We love our Bogong 50w JPT split fiber laser and run a lot of challenge coins. We're doing deep engrave on brass and copper. We started out with the 100 lens but moved to the 70mm and cut the engrave time in almost 1/2 (50 fewer passes with the same power and freq). Our Bogong fiber has been flawless since the very first time we turned it on. Thank you Sherry and the Bongong team for empowering us to make great things.
Hi Todd. I'm just starting with a 50W to deep engrave brass. Would you mind sharing some starting parameters? I'm learning to be sure, but some start settings would be very helpful. All the best.
@@christinefoate8786 Hi Christine -- we switched back to the 100 lens and are running 60 passes at 1000 speed, 80 power, 40 freq, .0252 hatch, auto rotate at 17.173 degrees. Depending on how deep we want we'll vary the speed (down to 800) or the number of passes. The slower speed push more heat into the coins so we tend to stick at 1000 and just run 80 passes for deeper. It also depends on the material - we do copper, brass, and stainless steel. Copper is the softest and engraves quicker than brass and stainless. We Key is to experiment but hopefully our settings give you a good starting point.
@@toddltomlinson Hi Todd. Thank you so much for replying (I didn't think you would). I've only been doing this for 2 days, but I'm thinking you went with the 110 because of the depth of field. I got all excited when I saw you went to a 70 which is what I've been using. It goes out of focus pretty quickly though. I purchased a 110 as well so I think I'll start with that one and not waste any more time on the 70. Definitely need to learn everything inside and out, but your settings certainly give me a starting point and I am very grateful.
i went with this company when i bought a laser. and am 100% satisfied.. i see other companies from China with tons of problems after its delivered to the USA but no worries with this Bogong. if you go with this company you wont regret it.
Great video so many machine providers fail on the “how to use” side of the sales. A laser provider with good ezcad training and customer service will be more successful.
i hv some question.. 1) how many cycle to do this deep laser? 2) for 2nd & 3rd hatch setting, is it need to disable? i am using 50w fiber..but still not get the deep engrave like you did.. can u advice me? thank you very much
Hi, using time around 30-40mins, sorry I forgot how many passes. I only use hatch 1, disable 2 and 3. And I am using 100x100mm lens, are you using same lens ?
Line distance:0.03mm, auto rotate 36 degrees. Speed 1500, power 99, frequency: 50; cleaning parameters: power 30, other parameters keep same. Machine power: 50w.

Thank you for your valued information, Todd. We will consider 70mm lens. Hope it keeps created the value for your business.

@@BGCNCfiberlaser alright noted..yup i am using same 100x100mm lens also..now i can do slightly deep engrave..thanks for your advice..
Hola, se puede realizar con fibra láser 30w? Cual sería la configuración?
Muchas gracias
Even I have chosen Pen 2 and the same hatch setting as you did, the appearance does not look the same as you. what I want i do is reverse hatching.
For reverse hatch, you need add a circle or delate a circle. It depends on your drawing.
Ma'am. How many hours got to finish that engrave?
Around40 mins
Why you not tell speed and power??
power 80 speed 200, hatch 0.04 deep engraving
power 20 speed 1200 hatch 0.05 cleaning
Hey! Why did the second coin was filled diffrently ? what did you do?
reverse hatch
delete one circle
Thank you for the amazing video, can a 30w fiber laser do this?
yes, 30w also can do, just take longer time than 50w
Greetings friends, where can I get that vector file to practice that engraving, and if you can tell me how many watts is that laser machine ?
It’s 50w. You can send me email sales@bogongcnc.com
Hai.. how long to create that deep laser?
Hi I have this machine from you.. will the settings work on silver 925? 50w machine
yes, you can try with this parameter, almost same.
What are the hatch settings, and pen settings?
Line distance:0.03mm, auto rotate 36 degrees. Speed 1500, power 99, frequency: 50; cleaning parameters: power 30, other parameters keep same. Machine power: 50w.
If you draw a circle and clean the whole drawing, line distance set to 0.05-0.07mm
@@BGCNCfiberlaser thank you. I usually use much smaller hatch, which must be why it doesn't work
possible to share the files ?
Yes, send me email sales@bogongcnc.com
Could you please send me the file too
@@mikeasa4573 yes sue, pls send me email or tell me how to send it to you

Thx for your kindness.
