THIS SERVER CLOSED, may reopen some time in the future. this was a server we were TESTING...and these were all our members. we tested the server a few times but this was our first. they knew i was gonna be playing with admin tools to test the server, unlike our main server where staff replicates official and thats it.

map was Swans Island, 2% the size of official servers, with a 20 pop cap...thats the same pop vs sqkm as 500 on an official server!
back then (4 months ago) we were trying to come up with new ways to get pop. this is one thing we explored. it didnt work. but it was fun as hell the month it lasted! server is closed now but im SURE we will bring it back soon.

If you've played a lot of Dayz, then this type of overview of survivors ambling about is absolutely fascinating.

It is fascinating - watching survivors sneak and sprint about, looting and watching; all the time missing other survivors by seconds.
It comes back to that in game decision making facility, do I loot that next cabin or or do I just go back to base?
You loot the cabin you find a scope...
You go back to base you get ambushed on your way...
You don't loot the cabin you bump into a survivor and team up...
You don't go back to base and whilst you're away it gets raided...
So many permutations and you as 'Admin God' get to see it all unravel, I love the idea you get to comment and observe survivors folly or their wise decisions - it is endlessly intriguing.
This looks SO much fun! As others have said, this is another great from Tomato King Raw! Thanks for yet another great video, this one is perhaps my favourite so far - really hope you will bring this server back online, it looks epic!

omg it was! but players on our main abused the fact that we ran this server 3 hours a week. they waited til the event was going and most of our main server members were on this pvp server, and they raided ppl on the main. then the ppl that got raided while they were in the pvp server quit bc of how cheap it was. so we lost players on our main.
Love it! Is there a mod where you can have specator pov from players? That would be awesome.

ya we fixed that pretty late in the HEAVY PVP server run before it shut down.
when did this happen and will you be doing again ?
complicated. basically the pvp server being open sapped the player base from our main. teams were raiding on our main when the pvp server was open. so yes i wanna reopen it, but we need multiple healthy servers first. i miss it SOO MUCH.
oh and when did it happen? for 30 days, 4 months ago. we were exploring new ways to attract new players but if the server doesnt have 20 minimum, it just doesnt play well.

@@deadagaindave we opened it once a week. took literal hundreds of hours of coding and testing. plus like $30 for the month, and it hurt our main server too much. ppl raiding on main server while everyone was on pvp server. to do all that work for LESS events is not justified.
