture thing on Conan 4 years ago 😂
I don't think I have laughed at a certain laugh more than I have at Larry David's, lol.
I love that they were already laughing befor he told the joke😂😂😂😂
Larry losing it is everything! 😂😂😂
Larry and Conan are the funniest two guys ever
What a comedy legend. Just Curb is pure beauty.
I have never seen Larry crack up that hard what an amazing moment
06:17 he means pulling a George Costanza !!!
LEGEND
I had a Sona relationship back in the 80s. I was definitely a ball buster in my Boutique office - a small team, small company. But the one guy who was, btw, the only employee I hung onto until the end of my business run, was this guy.
He would get fed up with me and curse me out, but he'd always be there the next day. I never realized at the time what an eff-head I can be, and I still think about him to this day.
I think there's probably a lot of people who are crazy enough to run a business against all odds, and to be successful, which I considered myself to be at the time.. But to be teamed up with someone who ultimately ends up becoming a family member is perhaps one of the best things you can ever happen to you.
And no, I've never learned how not to be an eff-head when I do my own business. I just know that when it's coming up, I try to lay low. There is no magic solution, by the way. We are who we are. I just need to know how to get out of other people's way and still get a product out.
btw, Thanks for hanging in there with me Danny.
Tu es excellent David! 😂🤣
eres.
I miss Conan doing a late night show.
most contagious laugh ever : LD
I love you all here!
Love that Conan does a "you envy me" ad read while wearing "special needs" blue bus / short bus glasses 🙂🥰
Makes me miss the Funkman even more when I see Larry! The Arab chicken episode is engrained in my soul as well as the episode where he purchased a prostitute to drive in the carpool lane to avoid traffic getting to Yankee stadium.
Gotta love Larry even if he doesnt love us
Larry David is one of the most uniquely funny people alive :D
Imagine Larry david, Jordan schlansky, and Karl pilkington in a podcast
Gotta have either Conan or Ricky to fan the flames
Only Larry David could, or would Heckle the Audience!❤
Literally having Zankou chicken right now on my desk…
I haven’t seen the rest of the podcast but I hope they’ve somehow brought up Norm. Him and Larry are my two comedy heroes but unfortunately their worlds never got to meet, and I’ve always wondered what Larry thought of him. I know Seinfeld loved him from the Netflix shows. And he also did the roast of Bob Saget with Susie Essman and Jeff Garlin. But unfortunately that’s as close as their worlds ever got to each other.
some of my favorite SNL sketches were the 12:50 ones.
His laughter is infectious.
I hope he is hosting snl soon to promote curbs final season
I see Larry is his own best audience.
Larry david has the most infectious laugh 😂
Who remembers Larry on Fridays, the SNL knock off that I think was better in many ways? He looked like Larry from the Three Stooges, with glasses. Look it up :D
Larry is one of the funniest human beings on earth.
Love it!🎉❤
Larry laughs like a Muppet 🤣🤣
Angels Envy Bourbon 🥃 presents 8:26 clip of Larry David and Conan!
Larry has never laughed this bad since reading the mean tweets about Kimmel
As a lifelong student of both Spanish and French, I think I just heard the joke of my lifetime. Had I been in one of the audiences that didn't laugh, I would've laughed hard at the joke and then at the berating of the non-laughers. It would've been the comedy club-going experience of my life.
Oh so this is a big Usted crowd eh?
When I was a youthful lad I lived in a horrible town where it seemed like no one liked to watch tv, you were a loser, an outcast if you liked tv or talked about shows that were drama or comedy. This was so far back it was kind of before MTV and Comedy Central hit. SNL was in a horrible phase. SCTV was magical. This show “Fridays” came on and it seemed weird, didn’t even address it being an SNL duplicate. They had this guy who I thought was sort of repugnant and I couldn’t figure out how this unfunny, cringe person (although no one really used cringe like that back then) could be on TV. That guy turned out to be Larry David who turned out to be the most brilliant comedian of all time. It goes to show you just never know. I guess I have to add that another show ran at the time that was a lifeblood, Late Night with David Letterman, a broadcast that gave me hope that life could be joyous. On that show Seinfeld appeared as guest, and Jerry’s greatness I saw right away. Anyway that’s my story.
ua-cam.com/video/HUqyIKnYnFo/v-deo.html
Wow!!! The tu form!!! That is hysterical! That is a super high level of comedy there... NOT everyone at a comedy show took a foreign language!!! That is funny though.
Larry should Host SNL and do a Skit of him Quitting there. 🤣🤣🤣👌
You need Larry David and Kevin Nealon on at the same time with Conan! There comedy styles mesh and would be pure gold!
Billy Crystal said Larry forgets that he actually had two sketches make it to air. The second one was about a weatherman.
Larry David is an international treasure.
ho boy. i can't unhear the fake laughter now
What is the sketch?
I know im super late to this but why andy is not in this btw?
2:52 man Conan was literally in the mid of a sentence when the ad starts... not cool
Zankou Chicken is fire 🔥
Pretty sure Latin didn't have a familiar "tu" when Caesar was around - it was just the singular. Perhaps the angry crowds were just Latin scholars.
Larry is the Patrick Stewart of comedy, he stopped aging in 1988
Have you seen the new season? He literally looks ancient lol
It's crazy, but I actually didn't get the two form joke, cause I was forced to take latinnnnn😂
If I stormed out of work and came back the next day, at best I’d have a grueling meeting with my manager and have to write a formal apology
You know Conan's good if he makes other comedians laugh
😂😅
If they had an award for best comedian that hates to be bothered, Larry would win hands down.
I always liked Louis CK's response to pics: "No. But, what's your name? What do you do for a living?" Several minutes later the stranger left feeling a much stronger bond than if they had just taken a picture.
my Mount Rushmore of comedy is Mel, Larry, Rock and Conan 😊
Mel Gibson? -- Alright
I kinda love how Larry and Conan get on. It would be sick if Jerry went on the pod but I can't help thinking it's never gonna happen 😄Mutual respect between Seinfeld and Conedawg but not super close????
They definitely seem to respect each other but I would guess they’d never be good friends bc Jerry is close w Leno
6:49 dude i wasn't looking at my screen and i thought this was a fart with reverb, am i tripping or what lmao
lol sounds like it if youre not looking. When looking, its his giggle with "yeah"
Long ball Larry
There was a Seinfeld episode where George had insulted his boss and his entire company and had ended up quitting, and then the next day he came back to work pretending that it had never happened (well, he actually said that it was his way of joking), so i guess this is where Larry and Jerry got the idea.
I remember that episode ! 😂😂💀
Yep. If you listen to this clip, they mention that his quitting and coming back was used in a Seinfeld episode.
"I'm gonna slip him a mickey!" 🤣 George was so f*ckin' nuts.
Its surreal to witness the real George kastannza...
He had two old standup bits which I saw him do 40 years ago and never forgot. One was about the embitterment of Jonas Saulk's mother and the other was about Dr. Mengele.
I don't know what two form or tu form is and I can't even find anything from googling it :(
Et tu, OkayMike?
“Tu” is the informal way of saying “you” in French. “Tu form” in this sense means just that - relaxed and causal
Go look up the French verb tutoyer. People even ask to use the informal 'tu' w/ someone before doing so.
The singular Je (I), Tu (you), & il (him) or elle (her). The plural Nous (we, in place of you + I), Vous (you + another, but also formal for just you), & ils (them, all males or a mixed group that includes at least 1 male) or elles (them, all female).
Did Larry say "tu form"?
I Love MikeSweeny 🤣
HILARRYOUS 😅
Larry was a Woody Allen protege who made good.
"I was very young I was a young man." said every old guy that was a savage in his youth haha.
