  • Another issue, this one marks the second Installment of the feature "Weird Crimes", penned by Seabury Quinn. It also features the first installment of "Draconda", a space romance that would be serialized in the next five issues and the longest work published by the magazine so far.

The Invisible Monster was written by Lovecraft's future wife, and he was most likely involved in the writing of the tale as well.

That does explain its Lovecraftian feel.

I remember reading this in a Lovecraft collection. I don't know if that means he had a part in it or not.

If I didn't miscount, this edition had no cats, no primates, and only one mention of a Chinese person. That is going to skew the data.

We should have included things with tentacles or pseudopods in the list, those will skyrocket, I am sure.

I was hoping that this would be a reading rather than a critique :(

I do readings of some of the stories in the issues I critique. See this playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PL85SimCwLFekTjs6WLJZY9c6r4jgIK4n0.html
