all of its internals were stripped when it was rebuilt into a cabcar in 2011. it actually stayed as 406 for almost 11 years before being renumbered last year during rebuild.

Why does Amtrak only use five coaches. Why not ten? Think of mass promotions. The more ridership and people the money invested to be more successful and self sufficient.

I honestly think it makes more sense for 406 to be renumbered as it was an NPCUs already and accommodating the arrival of the ALC42s on top of it
alcs are going into the 400s?! I thought it was 300-360 and then the newer p42s would be kept.
