BMW M3 GTR E46 V8 - Loud 4.4L S65 Sound!

As I arrived at the trackday I heard a V8 but couldn't figure out what car it belonged to until this E46 took me by surprise. This was the first time I've ever seen an M3 of that generation powered by a V8 and what a glorious thing it was to behold.
Obviously not an original GTR but I'd say it's a pretty cool hommage to that iconic car. At least this thing is a proper race car and not some street car with a kit. Powered by the S65B44 out of the E92 M3 GTS, it's not as fast as the original but certainly no slouch. The 4.4L engine puts out 450 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque. I don't know anything about the exhaust setup but it does give the car a very nice typical crossplane V8 sound.
