This music puts me in the mood of celebrating old music played by young people. Or celebrating that I am still alive to experience such a wonderful music! I am 79 but still going pretty strong.
Maybe you are Italian like me, surely I am as old as you are, or almost (71 of age) . Anyhow, in English, I completely agree with your comment. The age of the musicians and their ability are a strong antidote.
I appreciate this performance particularly thanks to three reasons. First of all the excellent musical execution, second because of the informal clothes the musicians dress, and third because they look so young! Wonderful! Thank you very much
Magnifique ! It"s hard to believe that Purcell wrote such a jubilant music in an England ravaged by 150 years of political and religious war, by a plague that killed between 75,000 and 100, 000 people, finally eradicated by a fire that destroyed half of the city... and that, although he did not lose 14 of his children like JS Bach did, he nonetheless died at 26 of tuberculosis after heavy sufferings... Respect Monsieur Purcell, you're music is still enlightening our lives and telling us to stop complain and moan about everything like spoiled children.
Le paradoxe est à peine moins saisissant que celui du roi Henry VIII qui composait des mélodies pleines de poésie tout en assassinant ses opposants et deux de ses femmes…
Lovely to see you all again and in such a wonderful setting. The way you make this music accessible to everyone is great. This time you have outdone yourselves.
J'adore la musique de Purcell et je suis très heureuse de découvrir de jeunes gens l'interpréter avec tant de talent ! Merci mille fois et bonnes fêtes
Wow!! This was glorious!! So glad UA-cam recommended this video to me... have subscribed and am now going through more of your performances! Thank you for posting these!
Yes, but in this case, Purcell wrote dispite of all the miseries in the world Henry VIII wrote beautiful music but he was the evil murderer of his wives himself
I love the way they look. Especially the abundance of rapunzelesque hair. Worrying about how you “are supposed to look” is a “Barrier to Entry”. Love Island may be the place for you? The important thing is to get in there, play and listen and feel what the music does to you all together in that very beautiful place.
Magnifique, beau, joyeux … merci infiniment. Jo

@@riccardobiffoli628 No, I am from northern Sweden, but music has no borders. Greetings!

The reason that they look so young might be that they are young.

Absolutely splendid. So good to have so much Purcell. Beautifully presented and videoed, though I failed to recognise the cathedral! Lovely city.
Magnificent! Thank you Beniamino, Nele and all players and singers...a Happy Christmas to you all!
I’ve always admired this group, directed by the very talented Beniamino. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

They could have rolled their "r" more often to some of the words.
Thank you for your comment. We did this on purpose as we chose for 17th century pronunciation.
Disculpa pero todos deben vestir de gala, empezando por el director.
Todo cuenta.
Por lo demás muy buena interpretación.
I really like the way they are dressed.

Entonces que todos vistan de manera similar, de la forma que quieran pero un poco más uniforme.
