Wow Ron, this is amazing work. Brilliant modelling & excellent video production, a lot of time spent on both👍 Building something myself similar along these lines, but much smaller, & not as destructive. Figures look very good, loving the pipework too. Brickwork, rubble, banner - all very good. Subscribed & look forward to future projects ☺👌
@Barbarossamodels Thanks! glad you enjoyed. Yes, it takes time, but very enjoyable creating, painting & weathering. Look forward to seeing your diorama soon!
Funny to see that all accessories are now made separated, I'm an old experiment modeller, before all of these were handmade ( pipeline, streets rubbles... ) anyway does not take away from the quality of this achievement ! Well done ! take care : )
Thanks, glad you liked! I try to keep materials low cost, for this the xps foam for wall & base cost $3, bricks $10, debris was scrap wood/wire, several items like floral wire & rope from dollar store - home dirt can be used for ground. Low cost plaster can be used for ground also but I already had spackling from home repairs. You can draw the bricks on to save money but I enjoy trying new techniques that can give realistic results. Thanks for watching & appreciate your feedback!
The end result is amazing and well worth all the time and effort put into it. Brilliant job ! I do however feel the need to point out that the brick roller from green stuff is supposed to be pressed down into foam to create the sunken lines between the bricks so there would be no need to use a knife and scribe. That would only need a bit of extra definition ! I've never seen it done with rolling paint and then cutting and scribing afterwards, that's how it was done in the (old days) the Green Stuff roller is supposed to cut out most of that hard work. This is not a gripe, but just an observation, as I said the end result is absolutely gorgeous !
@subliminalstyrene811 Thanks for your great feedback! Yes, rollers are used to indent foam, plaster and so on & I have used this process for other dioramas with using DAS and similar sculpting products. The xps foam I have available is quite hard & too dense for rollers but with using paint, was a good substitute for drawing by hand all the bricks & getting them to scale. Appreciate your feedback, thanks!
Amazing brake down!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed

At that close range, the machine gun bullets would blast through that wall like it was made of meringue. 😂
Thanks 👍🏼
Amazing piece of art. Very inspirational. Quite expensive though, considering all materials?
Thanks, glad you liked!

At 29:34 we are in the pov of the German soldier - my question: how did you got the fine structure in the helmet? Ich looks so real!!
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed! yes, very realistic result
Also metal structure across from German soldier is from Yufan shown at 13:41. Thanks!
How did you make the wall at 11:50
The small wall section near the Soviet figure came with the figure - it’s First Legion brand 35054 Sniper Diversion, thanks
MG42 had not been used in Stalingrad.
Thanks. An online search states it was used in very limited numbers 👍🏼
