Just got mine. I have to say that we all appreciate your excellent videos and the sharing of your insights. I can’t thank you enough. Well done buddy. Well done.
Hello Jeffery, First of all i really thank you for your videos. I have a question at 6:40 I want to see marking area with “red light” before push the foot pedal between files. Regards.
I have a customer would like to prenet buring twice over an existing burn. Do we gave a way to fi that. For example, mount fixed scanner and scanbif a burn exists it will not allow the foot paddle to function. Any idea?
Oh gosh! Something similar to this may solve my Low Memory, crashing and file clearing scenario. I have pretty finely detailed hatch file and once they reach 20mb or so, they’re unreliable. Where I need 4 sets of all three hatches, rotating the angle to assure cleanout, I can only run one at a time, manually adjusting the angle/degree. (Not by my computer right now.) I want to be able to run all four, ideally stacking them, but EZCad can’t handle it. Maybe four separate files run similar to this would work. I need it to run while I’m not sitting there for the hour of time. I’ll have to watch this again from a bigger screen to see how it can work without the need of a foot pedal. Thank you!
Hmmm... Darn. I don’t have a foot pedal connected. Ideally I want them to auto run one after another. Tried a couple things. Way tooo late,/early. Will look again tomorrow/today. Unless you know? And thanks for your help. As it stands this may still save me some time and hassle.
Thanks! super usefull, mine I/O control (traffic light button) dont let me use port 15, it simply just can not be clicked, it is empty, can you help? my pedal is also on port 15
Hi, thanks a lot! It's possible use two machines with ezcad board with same pc? I want mark allways same file, but not want use 2 PC... I heard about remark pin, will it work like a memory? I load file with pc, mark once, unplug usb and remark pin will mark last file many times I want?
Hi jeff, Great information & u shown important setting. can u guide for the settings how to mark 2 different markings multiple. Means if A & B will be 2 diff files. Selective marking with single footswitch?
Hi, is it possible to select four or more different files via I/O but not consecutively? Be able to be called with a binary number. Is it possible to implement this with the MultiFileMark function?
DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS FOR 5HE FOLLOWING: Let's say you have a file with multiple tiny hatches, and you are using the resort option so it stagger them when marking. If I use the loop option (example 5 passes), it will do the 5 passes on a tiny hatch before moving to the next hatch. The problem is that it heats up the piece too much. I need for EZCRASH to do one full pass (mark all the hatches), before it goes to the next loop. Thanks!
As usual another great and nice short video. :) Off topic, but since Ebay lasers normally don't come with all kinds of extra's, what eye protection are you wearing?
Here's what I have: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VA7JOHW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I make a point of not looking at the workpiece while the laser is marking even though I'm wearing these.
Great Video Jeffery you have helped with a number of issues i have had thanks, on mine 8 to 15 don't work and my input is set to 8? I'm guessing there is a setting to turn this row on somewhere any idea why 1-7 work and 8-15 are all low and won't let me change state.
Jeffery thanks for you videos - We have to engrave 4,500 painted bottles and have to do two passes, one to take of the paint and the second to polish it. Is there a way to automate this without having to change the setting on each bottle?
Sure you can do this a few different ways. The easiest would be to just set up a hatch 1 and hatch 2 using different pens and line spacing. If you wanted more control over the timing of the passes, a more complicated way would be to duplicate the artwork and set it to overlap in the ezcad workspace then apply the appropriate settings to each object - then use i/o controls to cycle through the two objects in the object list just like I did in the video.
Fantastic! I had no idea on how to do this. Do you have anything on using a rotary? I just added it to my 2-yr old system and upgraded to 2.14.x software.
friend, good day, a question, I want to start recording send a signal to start the vacuum cleaner or smoke extractor, at the end of recording send a signal to relay or port to turn off smoke extractor, a pulse to start or turn off a photo is the same, thanks in advance.

I'm looking into buying a similar machine for marking objects that are 60*1200mm. What is your advice on size of the machine for my use? I mean, with these I/O options it would be possible to make a moving table or a conveyor and split the design into multiple objects and move the conveyor between each marking. But should I go for 100x100 or 200x200? Would you buy the same size and power again if you were to start from scratch? Thankful for any advice
The smaller your field, the more power you will have. If I were to buy again, I'd probably get a 30w with a 200mm and 100mm field lens and I would likely use the 200mm for the vast majority of my marking. I almost never really need depth, but it would be nice to have the 30w with a 100x100 combination just in case. That said, my 20w with 150mm field lens meets my needs and I've been satisfied with it.
@@jefferyj, thanks for your fast response, and thanks for your excellent videos on these lasers and the software. I had been wondering about whether I could hack this machine to control it externally but this video really showed that it is already made to be controlled by external inputs. I will go for 30W and 200 lens and a moving table for marking longer objects. Thanks!
hi, i have a cuestion, i need to engrave many rings outside, how can i program the data to make it at the same time, are bird rings, so i need to put many data in the same archive

Might be risky though....I'm not the best person to ask about rotary applications as I don't have the rotary attachment. Maybe ask your questions in this facebook group: facebook.com/groups/440091022989424/
Have you ever tried engraving a circuit diagram, imported as a dxf from autocad? Cause ezcad does not recognize line thickness set in autocad. Would love to hear about it.
I haven't tried it, but if you can draw it with outlines rather than single lines, it should be able to be hatched in EzCad. I'm going to post a video shortly about doing something very similar with a standard table.
I’m finding your videos very informative thank you but can I ask if you do any training at all? I’m having no luck being in contact with my Chinese supplier and have no idea how to use the ezcad software 🤞🙏🙏🙏

If you have a mopa fiber laser, you can do a solid black color on aluminum. If you have a laser like mine you can ablate the anodize layer. Most of this video ( ua-cam.com/video/UazT3HIriOI/v-deo.html ) was done on anodized aluminum. Just a white mark; have a look if you like.
I made this video in response to a question about how to mark multiple files without loading them manually. I cheated a little bit to make use of them with the foot pedal, but multi file mark is a much simpler solution. The I/O controls aren't really for this and I've never really used them. I believe they're for expanding the setup with external components like sensors, conveyors, cameras, etc.
