MOST underrated is a massive stretch. It is underrated but she has many more songs that are way less talked about and deserve way more than they get. This live performance is far superior to the album version.
that guy on the piano has been with Lana for YEARS! I've seen him play for her when she sang in Letterman and other shows later on when she became big... it's nice.
Blake the guitarist has also been with her since, it so cool to see how they've stuck together all these years. The chemistry between all of them at concerts is phenomenal.
I know this is three years late, but it may be weird that I honestly think that Lana influenced female sing pop music of this era in a way few other's reached. She embodied the mood/atmosphere of music, in a way that now artists like Billie Eilish (melancholic mood) and Dua Lipa (free-spirited mood) do now.
She wasn’t really famous back then, so she was very happy that people came and listened to her heavenly voice. Her eyes beamed, and that is the most beautiful thing in the world.
She does portray her self as vulnerable compared to other songs, in this song she says "now my life is sweet like vanilla is" which is smooth, innocent when you think of vanilla you just think sweet, where as in another song in the album "radio" she sings "now my life is sweet like cinnamon" which is sweet but also has a spice, a kick to it like a double sided sword, this song has 0 curse words it's sweet and innocent where as radio has the line "like a fuckin dream I'm living in" giving a sarcastic meaning as if her life isn't this big dream it's made out to be, people may use her for money "baby loves me cuz I'm playing on the radio" all of this makes her seem grown and finally invulnerable unlike this song
We all love Lana she cries because she knows she's growing and she's happy people actually come to her concerts and performances shoot I would do anything just to meet Lana In person

Isn't it weird? An "unknown" girl in plain white buttonup shirt and blue jeans nervously singing. And they seemed to know she was going to be an icon in few months.
i think before this show they've already started introducing the BTD album, like a promote perhaps? and this performance is to like let people meet her in real life to see who's this new girl
Came looking for a live version after I saw her perform, This Performance is such a gem. She deserved every moment of her Coachella headlining this year 2024
3:23 That moment she finished singing and had tears in her eyes and said "I love you" was so genuine and beautiful, I wished to just time travel there and give her a tight hug
I recently discovered her music in June and I was instantly obsessed! She’s taken over my entire music playlist. I even came down to buying a poster of her lol.
I miss this Lana. She was so sweet. Not saying that she is mean, she is still very very sweet. but I feel like she holds back, as if society changed her. I love you so much Lana
She says she cencored mostly of her songs in lfl because screw the media forcing it's way to her personal life. Her album ultraviolence was her most personal one at the release. Because she feels like people are just reading jer diary. Cause her label made her release these bombass tracks. Telling a beautiful postive relationship to a negative toxic relationship to her ex fiance.barry. from brooklyn baby to shades of cool. Things get dark and violent. Or do i mean, ultraviolent

Then I would come to this exact video. I would feel her love with her voice, her song, her little mannerisms and how she spoke, just everything about her. And i would fall in love, completely in love. So i would be enraptured by this feeling of comfort and love and joy. I can’t exactly explain it but I remember the sensation that my heart would feel like bursting from all the love and happiness. And so, for that 4 minutes and 6 seconds, the pain, the numbness, every bad thing would go away. I would cry of happiness and i would feel so safe and fall soundly asleep. Now listening to this, it brings me back. I still cry like a fucking baby when i hear her sing and that little “i love you guys” at the end, my heart explodes with every positive feeling. Though circumstances and myself have changed, the feelings haven’t. I’m so happy to find this gem again. Nothing quite captures the word “love” like Lana’s songs.
