It's so weird to think that Mark has social anxiety because I've commented a couple of times on some of his other videos about how my favourite moments are when interacts with strangers at the bakeries or wherever. Those interactions always seem so organic and wholesome, so it's just wild to me that someone I perceived to be so effortlessly social actually suffers from social anxiety too

I’ve never actually called it social anxiety, but boy do I recognize the feeling of not belonging. In class, at work, in the gym, who are these people around me and why do they seem so …. like belonging to another universe. The interesting thing is that they don’t feel the same towards me. For them, I hardly exist, except in case someone happens to be in to some naughty stuff.
Your channel is one of the first I followed when I "discovered" YT about 10 years ago. I don't comment often, but I just want to say your honesty comes through in your videos. Your lack of fear in discussing difficult subjects keeps me coming back for more. I appreciate the work you do. Thank you.
I just want to thank you for talking about your social anxiety. I have always had a hard time understanding why I feel the way I do when going out or to a party where either I know people or know no one. The way that you explained the feeling hit the nail on the head and is really helping me understand my anxiety and explain to others what I am feeling and why I'm acting awkward or stand offish. Thank you!!

Mark, I LOVE the change in your content. You're more open and real with your feelings, about your prospects for dating, and just simply what's going on in your head when you find a guy hot. It's so refreshing. Also, sharing your struggles with social anxiety is so helpful. When you mentioned being in a room and feeling like you're the only one who doesn't belong is, I think, an experience that SO MANY of us know about having grown up gay and always feeling like we're the only one in the room who feels the way we do.
