I'll be honest, I really didn't like this movie, for the following reasons
1-the plot is unintelligible
2-the pace of the movie is too fast and complex
3-the new characters (except Tempest Shadow) don't even have development, so I didn't even feel sorry for what Tempest did to each of them, besides all the characters (except Tempest, again) seem forgettable to me
4-the main villain (Storm King) is without a doubt a terrible, pitiful and forgettable villain, honestly this character was a bad joke to me (his goals, his personality and everything else), honestly the Storm King is the worst villain what have I seen from MLP: FiM
5-a lot of false advertising, some characters that appear in the ads (like Starlight, Sunburst and Trixie) barely appear but as background characters, while others (like Sunset Shimmer or Ember) did not even appear in the movie
6-That said, this movie is not good to me and it doesn't even seem to have had any "impact" on the series, except for the mention of Tempest Shadow in season 8 or the appearance of the cat (I don't remember its name) in season 9
However, despite this I still have redeemable qualities
1-the animation is undoubtedly wonderful
2-the soundtrack is more than acceptable (especially Sia's)
3-Tempest Shadow is undoubtedly a good character, she has a regrettable background so her actions are more than justified, plus she completely stole the show
4-The Mane 6 are still nice as in the series
well after saying that, taking into account everything bad and good about this movie, my rating is 3.5/10, yeah, I honestly feel like this movie could have been much better...
Why couldn’t the first song actually be the opening to the movie!? 😩😩
