Z you are just awesome bro! If this is too long a video then certain viewers are defo on the wrong channel. Some of us actually enjoy your long chit chats.

So... feel free to visit me in Seattle anytime during the next year to confirm that you've done good for the world. BTW, possible definition for 'covfefe' - substitute 'GOOD for AMERICA!' It works pretty well.

Very much on the late freight here, but really great review! I needed small desktop speakers and based on your review of the JBL 104s, bought them and have been pretty happy with them. I've watched this review completely through 3 times and read everything I could find about the T0s over the past couple of weeks and now will need to find something for my 104s to do because I'm ordering the Vanatoo T0s next week. Also very much liked and appreciated your T0 sound demo video! Thanks! * One week in, luvin' the Transparent Zeros more each day! Really pretty awesome speakers! Couldn't be happier, paired with a subwoofer! Thanks again for the heads up review!
I never would have guessed I'd be this into a snuff film. This is... nuts. I've dropped $400 on headphones alone this month. I am sorely, achingly tempted. God bless you, Vanatoo.
I bought these for the features as so aptly pointed out. And yes these are a great value... but they don't really really produce an adequate amount of mid range clarity. But there is a fix for that thankfully. You have to turn the bass all the way down and jack the treble up to your taste. Then you need to connect a sub and run it with the crossover as high into the mid-bass 150k range as you can. Let the sub take up the slack and they will sound good. As a matter of fact they play really loud for a small room but those little suckers run hot and will clip out if the push them for about 25 or 30 min. I guess you can put a fan on the amplified speaker. I am thinking about rigging up an external heat sync. Because for the small size they will scream and with a sub pumping out some bass you will be very very pleased. One last thing. They sound best when running the sub from the output of the Vanatoo and letting the electronic make the crossover adjustment. If you run the sub externally it will sound too boomy for the Speakers.
Does the volume knob matter for heat or just the level of volume you play music at? Only had these for 2 days so far, but with a sub set to highest crossover, they sound great.
@@teleguy5699 The volume will impact the load on the electronics and they intern will produce greater heat. Therefore if you push the speakers hard enough long enough at high volume it will self protect by clipping. Honestly, after my initial enthusiasm I seldom drive them hard enough to clip unless I am showing off with my bros
Still super happy with this purchase however after living with them for a bit, as delicious as they sound I just wanted a little more mid range imaging. So I went ahead and did a hack. I took and very nice midrange 3" dome tweeter and spliced into the output wiring of the existing tweeter by passing the wiring into the speaker housing at the passive radiator opening. Then I just glued the Dome to the flat faced side of the cabinet. It looks really highend protruding off of the side of the speaker. And now I can really hetthe vocals much more clearly.
@@teleguy5699 Certainly. That sub handles most of the heavy lifting on the low end and therefore the little amp driving the 4" woofer doesn't break a sweat .
I was in store for some new pc speakers seeing as how I decided to sell my Corsair 2500's to a buddy since they're not easy to find these days. After this review and a few others I decided to pull the trigger on these. Wow! These are impressive! Parts of me are curious about the T1's but the Zero's are absolutely amazing! From the manual "Vanatoo Transparent Zero speakers are designed to provide excellent bass at louder than normal listening levels". I happen to love louder than normal levels so this works well. I may toss in the BIC F12 (after your review) for my inferior listening levels if/when they come along. Thanks for the review and recommendation! Quite impressed.
Andrea Tilli Shopandship its called. My first time with them and everything was pretty seamless, but had to pay about 100 euros for shipping (its a 7kg package).
I'm sure you could if you don't mind voiding the warranty... and assuming the PCB isn't glued in such way as to make it impossible to extract. I'm working on a project right now to add a integrated DAC with line out to a existing set of powered monitors. After watching this I decided to add a bluetooth and wifi chip, so FML a simple project just got complicated. To be honest, ever since I saw the KEF LS50s the idea of making my monitors a little something more had been tickling in the back of my brain.

I spent over an hour last month at the LA Audio Show listening to these to where I think one day Gary went to lunch and came back and was like "you're still here?" I passed up on the T1 because it was just a tad bit too big for my desk and price was a bit high for me at the time. When I heard these, I was blown away. Yes, the T1 still sounds better but T0 is smaller and cheaper. I've been contemplating on getting one since I heard it and still haven't been able to make up my mind. grrrr.
Ports are weight controlled just the same as a passive radiator. The length and diameter of the port define the weight of the air in the port and hence the resonance frequency. A properly designed port will not need to chuff. The drawback of ports is the internal volume that they take. Internal volume of the cabinet is one of the inputs to hofman's iron law for bass response. (pick 2 of three, size, base extension, efficiency)
I don't need these because I have a Q5 Pro and the MB42X speakers set up on my living room TV based on your recommendations. I might buy a pair for my dad though.
A good video for you to do would be to buy the Dayton Audio speaker build kit. Build them, review the finished product, then sell them autographed if they want it autographed. It would be a fun mini series and would show what you can get out if a self built speaker kit. Could go along with the sun you built. Just an idea. I love the videos. Keep up the good work.

I just watched this review for the tenth time today, and it left me wanting them T0 more and more to the point of which i began crying, with anger and disappointment, why? Coz it doesent ship here in Saudi Arabia, for the love of god! can anyone tell me how to get them speakers here, and to z reviews, my man, thanks for them videos. i gotta admit though that it made me a bit crazy, but, but them videos are pretty darn on point, thanks again, and hope that someone can help get this speakers,
Thanks for the review. Your right about passive radiators on smaller powered monitors. Please choose a piece of music for critical listening that isn't so busy or generated from electronic sources. A nice piece with just a simple classical acoustic guitar (flamenco, baroque?) might reveal these speakers timbre more appropriately.
love passive transducer speaker systems. The first speaker I experienced was the Velodyne active subwoofer in the late 90s, it was the 10" subwoofer with 12". No clue if Velodyne is a good brand any more or if they even make speakers that are worth anything. However in the 90s when I worked for Circuit City, as a perk you could buy things direct from certain manufacturers for 70% off of retail prices. Needless to say I only really worked there for that discount. Then for portability I purchased the Kicker ZK500 "boombox", with its 6" passive "sub" the damn thing murders any boombox style speakers system I have heard( only down side is it came with a Zune dock, which I still have my original Zune to use on it). SO thanks to you Z...I am going to spend $300 bucks for a new set of "desktop" speakers :)
This is one of the few reviews where I didnt even realize that it was close to an hour long. I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO enthralled with Zeos reviewing these. Mind you, I am on seirous ADHD medication as well. Thank you, Zeos. Now to just get the wife to release her death grip on our financial strings.
5 years later, still the best to me. Sure there are probably speakers that can match the sound quality for the price. But the simple small and stylish form factor still looks so great on even small desks.
You done good Z. Amazing sound and so many options.....hands down, no doubt the best speakers for the money.....just grab a pair if your in the market for the boom, no sub required but if you think you need more bass adding a sub to the mix you can. just order now you will not be disappointed. 100 dollar Polk sub and your done.
Great video. , you mentioned you had the Swans lifted up. What did you use for this? Mine are on their way! The T0 will be my next buy, once I get the ok of course...
Vanatoo makes great speakers. Switching stereo to mono is sometimes useful if you are watching something that only has a single left or right recording, every so often i've run into videos like this, being able to switch to mono is useful for those scenarios.
Faceman2k12 yeah man, can you believe that shit? It's like the engineers in that company are actually trying to make shit people will enjoy to use or something. What is the world coming to?
I'm not sure if I should be worried that he's already calling it "Her". Next thing you know he's reviewing her compatible humanoid body in a two-part video with part 2 only available on YouPorn. :)
Could be wrong. But I think the remote only says Coaxial on it because all Vanatoo products are using the same remote at the moment. Regardless of whether the speaker has the feature.
Would you suggest these over Kanto Yumi? They both have sub out, Bluetooth, optical inputs, and remotes. I listen to mostly Melodic Death Metal and anything Rock. What sub would you recommend?
Oh, Vanatoo is in Federal Way, WA eh. Looks like they have a store too. I should go check it out. Have you tried putting a DAC in front of it through the 3.5 analog in? I was gonna say it needs some RCA ins but I guess it has the 3.5 in.
I'm pretty sure that cable that connects the left speaker with the signal and power is a10P10C that they use with UPS battery back ups! how are the Ohm's treating you??? a friend of my mom has the F's hooked up to some tube amp, they sound magical, he says there temperamental and can blow the woofers easy and are hard to come by the originals and don't sound the same with the repos and old cant be fixed he says at least!
and if you ever get a chance get a pair of Mirage 290is .... i had a pair sooooo good a hidden gem and the bass so good and deep tight and fast and the uppers are AMAZING to i so regret getting rid of them i still have the mirage sub lf150 very musical for a 10 inch 150 watt 600watt peak
Speaking of spending the money on these to add to your TV, that is exactly what lead me here. So I have it narrowed down to a few small bookshelf speakers with 4” drivers to set on my fireplace mantle on each side of my TV. Small to medium sized living room with kids thus the reason for smaller discreet bookshelves. So in your opinion which option would be better, all are similar price: Vanatoo T0 Peachtree M24 Q Acoustics 3010 with SMSL Q5 Pro Kanto YU4 Any info is appreciated from anyone who has experience with any of these. Thanks for the reviews!
I would love to see a "does it suck" series. Take some cheap speakers from time to time and let us know if you find some tiny jewels. 100$ or less, one example would be Edifier R1800T III. Also, keep up the good work.
Ha, was on the fence between lsr305 and rokit 5's for my desk, found a bundle with pads for under 300 euros and along come these for 260 euros. thank you a thousand times over. Question, I have a Fulla 2 so if I line out to the analog input I should be okay correct?
Damn u got me hooked, now i'm looking for a way to have them shiped in Romania :D I'm looking for buy a pair of these and hook up with a Subpac. I have a flat response from 5-20.000hz, not disturbing the neighbours=i can do music at 3AM ++ to answer a couple of questions from your review: why you need mono summing? In studio, you may need to check if your song translate in a mono environment. Why would we choice them as studio monitors, not for the bass extension but for it's liniarity given by the DSP. Quite simmilar to thoe IK iLoud Mini Monitor but the T0 is more flexible and looks scifi :))
OK UA-cam... 3 years is a life time in this market. As great as this review is, getting hold on them now is very costly.. pity as they would fit my work requirements perfectly...
Hey Z, so have yu heard of Abacus? An outfit operating out of Germany. They make mainly hi and stuff- so I’m told! But anyways, I came across a little speaker they make. Originally it was Abacus C-Box 2 but they have since been upgraded to a newer and improved model- C-Box 3. Now these things are tiny as but some how manage to go as low as 35hz?! I’m talking 3in (closed box) woofer. Add to that, not much info on them across the interweb, save for a vey favourable 6Moons write up with the other few being in German. So what I’d love to know is.. Would yu be into running a shoot out between the above Abacus, Eve Audio’s little babies- SC03 I think? Of course the Vanatoo T0’s and last off, the Genelec 8010?? The Abacus C-Box 3’s are super intriguing to me! I’d love to see how the above little bunch all stack up..!! Keep doing what yu do brother! Great to see someone so passionate about audio expressing it in such a way! Regards S : !)
thanks watched the whole video and ordered a pair. i've been using shitty $50 computer speakers for the last 5 years so i can't wait to hear these in person.
Zeos, you said in another video S300 and T1's are only speakers which you absolutely do not need a separate woofer. Are these also in that club in a desktop setup? Is the low end far off from the T1?
@Z Reviews so what kind of DAC is inside these? Spec sheet says "USB audio up to 48kHz at 16 bits Toslink optical up to 96kHz at 24 bits 3.5 mm (1/8") analog input, ADC sampled at 48kHz at 24 bits" So that means there's no use connecting these to my DAC/preamp out, since then the signal will go back to digital through ADC then back to actualy sound waves through internal DAC? I was always confused by these "built-in dac" speakers of "modern age", especially considering most of them are cheapo-garbage, and now I'm even more confused because these seem like a good pair of speakers, yet they're still going for that all-in-one that I'm not able to understand. Please Zeos, enlighten me.
If the amplifier is anything like the one on the T1 it stays in digital form and never goes to analog before the amplifiers it just uses ultra-high precision digital signals to the drivers which are stuck in the analog world and therefore do the translation because physics. I would use the USB input if I could. Analog has to be converted to digital like you said.
Zeos, can you look into doing a review on the Fiio D3 (D03k) DAC? It's a $20/25 budget dac that seems to get high appraisal. I was also wondering if we can get a update on the Chromecast Audio review you did when it came out. Maybe pair this dac and the CCA together and see how they do? Would definitely be something I look forward to!
Still wouldn't do it justice listening through UA-cam. These sound incredible in person. By far the best sounding small speakers you will ever hear. They even put to shame speakers that are larger easily. You will not regret buying these
@@MrMegatron85 I bought them shortly after that comment. They have NOT disappointed. I paired them with a PSW-10 I had laying around and it has been as good, if not, better than my Sennheiser HD 660S's
It's funny that I had these speakers on stands for years and recently found out they sound better on the desk angled upward toward your ears. Noticeably punchier and look way better too. I use an SB-1000 SVS sub with them even though they are ok without it because it takes so much strain off the amp. Without the Sub I need about 90 percent volume to be satisfyingly loud. Only about halfway with a sub connected.
Zeos what do you think about the Polk Audio PSW10? Is it worth considering? It's $79 currently. I'm deciding on a sub to pair with my new Teac AI-101DA and a pair of old realistic bookshelf speakers on a desk. Would you you go with the Dayton Sub-800, Sub-1000, Sub-1200 or Monoprice 12"?
built a transmission line speaker for less than 100$ and it sounds better than monitor audios double the price.I think with improved design you can go in the 40hz region the design is somewhere in UA-cam with a Dayton designer series woofer and tweeters

Good to know, will have to look at them again for future needs!
I'm so going to replace my sound bar.
Try a classic choke hold. Usually works on most married women.
@@ZReviewsOr as Morrison sayeth. A backdoor man.
that's an RJ50 cable, not common but you can still find them used in the industry.
If I was in the market for new desktop speakers these would probably be top of the list. If my current monitors die then I'm hunting these down.
This or peachtree m24?? They’re the same price as of now.
A year and a half later. Are they still the best computer speakers out there?
5 years later, still the best to me. Sure there are probably speakers that can match the sound quality for the price. But the simple small and stylish form factor still looks so great on even small desks.
You done good Z. Amazing sound and so many options.....hands down, no doubt the best speakers for the money.....just grab a pair if your in the market for the boom, no sub required but if you think you need more bass adding a sub to the mix you can. just order now you will not be disappointed. 100 dollar Polk sub and your done.
I have the T1, love it. I compared it with many other speakers around that range(thanks to amazon prime), and love the T1 the most.
Great video. , you mentioned you had the Swans lifted up. What did you use for this? Mine are on their way! The T0 will be my next buy, once I get the ok of course...
Vanatoo makes great speakers.
Switching stereo to mono is sometimes useful if you are watching something that only has a single left or right recording, every so often i've run into videos like this, being able to switch to mono is useful for those scenarios.
for those that want to skip to the sound-ish review part: 27:23, enjoy and thanks up if you use the hyperlink
I want em I'm in Australia so will see how it goes,Like your review Chanel heaps. Goodonya!
... you can dim the power led? YOU CAN DIM THE FUCKING POWER LED?!
Faceman2k12 yeah man, can you believe that shit? It's like the engineers in that company are actually trying to make shit people will enjoy to use or something. What is the world coming to?
sometimes it is the little things that make all the difference
LITTLE THING??? I SHOW YOUU WHAT´S LITTLE!!!
Just ordered them using your Amazon link. Thanks for all the solid reviews. Can you request a mid-range sub for these I can use in my home office?
Holy shit Vanatoo is completely insane. So many options! Respect.
I bought them, tonight for my 17ft Casita travel trailer !
does anyone know where I can get these or the T1's in the EU?
Ph K Well you could probably somehow get a shipping service to get it shipped to you.
Dorupero yes, but you know, import tax yada yada yada. trying to find a cheaper alternative if at all possible.
Ph K The headaches and the cost probably won't be worth it. Just get what you can...unless you really want these.
I went to their website and asked them directly.
Maybe if enough of us ask them to ship to Europe they'll take it under consideration..
See my comment above, i may have a solution.
Can't judge a speaker by playing Chris Cornell he sounds amazing on anything
Who is Chris Cornell?
@@dodecahedron1 Oh the guy that killed himself and left his children fatherless. Yeah,...
@@augmentedkeys5971 oh snap...
i need these and alexa in my life
I'm not sure if I should be worried that he's already calling it "Her". Next thing you know he's reviewing her compatible humanoid body in a two-part video with part 2 only available on YouPorn. :)
Guys, it's a 43mins review. You don't need to ask for comparison of the same speakers in the same price range. Too bad it's hard to get in SEA.
why not avaible in europe
The sound demo was done through my normal living room setup. Odac->Tascam->miniDSP->T0
Oh yeah, forgot about your Odac out there.
Love my Ohms. When I go away from them for a while it takes a good 3-4 hours to get back to the omni-directional sound not being weird.
So in your opinion which option would be better, all are similar price:
Vanatoo T0
Peachtree M24
Q Acoustics 3010 with SMSL Q5 Pro
Kanto YU4
Any info is appreciated from anyone who has experience with any of these. Thanks for the reviews!
The hindsight on that "mute light" situation.
I would love to see a "does it suck" series. Take some cheap speakers from time to time and let us know if you find some tiny jewels. 100$ or less, one example would be Edifier R1800T III. Also, keep up the good work.
Damn I wish this was part of the prime day deal
Vanatoo doesn't move enough product to cut their costs like other things. So they might never.
Makes sense
Anon, I....
Should we send help?
This is what happens when you smoke roofies.
edit: after looking at his channel, I realized he has a disability of some sorts..
I have a flat response from 5-20.000hz, not disturbing the neighbours=i can do music at 3AM
++ to answer a couple of questions from your review: why you need mono summing? In studio, you may need to check if your song translate in a mono environment. Why would we choice them as studio monitors, not for the bass extension but for it's liniarity given by the DSP. Quite simmilar to thoe IK iLoud Mini Monitor but the T0 is more flexible and looks scifi :))
Amazon not shipping to/selling in the UK .. did find a seller in the UK .. £520 ($700) 🤬
OK UA-cam... 3 years is a life time in this market. As great as this review is, getting hold on them now is very costly.. pity as they would fit my work requirements perfectly...
Nice work here. Very enjoyable review. What is an appropriate sub match to these T0s?
I am also curious about this. Love these speakers, but think I'm ready to add a sub.
In first 30 seconds of this review you sold me. Boom......My life is incomplete! I need them on my desk

Great to see someone so
passionate about audio expressing it in such a way!
Regards
S : !)
I'm getting these with a preamp and switch for a retro gaming setup. The deal is sealed... once I get room for a retro gaming setup...
I just purchased a pair... I'm looking forward to their arrival... Ground Shipping
The question i have is, is there any other speaker in this size that is better for a desktop speaker?
thanks watched the whole video and ordered a pair. i've been using shitty $50 computer speakers for the last 5 years so i can't wait to hear these in person.
Zeos, you said in another video S300 and T1's are only speakers which you absolutely do not need a separate woofer. Are these also in that club in a desktop setup? Is the low end far off from the T1?
Would these be usable in 220v countries?
It all depends on the power brick. It says 110-240V so should be all good.
Thanks!
Not available in the UK yet... That sucks!
@Z Reviews so what kind of DAC is inside these? Spec sheet says
"USB audio up to 48kHz at 16 bits
Toslink optical up to 96kHz at 24 bits
3.5 mm (1/8") analog input, ADC sampled at 48kHz at 24 bits"
So that means there's no use connecting these to my DAC/preamp out, since then the signal will go back to digital through ADC then back to actualy sound waves through internal DAC?
What would be a good center speaker to pair with this? I recently moved into a bigger space and find the center lacking right now
It's a shame most of the sound demo videos were taken down. Would have loved to hear these before purchasing.
Could I use these without a receiver in the living room? Optical out from TV to the speakers?
Yes, I can. Figured it out.
Z you should make a new walkthrough video! You got so much more stuff compared to the last one.
When I start streaming on twitch it will be unavoidable. Just have to hide all my security features.
could you please do a video detailing your set up here.?
Zeos what do you think about the Polk Audio PSW10? Is it worth considering? It's $79 currently. I'm deciding on a sub to pair with my new Teac AI-101DA and a pair of old realistic bookshelf speakers on a desk. Would you you go with the Dayton Sub-800, Sub-1000, Sub-1200 or Monoprice 12"?
Id do the monoprice over the Polk. But the dayton over the monoprice.
built a transmission line speaker for less than 100$ and it sounds better than monitor audios double the price.I think with improved design you can go in the 40hz region the design is somewhere in UA-cam with a Dayton designer series woofer and tweeters
Do you ever review brands like B&W, Canton and etc.... Love your videos, thanks
P.o.B pedals he did a B&W P7 review about a year ago
vanatoo t0 or iloud micro monitors for low level listening ? (i have jbl 305 that are amazing at high level listening but meh at low level listening )
These
Considering the iLoud 40W. Looking for a good portable 12V system for my new boat. :-) These run at 24V, which might be good for my friends boat.
Super interested how these compare to the Klipsch R-15PM's (now that the klipsch are being sold in the $300 range as well).
