This should be a classic, treasured track, where are you hard core music fans, a few kernels in here are the just mindblowin edge. I could sit here and analyze this for ever, if the sound was mixed right like I know it is being played, but then I just have stop like when the band stops the chop and smoothes out for Davy, or the control of that cornet, but oh I cry that the to me obvious base lines didn't come through, and despite the fantastic almost sneaky organist, I do always miss Peter on Listen to the band. Peter York once said the roots of this music lay in the fact that young people felt disenfranchised (my word to sum up), like the world was insane and without sane leadership. Well, here we are again, put the phones down kiddies and make some noise! Twitter and UA-cam this song around with this message, anything can happen if you believe, and listen to the band. That's my patriotism.
@@coyoteailstock9498 That's why I stopped listening to regular radio years ago. Online stations like BBC 6 Music are the places to go to hear new music that isn't the usual stuff you hear on the radio. They've also been known to play a Monkees track here and there.
The picture that shows during the "I'm a Believer" part of the video is the image of Davy and Micky used on the cover of Changes. Nez and the backup band were edited out.
Thank for posting, very cool. I wish the video was available !!
The horn players sound awesome on "Someday Man"
Monkees with Sam & The GoodTimers, brilliant!
This was 10 days after _33⅓ Revolutions Per Monkee_ aired on NBC.
Tork left at the end of 1968. Would love the video of this performance or any of their 1969 tour.
Just found this - how cool is this? :)

Fabulous!!! Thank you so much for posting this!!
Thank you!! Love this!
Amazing
mature monkees: they came a long way baby in just 3 years
Love Mickey's impression of Otis Redding on I'm A Believer.
Mike's guitar looks so cool. Is it the Gibson SG he used in the Circle Sky scene in Head?
According to what I was reading seconds before finding this video, it is indeed that same custom SG. (This appearance was mentioned)
it almost looks like the cover pose for the very last LP w Davy & Micky ????????????

I guess Peter Tork was gone?
Yes, The Monkees did this concert a few months after Peter left the band.
Peter left after the 33 and a third special because he was tired of the grind at the time..
Terrible. Some good songs but horrible live.
