    Thanks a lot man, I got it all installed the other night and just getting started with all the settings, looks like you saved me some time, I appreciate it. First impressions, it looks very different in a good way! Also the Mantela is absolutely crazy!

    Great vid, nice and dense info thank you. I just upgraded to 4090 and downloaded mad god, so it's decision time for the settings. After first tests i found such a huge performance boost using steam link over vd. Now i have choose between enb cathedral and shaders it seems...

      @VRDaD  4 дні тому

      @@adamcox81 it’s a difficult choice. I love ENB but I want to give CS a very good test. Version 2.6 will be the turning point I guess. So nothing is stopping you to try both!!!

    As much as I like CS, I just still cant bring myself to use it over ENB. The lighting result that ENB brings to the table is still difficult for CS to imitate. It's difficult to describe other than it is an 'overall' lighting quality. I would love to see CS make some headway with skylighting, ambient light, and, like you mentioned, godrays.
    My hardware looks similar to yours.
    I push all ENB stuff on (i.e. ambient occlusion, skylighting). Ambient occlusion looks great when set to 'type 3'. Grass is on medium, dyndolod is on high (because I like the distant grass). My key performance factor is the heavily tweaked FFR in the VR performance kit. I push it pretty far, and it saves me 20 fps to put towards render resolution (Set at 180& on index).
    I get into the 50's fps around the forest of falkreath; In particular Half-moon mill, where I like to benchmark for highest demand.
    I will say that if you WANT to try to use DLAA, turn it on, go to your VR performance kit and turn on FFR. Push the FFR settings to something like 0.5, 0.6, 0.85. Then when you are in Skyrim, make sure to turn on 'fixed foveated rendering' in the DLAA dialogue box so you dont get artifacting happening around the peripherals. FFR does not work well with DLSS, but works VERY well with DLAA. I've spent way to much time trial and error with these things.

      @@seanmccarty6084 I perfectly understand what you mean. I am going to test version 2.6 soon and see how it performs and how the god rays look like. Maybe I’ll take a decision after that. Some of the things that CS has really are worth though, like the parallax and the sub surface scattering…so it really is a difficult choice. Which ENB are you using?

    Hey man, nice video, thanks for the tips. I have one question, it I'm using community shaders I can't use vdxr?

    • @VRDaD
      @VRDaD  3 дні тому

      @@rodrigoamattei yes you can! I tried it and it works. Just make sure that you select in MO2 the correct open composite option and make sure to set in VD the preferred runtime as VDXR and should work like a charm!

    Thanks for this, any idea why landscape textures shudder for me whenever i move? The game is buttery smooth but objects shake/shudder slightly whenever im moving

    So do you feel like CS looks better than the Rudy ENB you were using?

    • @VRDaD
      @VRDaD  3 дні тому

      @@mtritter1919 excellent question and probably the answer is an ethernal debate. CS look fantastic apart sometimes during the day where the lighting feels a bit off. The lack of godrays is also something I really miss from ENB. Other than that there are many more advantages in using CS, like complex materials, terrain parallax and sub surface scattering that simply are not there in ENB. So…I am going to keep CS for now (as I enjoyed ENB quite a lot) and see what the new version will bring. I will probably make another video about this and explain my choice.
